Called emergency plumber at 12.34, plumber would attend between 4 and 5. Called at 4.45 for time of arrival to be told plumber had clocked off and couldn't attend until Wednesday. Some emergency service

I had my first dealings with Plumbers Direct and can only say that they could not have been more helpful and willing to assist at every turn. They were professional at all stages of our discussions and just as importantly, they turned up on time and ensured that they double checked the work they completed before leaving and not before they made certain that they left everything behind in a clean state. I highly recommend this organisation.

This was an appauling experience. Rang the at 09:30 to book a visit to my 86 year old Mother in Laws to fix a toilet. When the agent answered he asked me if it was ok to hold on for a minute. 5 minutes of music ensued and I should have learnt my lesson then. When he came back on he explained that he could get someone there between 4 and 5pm but it could be earlier. I explained that she was old and had alzheimers and that I needed to be called before so that I could get there in advance. The agent said yes they would do that as a matter of course. At 4:35, I had heard nothing. Given that the latest they should arrive was 5pm, they should have already rang. I called them to try and understand when they were due to arrive. Again, the agent answered but immeadiately says, "do you mind holding for a minute". Before you have had a chance to say anything, the music starts. 15 minutes later Im still listening to music. I hang up. It is now 4:55, 5 mins before their latest arrival time, but still no call to me. I ring back. Same thing happens again. I ring back for a fourth time and before the agent has a chance to say anything I say PLEASE DO NOT PUT ME ON HOLD . It's now 5:15 and my mother in law is nervously waiting. He is still unable to verify even an estimated arrival time. I cancel the call. My day wasted and my mother in law is confused and nervous. The call handling system is simply appauling, let alone the actual plumbers not attempting to advise on their time of arrival at all. Do not use this company.

Used website for urgent callout via email. Tenanted property & I am landlord. No response to tenant within 24 hours- not an emergency service, so wouldn't recommend at all & will never use again.
Company response to this was "that my email address was in the UK "- So? Tenants name, email & Oz mobile and Sydney suburb given on request form.

Plumbers direct were recommended by the kitchen company I was using and was very happy with their service. They completed the plumbing works in the kitchen and mid way through i asked them to also do some work in the bathroom, including sourcing new fittings (basin, toilet etc). They were very attentive and helpful, easy to deal with and the works were completed on time. I would definitely use them again and recommend them. Thanks Plumbers Direct.
