Habe eine Pullover aus Alpaka/Seide gekauft. Der kratzt ganz fürchterlich, was bei diesem Materialmix nicht zu erwarten war. Ein Umtausch wurde abgelehnt mit dem Hinweis, dass Wolle kratzen kann. -???-
189€ (ist ja nicht wenig) zum Fenster rausgeworfen.

Stil und Farbe sehr schön, deshalb 2 Sterne statt 1

Why am I not surprised at the poor reviews of this company!
I placed an order with this company, the item was ok, nothing special and not for me. I returned it and the return postage was free but Poetry tried to pull the trick that some retailers still try to do and they did not refund the £4.99 postage I had paid to have the item delivered. They know they are breaking the Consumer Regulations (when returning the full order in the correct time period). I did everything correctly and when I emailed them to find out why they had not refunded the postage, I received a haughty response from the customer service advisor referring me to their terms and conditions. I searched thoroughly their terms and could not understand why she had referred me there and in any case, I was within my rights under the Regulations. I referred to the Regulations but this staff member decided to "correct" me by quoting the Distance Selling Regulations which were superseded 10 years ago!!! This company should not employ incompetent people to answer complaints emails because they look completely stupid as a company quoting out of date consumer regulations! In the end they had no choice but to refund the postage due to me but now I have another problem, they will not remove me from their postal mailing list. I will never ever buy from this company but every two weeks I get a catalogue in the post. I have asked them to remove my address from their postal mailing list and they assured me they would but so far nothing and they don't respond to my emails. My next move will be to report them to the ICO. I did this with another mail order company and eventually they stopped. Why do companies make life so difficult for customers!

Ich kaufte fast ausschließlich dort. Ich liebte den femininen Stil, die hochwertigen natürlichen Materialien und die Farbpalette. Der Fokus lag auf Freizeit und Casual mit Stil. Und ich habe die Kataloge sehr gerne angeschaut. Seit einiger Zeit gibt es dort nur noch sehr unfreundlich schauende Models, kein Lächeln oder wenigstens ein freundlicher Gesichtsausdruck sondern teilweise angeekelte Mimik. Ich werfe die Kataloge mittlerweile sofort in den Papierkorb.
Seit Sommer/Herbst 2024 auch keine Farben mehr für mich, alles zu trist und dunkel. Und die Preise gehen jetzt durch die Decke, leider (Pullover für 300 EUR). Ich habe jahrelang nur bei Poetry gekauft, nun habe ich gewechselt bin aber immer noch sehr traurig. Poetry fehlt mir.

My sweater was beautiful, came quickly. Bought two for sizing, my return went through no problems. Was really surprised by the rating, my auntie has been purchasing from them for years and gave me a catalogue. Customer service was polite and speedy, honestly faultless. I have a sweater I've preordered I'll update when that's arrived.

I hardly ever find natural materials. I haven't interest to see whole the brochure. This made me wrote the review. They started to use more sintetic and artificial materials and this is so disappointing. I will find another retailer for wool, alpaca, cashmere...
The last purchases wasn't good. I needed to sew them additionally correcting the model. It was difficult to close the tabs. So I buy from 18 to 22 size. The sizes are not always the same. But the clothes are extremely expensive especially when they are viscose or sintetic or other silly planet 'frendly' materials. I don't find anything planet friendly in the rubbish materials. Hopefully, they would not use recycled bottles for clothes.
In general, I love all my clothes from poetry but the old ones in pure high quality cotton, silk, wool, cashmere...

Ich habe schon mehrfach bei Poetry sehr schöne Sachen gekauft, selten etwas zurückgeschickt und IMMER umgehend bezahlt. Aber momentan ist online bestellen ein echtes Problem. Klick ich „Kauf auf Rechnung“ wird mir mein Geburtstag (trotz richtiger Hinterlegung) nicht akzeptiert. Es geht ausschließlich Paypal oder Kreditkarte. Ich habe es versucht. Der Versand dauert länger und bei Abschicken wurde der Betrag abgebucht. Leider war die Hose zu groß. Ich habe sie umgehend zurückgeschickt und auf die Erstattung gewartet. Nach über einer Woche habe ich angerufen und nachgefragt. Es dauerte dann immer noch ein paar Tage, bis das Geld eingegangen war. Das ist mir eindeutig zu anstrengend. Schade, Kunde verprellt, trotz der schönen Artikel.

Poor fabric, sizing, overpriced. First the fabric. The items I purchased were nothing like described. No softness and rigid fabrics are used. Sizing. Expect short sleeves and either to big or too small. Overpriced. Just about any garment at Walmart is better quality and price than Poetry stuff. Don't fall for the pictures in the catalog. The reality is dismal.

RE57 shirt size 8, beautiful design runs small for chest 36 and sleeves 1 inch too short, for my ht 5.5, 125 lb. Too short has never been the issue, quite the opposite. Will try exchange for 10. UF71 Forest pants also beautiful heavy wt cord (perfect for autumn anywhere and Florida winters) and deep color value, length ankle not cropped for 5’5”, also runs larger/ample stretch than other elastic waist linen pants for 29-30waist. Will exchange size 8 for 6 and try again.

Habe einen Katalog von POETRY bekommen, obwohl ich die Firma nicht kenne und nie dort bestellt habe.
Die Abbestellung des Katalogs ist wiederum gar nicht so einfach. Der Datenschutz wird dort offensichtlich missachtet. Werde niemals da bestellen.

I returned a pair of pants as they did not fit after trying them on for less than 2 minutes. When they received the pants they refused to refund due to the pants being “dirty with black stains all over and no tag included”. They sent them back to me. Upon inspection, the pants are SPOTLESS, no marks whatsoever and the tag was included in the return bag. I called again only for them to change their story. This time they claim it was denied because the pants were covered in pet hair (we have no pets), smelled funny and the tag was included but detached from pants. I didn’t even mention that I paid for expedited shipping only to receive them nearly 3 weeks later

My first purchase from Poetry, 2 fine jersey linen tops, the first drew lots of compliments but holed on second delicate wash along what looks like a very poor/weak 'line' of fabric. Appalled at terrible quality for a top that cost £89! Lo and behold my second top, made from similar fine linen weave has a hole under the armpit on first wear! Avoid at all cost - expensive, exceedingly inferior quality garments.

I have been buying Poetry clothing for years. Clearly I am a very satisfied customer! I really like that they include the actual measurements of garments so it is possible to know before buying about lengths etc.
I am sad not to see the beautiful model who has been part of Poetry for years in the latest catalogue.

I am surprised at the number of negative reviews regarding the quality of the clothes. I have just ordered a linen shirt and a shawl neck blouse which, whilst not cheap, are beautifully made and look stunning on. So much so I have just ordered another blouse.

Thought long & hard about my purchase as items are quite expensive. However I went ahead & bought the shirt & am really delighted with it. Now have one pair of linen trousers & two shirts & couldn't be happier. No problems with delivery .... all well packaged & prompt

Received a gift voucher as a present from a friend. Spent it in the Chelsea store. Three days later I received an email saying that the company had been unable to validate the voucher and I needed to supply details of when and where it had been purchased. I duly contacted my friend and asked for the information. This was quite awkward, given that the voucher had been a present. Only a few hours later and before she had been able to reply, I received a follow-up phone call chasing the info. Clearly there is some sort of systems problem at Poetry that should not be the customer's problem to solve. Why accept the voucher as part payment and then question its validity (which essentially is what was happening here)? Even stranger is the fact that I was given a till receipt in-store for my purchase. Having now supplied the required information I have been offered free next-day delivery as a gesture of goodwill. Given other reviews on here, it is the last thing I'll be looking to use. And as for the clothes - yes, they're ok, but the £129 linen trousers are not discernibly better than a £29 pair I bought elsewhere. Given the prices charged, customer service needs to be immaculate and that goes beyond hovering sales floor staff.

Their clothes are just average in quality, but they are very very overpriced. Also they charge a fee if you return items. Especially since they do not cater to shorter women (petite heights) and if one decides to order pants and skirts one ends up having to return them as they are TOO LONG. They are not understanding either. They do not make any exception and will charge you for the returned items. When I emailed them to suggest catering to petite sizes the woman I was communicating with just never replied. Very rude!! I would never recommend buying from this company.

I ordered a linen jacket. Next delivery promoted in the brochure no chance ! Took 5 days. The linen quality was so poor. I could see through it. It was expensive and of poor quality. So
Disappointed won’t order again.

‘Order up to 8pm for next day delivery’ their brochure states on the opening page. No so I fear. I ordered on 27 April and the order confirmation reads ‘despatched by 14 June’! I called to find out a precise delivery date but their representative merely confirmed despatched by 14th of June. Maybe there is something stated in the small print regarding delivery. However, the brochure is misleading. I won’t be ordering more stuff from them. I need the item ordered by mid May, which is not unreasonable. Why send out a brochure when you can’t deliver the goods In a reasonable time?

Horrible quality. I have ordered poetry for past years and really love the clothes but unfortunately I won’t any more. Every single item I have ordered has small tears and holes all over them. You may not notice at first but take a look. I wrote customer service numerous times with the canned “thank you for reaching out. We value customer feedback”. Guess they will have to value another customers feedback in future. Too expensive for this lack of quality.

Since October I have ordered 5 sweaters. Yes it broke my budget; but I am extremely happy with the purchases. I did have to return one sweater since my daughter did not like the color; but it was handled promptly and efficiently. When I emailed with a question about Holiday purchases it was also answered quickly. The items were shipped to the States and were packed perfectly in a box with tissue so arrived in pristine condition. I love the quality and the softness. My only caveat is I wished they included sale items on the US site.
