This is a scam company - avoid at all costs.

Today I noticed two separate payments of just over £70 each that came out of my account on 3rd and 17th Feb '26. The transactions were showing as international on my bank statement. I reported them to First Direct straight away, who are refunding me in full (following what felt like a bit of an interrogation!). They said it looked like some sort of fortnightly subscription to a pet shop based in Poland!!?? Almost funny, but obviously not really. I assume they've been in touch with the 'retailer' as they've just sent me two emails confirming a refund of 60 EUROS each. I have no idea how they have my email address to send me the refund and have never been on their website, heard of them, or signed up to buy anything. Their website (having just looked) has some 'accept our terms and conditions' button on the front page, before you can get into it (which I obviously didn't click and would advise everyone else to not click!). All looks decidedly dodgy. The fact that they have refunded me after my bank contacted them, suggests to me they are trying to pass themselves off as a genuine company, but are nothing of the sort. Bandits; definitely.

Scam company

Scam company. I received an email suggesting I'd signed up to some recurring pet supply subscription, despite not having done so and not even owning a pet. There was a small charge to my credit card, which I've now had to block with my bank. If you receive any email from this 'company', ensure you check your banking and report fraudulent charges.

⛔️FRAUDULENT COMPANY⛔️

⛔️FRAUDULENT COMPANY⛔️

Avoid at all costs. The trading address for this so called company is as follows.

3 Allendale, DE7 4LE - Ilkeston, Derbyshire, United Kingdom

The only named ‘director’ of this company is Ian Jonathan Richardson and the company appears to have been set up on 31st July 2025 according to Companies House information.

I made an error when attempting to purchase some DIY tools, I didn't realise at the time but several webpages opened and then finally when this process finished, my credit card for charged £14.44 for some pet supply subscription service? I was later provided with a supposed login and password to poochiest.com, which I tried to enter and stop the subscription but the website just crashed immediately.

I contacted the so called company with the email address at the bottom of the login email I received. A few days later I received a reply saying my subscription had been cancelled with immediate effect but would not be entitled to a refund of the money that was basically stolen from me. Interestingly, whoever replied, I can only assume it was Mr Ian Jonathan Richardson (he’s the only person listed on Companies House), quoted a payment of €11.47 had been made and a refund is not valid.

This is all very suspicious and the fact it appears to be a subscription service is even more concerning.

I have reported this to my bank and will hopefully get a refund one way or another but stuff like this needs to stop. This Mr Richardson in Ilkeston, Derbyshire is taking money from innocent people. I have also reported the company to Action Fraud and NCSC.

⛔️update 05/01/26⛔️
After a bit of back n forth via email, I managed to get a refund from this ‘company/person’. Not quite a full refund but near enough. The reason being whatever I was charged came out of my bank in Euros, and was paid back in Euros, so exchange rates made the refund marginally lower.

Interestingly, this same person, Mr Ian Richardson had another apparent fake company last year. THATCH SOLAR LIMITED was created and dissolved over the space of a few months in 2025. This only adds to my belief he is a con artist trying his best to rip innocent people off!!

I hope this information helps anybody who might need it. Thanks.
