Compared to other prior purchases, it left us both feeling very valued & would not hesitate in buying again from JCT600. Huge thanks especially to Chris Archer, but also Matt & Ben. Undisclosed Respray Unprofessional Aftersales.
Hello,
I recently purchased a Porsche from Porsche Newcastle. The initial experience was satisfactory but I discovered the car had been extensively resprayed.
The dealership stated that smart repairs were carried out to meet the stringent 111-point check. However, the car was resprayed not smart repaired.
The dealership was unwilling to acknowledge this discrepancy.
I would advise you to have your future purchase inspected by an independent, approved paint specialist before entering into a deal.

Thank you for raising your concerns regarding the paintwork on your vehicle. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the work carried out and the standards applicable to Porsche Approved Used vehicles.
We understand that terms such as minor scratches, bumper scuffs, small dents, SMART repairs and conventional paint repairs can sometimes cause confusion, so we would like to explain the distinction.
SMART repairs are generally restricted to small, localised areas of cosmetic damage, such as isolated stone chips, minor scratches, bumper scuffs or small dents. However, not all cosmetic damage can be appropriately rectified using a SMART repair.
Where paint imperfections from scratches extend across more than one panel, or where blending is required to achieve a correct and consistent colour match, a conventional paint repair may be necessary. For example, if a scratch approximately 10cm in length extends from a door onto an adjacent wing, both panels may need to be prepared and painted. In some cases, additional adjacent panels may also require paintwork purely for blending and colour matching purposes. This does not mean that those panels were damaged.
Porsche Approved Used standards require vehicles up to two years old to be presented to an exceptionally high exterior condition. Your vehicle is over 5 years old, and these standards have still been met. If a vehicle has scratches, chips, scuffs, or scrapes, these may need to be professionally repaired and painted to meet the required presentation standards. Alternatively, we could leave the vehicle with visible cosmetic damage and present it in an unfinished or poorly prepared condition, which would not meet the standards expected of a Porsche Approved Used vehicle, nor would any customer be willing to buy it.
We have confirmed through independent verification HPI Checks that no structural damage has been reported for this vehicle. Nothing has been hidden or concealed. The repairs were paint repairs intended to rectify scratches, scuffs, scrapes, and other surface damage. We respectfully acknowledge your concern regarding the terminology used.
Our intention has always been to prepare the vehicle to the required Porsche Approved Used standard and to ensure that defects were professionally rectified. We have an obligation to disclose any Structural/Crash damage which again was verified clear by HPI before an Approved Porsche can be made available for sale.

Outstanding Service from Chris Archer and the Team at Porsche Centre Newcastle
I recently purchased a Porsche Panamera 4S Sport Turismo from Porsche Centre Newcastle, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish.
Chris Archer looked after me throughout the process and his service,
professionalism, and attention to detail were outstanding. From our very first conversation, it was clear that Chris and the wider team have a genuine passion for Porsche and a real enthusiasm for cars, which made the whole buying experience even more enjoyable.
A few weeks after collecting the car, there were a couple of minor issues that needed attention. The only reason I mention them is because of how brilliantly they were handled. The customer service, communication, and commitment to resolving everything quickly and professionally were second to none. It's often when things don't go perfectly that you see how good a dealership really is, and Porsche Centre Newcastle exceeded all expectations.
I couldn't recommend Porsche as a brand, JCT600, or Porsche Centre Newcastle highly enough. Fantastic people, a great buying experience, and truly outstanding service. Thank you to Chris and the whole team.

A farcical offer .............
I rang and spoke to a nice guy Alex a couple of days ago regarding a deal on a particular spec brand new factory order electric Macan 4S we wanted and possible cash back on our current stunning fully loaded year old 911 ....... He Emailed us a few hours later offering us a well used Macan without any discount and which was only a dew thousand less than a brand new Macan and a cash back price on our 911 which was around £13,000 less than other Porsche dealers ......... It was quite farcical and i wont be calling them again !! PS can all of their 5 star reviews on this site be genuine ?? MY RESPONSE 17/7/2026 TO PORSCHE NEWCASTLES REPLY ....... So what you are saying is that numerous other more experienced Porsche dealers including your sister JCT dealerships have made huge errors in their valuation of our 911 with similar lower spec cars than our 911 with vastly higher mileages averaging around £25,000 more on Autotrader than you offered for our 20 mile car ? ....... and why did you not offer the new factory Macan which was the crux of our enquiry ? ........ Crazy ! ...... THE LATEST 29/7/2026 and now just a few days after their very poor original offer and saying there was no margin for them to discount their used Macan they have just cut it by £3k on Autotrader ...... i think you really have to keep your eyes peeled when dealing with these guys !!

We completely understand that our valuation wasn't what you had hoped for. However, with the manufacturer support and offers currently available, we are able to supply a brand-new Porsche 911 to the same specification as your vehicle for less than the value suggested, before on-the-road costs. As a result, it wouldn't be commercially viable for us to value a used vehicle above the price at which an equivalent new car can be purchased.

Contacted them on Friday 3 rd of April, enquired about a vehicle that they had for sale . Sent them pictures the next day as requested of my car for a part exchange never heard anything back from them . Three days later I contacted them and asked if they had received the pictures of my car and asked if they could get back to me with a price and finance terms, spoke to the sales representative that I had originally contacted on the Friday .
Said that he was going into a meeting and that he would get back to me . An hour later I get a text saying that the vehicle was sold.
Shocking customer service.

Unfortunately, this means we are unable to hold cars without an agreed commitment in place, as availability can change very quickly. That said, we should always keep customers updated clearly and promptly, and I am sorry that on this occasion you felt this did not happen in the way it should have. Your comments are important and will be taken on board as part of our review of the communication around this enquiry.

Simon and the team have provided a strong and friendly personable service during the process of taking delivery of our car. Delivery timelines were adjusted and Simon spent much time explaining the reasoning for this. Honest, approachable and a credit to the Porsche family.

Great Experience
Popped in to Porsche Newcastle hoping they would help sort out remote access issues a little beyond me. They couldn't have been more helpful, Fraser was helpful and more than patient, there was no need for an appointment, he was happy to sit with me and go through things to get me started and the app connected. Although a small issue Fraser gave it his full attention. All sorted and resolved now. I will be able to happily warm my car on these cold winter mornings!
