Great Instructor! I learned a lot! The room was a little too warm, and it was a massive amount of information, but Dr. Thornley kept it interesting and engaging!

I took the Bootcamp PMP Course. The days were long, and we had a lot of information given to us in 4 days. But the instructor Gary was energetic and passionate about teaching. I definitely learned a lot, and Gary was a great teacher.

Very thorough course with relevant content, upbeat instructor, great time management and helpful mock exam and tests. Felt prepared going into the PMP certification exam and came out with 3 Above Target assessments and a PASS!

Shaheed is a great instructor. Not sure how he did it but he made the lessons very engaging. Also, the materials and advice he gave definitely puts you in the best position to pass the exam in 1 attempt. I did exactly as he said, took the exam and passed. I don’t think it’d have been this easy had I don’t it without this prep course

I recently completed the PMP certification course with Project Management Academy and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The course materials were well-organized, easy to follow and understand, and provided me with all the information and tools I needed to succeed on the exam. The instructor, Michael Giacalone, was knowledgeable and engaging, and was always available to answer any questions I had.

Overpriced and Outdated.

Passed exam: March 23rd
Reason chose PMA: Referral
Requested Refund from PMA in Feb: Denied.

Review of PMA content:
The questions on the PMI* exam vs the PMA practice exams are incongruent, but I passed, so what can I say. (per PMI privacy requirements I'm not permitted to divulge any exam content so can't elaborate here.)

The PMA online platform is outdated and confusing. Videos are old. There is a "new" platform available, but it doesn't work. Delivery of information feels disorganized. I think an overall update and edit would greatly improve the program. (surprising amount of spelling errors.)

The PMI* Practice Exams (x3 for $99) I purchased are a better representation of the actual exam than PMA.

Also used free online exams I found via Google.

Personal Conclusion: In retrospect I would
-Take an inexpensive online course to meet the 35 hour requirements.
-Buy PMI membership to get a discount on the test and free digital download of the PMBOKs 6th and 7th and discount on exam.

No matter which course you take, you have to spend time learning and memorizing the same info as everyone else, so don't overspend on the exam prep course.

UPDATE: Just found out "Joesph Phillips" has an Udemy course for $25 that includes the 35 hours required... if I could go back in time and not waste my money on PMA.

The instructor was very knowledgeable and very accommodating if you needed extra help. He stayed the last day to explain a concept that I had trouble with during class. He was very easy to understand and gave good examples.
The venue was nice, had a coffee shop (although more expensive than Starbuck's, it was convenient). However, the classroom was too close to the rooms and there was a dog barking a majority of the time on the last day.
There was a person that was coughing constantly to the point that it was over the instructor and could not hear him. He had to repeat himself every time she started hacking and coughing. I wish I knew he was repeating himself. It was to the point where she stepped out of the room on a few occasions because her cough was so bad. I do not know how others felt, but it was extremely distracting and took away from the lecture for a few minutes every time she started. I wish the instructor had the authority to dismiss her from the class until she was better.

I opted for the online option and the instructor was very knowledgeable. The virtual interaction was organic and useful, not forced. I felt thoroughly prepared for the exam and had success on the first attempt. Highly recommend.

The Instructor I Had was absolutely incredible. Eager to answer questions as well as the willingness to stay after to ensure the class had the correct material and understanding before taking the exam.

PMA's PMP exam preparation course gave me not only good test preparation but also the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals in the field. The practice exam questions and materials were enormously valuable in building my confidence to take the PMP exam. I was given a reasonable assessment of what to expect and helpful strategies for improving exam performance. Overall, it was a very rewarding experience and I learned not only how to take the test but additionally how to be an effective project manager.

Stephen was a phenomenal instructor and I would happily attend any of his course offerings. PMA provided an ideal curriculum for me to prepare for the PMP Exam. I passed on my first attempt and I wouldn't have been prepared to do that without PMA's structure and Stephen Hoogerwerf's instruction and guidance.

David H Smyth is what made the PMA PMP class a success. He is a teacher, leader and professional in the space, involving the entire class participation along with applying/teaching industry and PMI specific detail/knowledge. His communication and availability pre-during and post class, including continued support is OUTSTANDING!

Lenora Holmsten and the PMA team did an awesome job delivering the content. As someone new to the PM role, it was important for my success that thr information was provided in an easy to understand fashion. Thank you PMA team!

Brent Nair was a great instructor and this course was the final push I needed to sit for and pass the PMP exam on the first attempt!

Recently took the onsite PMP Exam Prep Training course. The class information was great, instructor was first class and met some great people with like-minded interest. 100% recommend.

I thought my experience at PMA was awesome! I was a little worried that the virtual experience would not be as good as live, but my instructor, Michael Toothman, presented a thorough class and I feel that I am set up for success!

Our instructor was amazing. Knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. He was easy to talk to and helped with any questions brought up.

The class itself seems a bit out dated. Most of the material covered wasn’t on the test, but more importantly it didn’t really help with the mindset required to pass.

The class was basically just slides and the instructor reading the slides. There was some questionable content that was challenged by the class, and the instructor needed to review it on their own to determine its validity.

Because of the method of instruction I don’t believe the live class was as worth as maybe just watching prerecorded videos.

I did take the extra day, and this had a different instructor.

I was getting 55%-65% on the 180’s and didn’t feel confident. When reaching out for assistance I was getting conflicting feedback. I did end up getting PMI’s study hall, and was getting 85%_95% on the tests. When I did take my PMP I passed with 3xAT.

I cannot recommend this product, it’s very expensive and it seems to be training on an older version.

Though I am not sure, when asked I was told that the slides and content were provided by PMI and only the first and last part were PMA, the rest mandates by PMI.

Either way, I think you will be better served by reading both the PMBoK v6 and 7, and using PMI study hall.

The instructor was high energy and got us engaged with the materials, guided us through the application process, as well as the course follow up which was a critical success factor. The PMA website was easy to use and contained excellent content for study. I passed the certification!
