Media coverage holds the ability to take a business in front of hundreds of millions of audiences in an incredibly short span of time. But traditional PR agencies are quite expensive and don’t guarantee media coverage. So Mona & Jit, founders of Promotehour, who have been doing startups for a decade, launched a PR service exclusively focused on businesses, big and small.

My company has partnered with Promotehour over past year+ to enhance our visibility in the highly competitive consumer electronics market. Promotehour's expertise and dedication has been phenomenal. The team has demonstrated a deep understanding of our products and market.
Thanks to Promotehour’s proactive efforts and established relationships, they secured us reviews in prestigious outlets such as Forbes, among other recognized media firms. These reviews have significantly boosted our product credibility and customer trust. The coverage has not only elevated our brand presence but also increased our sales and market penetration.
Promotehour is truly committed to its clients' success. If you're looking to take your product to the next level, the services of Promotehour are highly recommended.

Promised us a review. Needed 50% payment upfront, even though their pitch is that we would only pay on success. We paid. Nothing happened. Shame on me.
Jit was responsive for a bit, but has gone missing recently, and we are writing off our 50%.
You should write off these guys too, but do so before giving them any money.

First, read the 5* reviews. You will easily notice they are written in the same style and almost for sure they are fake. Other reviewers already noticed it.
About my experience. They promised me to write a marketing article and have it published in 4 good reliable resources.
The article they have prepared was absolutely illiterate lame bunch of keywords. It was full of mistakes, tautology, and super primitive school level language. I'm not a native speaker and I hoped they had marketing gurus who would write something cool, but they outsourced it to someone who barely spoke English. I had to rewrite everything!
As far as publishing the article. They promised that the campaign (including writing the article) would take 6 weeks, but it took 6 months with no real results. At the beginning they promised that our article would be featured in TechCrunch, TheNextWeb, Daily Mail, Forbes, Entrepreneur, and Fortune (the list is from their email). In fact, all articles have been posted on some crappy websites specifically created for posting paid articles. Some are so bad that links are not even properly highlighted and you cannot find a link to your website in the article you paid for. Interesting that all these websites include fake number of facebook shares and number of views. When you see all that, you feel yourself a scammer too.
Extremely bad experience! Promotehour are scammers.
UPDATE:
March 15, 2023. Nobody contacted me. They keep lying and throwing dust in the eyes. Their "3x growth" was obviously 3x growth of scam.
Dec 31, 2023. Still no news from Promotehour, nobody got in touch. They are surely scammers, never trust anything they say.
Dec 10, 2024. Still nothing. Liars and cons :)

Firstly they don't deliver what they promise and then they don't even refund the deposit we paid as per their money back guarantee. It's been 3 months we have been following up with them for the refund but no response. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, don't waste your time and money here.

I engaged PromoteHour for their services for my app halfchess.com between Oct 21-Jan 22. My takeaway was that for my category (B2C apps), they don't really work.
1. I did not get any bump in downloads from their coverage. There were 4-5 publications, but they did not show up on the analytics dashboard. There was no different in page visits or downloads on days before the coverage and after the coverage. So maybe the articles were published, but never discovered.
2. I also did not get coverage in the publications that actually might have mattered (where my competitor app reallybadchess.com could manage a coverage - like TouchArcade, TechCrunch, The Verge, etc).
If you have a ecom product that you want to sell internationally (say a crowd-funding campaign) or a B2B product, they might still work; but they don't seem to work for B2C products like mine.
Publications I received that did not show up on analytics dashboard (feel free to google below).

Complete waste of money. The only articles they got for me were with sites that I could have made my own submissions like Medium. Also, their writing was absolutely horrible. I had to rewrite everything they sent me. Furthermore, I suspect most of these reviews are fake. There seems to be a pattern. When they get 1 bad review in the next few days they swamp their profile with fake good reviews.
It's clear that the Promotehour team put their heart and soul into coming up with new ideas. They didn't just take the brief but went above and beyond with their research to come up with more information to get the best results.

Don't waste your money: I've used their services for a couple of PR campaigns — sadly, very poor results — ended up being «featured» on various link farms and barely heard of foreign websites irrelevant to my service demographics. Friendly bunch though.
OK let start off with these guys are just trying to make a living. They do provide service. But it's not that high quality.
And I must post about it because I feel many of these trustpilot 5-star reviews are bought and faked.
This is going to be a rather harsh review, I really apologize.
They cold-email hundreds of founders on IndieHackers (which is probably how they found me).
Another review on here said you're basically paying $300 for an email list. Not exactly correct, but it's more or less the same effect. You also get their Press Release writing service and email pitch service, but it's so poor quality and such poor english that you have to write it yourself anyway.
At least 10-20% of the emails they sent out had bounced.
At least 10-20% of the emails were not even to journalists relevant to my product and niche.
You can get it for far cheaper by hiring off Upwork.
I was thinking about leaving 2-star review if these guys were honest, but unfortunately I don't think they are. I changed it to 1-star after reading the other bad reviews on here and also after realizing that I think a lot of the 5-star reviews are faked

Easy to work with, very straightforward, and they delivered on exactly what we needed! Recommended if you need to offload some of the manual searching labor to a team who's done it for you.
Really enjoyed my experience with Promote Hour. They work diligently to get you in publications that you want. They are very transparent with everything they do. Their communication is consistent and their price is very affordable. Will definitely be back the next time I need PR assistance.
Highly recommended. They've been flexible for their service and they did the best for us
Signed up for their standard package but after they have sent out to 300 journalist, we only had one small article written and one journalist who said she will keep in view. Other than that we had nothing worth discussing. They did do their job sending out to the journalists but the response had been poor. The follow up wasn't that great either. Overall it wasn't that worthwhile an expense to pay for to promote your product. Wouldn't recommend.
I am returning client for them, had used them back in 2018 when they were starting out, they had budget plans then and a model where you pay when you get results, we were also in our 3rd year and bootstrapped so decided to go with them well, it turned out as one of my best decisions at that time, as they secured around 7 press coverages for us in some of the known US-media and yes, I am happy to share that one of them was Forbes, we worked with them for around 6 months at that time. So now back in 2020 late July again we decided to do a project with them and yes, they didn't disappoint us this time as well, this time our target was Europe and well they got us some press in one Italian based media outlet, 1 in France, 1 in Dutch Media and around 3 in German Media. We completed our contract with them a week back and I am happy to write this review for them, we will definitely use their service this year as well and well I am happy to be an advocate for their service.
PS - David, Utsab, Amil & Mona are some great people from their team to work with, keep it up, guys!
The 4 stars is because I think this team can do more so will definitely give you the 5 after my next project with you.
They did a great job of getting us written up! Great value for the cost and very professional.
These people Can't even write in English properly. Terrible experience. We asked for a refund, they wasted 1 week of CEO time and we had to demand for a refund 3 times.
