We instructed Sarah-Jane after a terrible experience with Yopa. Initially very good in terms of being very driven and professional. Her sales pitch is to price the property lower and hope to achieve 20-30% higher come sales time. We knew our house was the only one of its type on the market and it was easy enough to see what price was achievable.we felt like Sarah Jane used this sales pitch to price down our property throughout the process. Sarah Jane bought comparables that simply weren’t the same property offering the same layout or room sizes and therefore not true comparables. We paid Sarah Jane a lot of money, it works out 2% plus vat which is twice what any other agent demands in today’s market. Unfortunately we didn’t feel we got the level of service propionate to the cost.

Yes she sold the house, but being constantly told we wouldn’t get a better offer and beating us down got very repetitive. Post sale there was very little sales chasing and we were convinced to use conveyo by her which cost £510 extra. It did nothing to speed up the sale and everything we supplied to conveyo we had to supply to our own solicitor anyway so completely pointless. Conveyo just confused everything and it’s a needless service.

We always felt like Sarah Jane worked for our buyers rather then us which is disappointing, we are the clients and we should have received a gold level standard of service to match. On this occasion we didn’t and it left a sour taste.

In short Sarah Jane didn’t do anything a high street agent couldn’t have done unfortunately. I can say this because for 6 years I was one myself. She is driven and she will sell a house but needs to work on prioritising her vendors and not perspective purchasers.

Sarah Jane was always available to support in a long and painful process that chain of buying and selling properties brings with it. It was lovely to have such a positive and cheerful person in our corner.
