Pyjama Drama was established in 2005 in the UK, and since then, has enjoyed international success. We teach anyone working with children aged 6months to 11 years how to use our drama and play techniques to develop life skills and meet UK curriculum objectives.

We offer a range of solutions for your CPD needs: Online pre-recorded courses, online ‘live’ training, and in-person courses for teams in your setting or at your conference – many of which are award-winning, and all of which regularly receive 5* reviews!
All of our courses and training come with associated resources which mean you will be able to deliver Pyjama Drama activities to the children in your care with skill and confidence. We have trained professionals at all stages of their career – from students at the very start of their journey in education, through to teachers who have been in the industry for decades.
We know practitioners and teachers can sometimes be put off by the idea of “doing drama” because they feel self-conscious. We never make anyone do anything in our training sessions that make them feel embarrassed. Our courses and resources have been developed with the non-drama specialist in mind. We are confident that even if you are naturally reserved, or hated drama at school, you will be able to use our techniques and approaches with confidence and skill. What’s more, practitioners tell us that once they start working in this way, and see the incredible benefits to children, they don’t ever want to stop!

Established in 2005, Pyjama Drama is a drama and imaginative play programme for babies, toddlers, and children up to seven years old taught in nurseries, schools, in 'public' sessions, and at birthday parties by our incredible team of franchisees and teachers.
Since 2009, we have been supporting individuals who want to run their own children’s activity business by training them how to run a Pyjama Drama business. We have trained franchisees from all over the world, from all walks of life, and with varying formal drama and teaching experience. Professional and fun
Rachel and Sarah delivered our training day with a professional and fun approach. Their programme is simple but effective and I have come away with some great tips. I love the fact that we do not need any resources to put this into practise. Looking forward to trying it in the classroom.

i really enjoyed the session

Excellent!
Both trainers were extremely welcoming, engaging and kept the whole crowd interested. They gave us great ideas, examples and made me feel really relaxed in a setting where I wouldn’t usually. Can’t wait to try the activities with the children!

Our favourite toddler group!!
After searching for a class my crazy 3 year old would actually participate in, I stumbled across this! He loved it from the get-go and we've been attending since. This class is brilliant for children who might need a little confidence boost, it really brings them out of their shell. But also for absolute wildlings like mine!

Pyjama drama's "pretend play" was my personal favourite because it develops confidence and communication skills without using any prop/object.

New Franchisee!
At the end of summer, I was looking for jobs that had flexibility to work around my children, great opportunities for progression and that I was truly passionate about, related to my degree in Drama. Sounds like a tall order, doesn’t it? Then, I found Pyjama Drama! It ticked all the boxes. I had a meeting with Sarah and Rachel to learn more about the company. I was impressed with the number of sessions I could offer. Working with nurseries, schools, wrap around care, public classes, interactive performances AND birthday parties for children aged 6 months to 7 years. Sarah and Rachel have been really supportive throughout training and are professional, kind and warm people who I instantly clicked with. The other franchisees are really supportive too. Sinead kindly invited me to watch a session, which was fantastic! It was a joy to watch how engaged and creative the children were. The parent’s face’s lit up watching their children’s brilliant imaginations! I then started my own training; it was easy to fit the well thought out weekly tasks into family life and I soon had a portfolio of Pyjama Drama techniques and skills. The marketing training, financial training, general business and company training were all extremely helpful for a complete newbie. I would listen to the songs with my children and practice my new skills until the time came for training in Welshpool. I had two days at Pyjama Drama HQ to finish my training and deliver the classes to a local nursery. The children clearly love their weekly classes with Sarah and It was fantastic to get in person feedback and bring everything I had learnt together. I am now getting ready to go on my own into Worcestershire. Full of knowledge and excitement, I know Sarah, Rachel and the Pyjama Drama team are a phone call away and ready to support me if I need them. I can’t wait to get started.
