I've had my original account @musicalkitten since 2012, and I've loved every moment of it. But in 2020, someone didn't like something from my account and no it's gone because of "sexual content". There was nothing wrong with my photos and if they didn't like it, they should've just blocked me.

hey quotev! i love your quizzes so much! i have a question by the way, today i made a quiz about "what dere type are you?" i finished making it then i sent it to my friends on discord, when i sent them the quiz they said they can't see it, when i went on settings it said it was for "everyone" everyone can view it but they can't view it why?

Someone said that i harmed them and did other things and i did NOT and i would LOVE to get my account back because they LIED and i would like them to be kicked forever

I loved Q, really. I've met so many people who I've become good friends with and have learned a lot but-
Q is more toxic now. Its different, and def not in a good way
The only good things about it now is that I talk to my friends and help my best friend with his book.
Two weeks ago, I was forced to deactivate all my other accs and hide in one after I was wrongfully labelled a sex offender and paedophile defender, just cause I wanted to muse a character someone hated
They started smearing my name in the mud and turning people against me without even getting a chance to tell my side. I had a fukcing panic attack because of that.
Quotev was once my safe spot, but now, well, its changed.
The admins keep deleting accs that have done nothing wrong, and allowing the bad accs to stay.
Further more, one acc that really needs deleting is .nightlyvibes
That's the bicth that stirred up drama just cause I wanted to muse a character she didn't like, and didn't even give me the chance to tell my side

Okay...so the website wasn’t completely terrible but I do have to say some stuff that I didn’t like.

Yes, I’ve been on Quotev for maybe five weeks until I deleted my account. Why? Well, in my opinion, it was sketchy. Everything was all dark and black that kind of made me feel on the uneasy side. I had a bad feeling about this since the beginning. I don’t know if that can be changed somehow, but for now I say that I don’t like it.

Now, here is the real main reason that I left. Some people there were jerks and cussed A LOT. Not only that, but I see inappropriate quizzes and stories that don’t seem that bad on the cover or name. But people also bullied me for, say, not being part of the LGBQT+ community. I never have said anything against anyone who was, but me just posting that I was straight kind of triggered some of that commotion. I think teenagers should have a little room to speak their mind as long as it sticks to appropriate topics that aren’t offensive.

I have also heard tons of people say that they have been kicked from that site for speaking their mind or doing absolutely nothing. That also makes me even more uneasy because that makes me feel like that website is unsafe. I know what I’m about to say will sound a bit childish but it’s what I think. Those who have been getting kicked for not even saying anything could be a result in the website searching your personal email account other than your age to find things that the website doesn’t like. ALSO I’ve also been told that the website goes off of wifi to see if there has been another account used under that wifi account. That itself sounds unsafe and violates every users privacy.

I also think that 30 days before deleting your account is too long because you might have found something that totally makes you uncomfortable and you want to erase yourself from the website immediately, (like me). It could, by chance, have an option for those who aren’t sure but if people feel violated, then it would be better if it goes away instantly.

To be honest, the only things that are good about this website is that it is mainly being used by teenagers and hardly any adults. And not many people share pictures of themselves (while I do have a friend who has before and hasn’t deleted it).

i got banned for speaking up against a trumpie supporter who was talking a lot of s*it against innocent people and when i reported them they didn’t get banned so i want to fucki*g scream i’m so pissed.

Ok i'm gonna be real here First, every book\quiz you write it doesn't take long. Second, the updates are kinda usless. Lastly most of the people on the website try to be nice but sometimes your going to find some rude comments. Well that's it.

Quotev is unprofessional, so far their "admins" have been banning people who do justice or banning people who didn't do anything. Its bs and I wish it could be shut down, it has been around for 10 years and it's time to go Quotev shut down for the better or actually respond to the people who've you've all wrongly banned.

I've been on Q for three 1/2 years with an account. The moderation is pretty awful. Lately, a lot of people have said very concerning things or racist, homophobic, etc. remarks. A way to get people to recognize this person is doing disgusting things is to make a callout to make it recognized. Instead of the admins deleting the guilty party, they decide to suspend or delete the person making the callout for harassment. This is awful for a couple reasons. One being the person who made the callout did little to nothing wrong, spreading awareness about a toxic or possibly dangerous user. Another reason being if a legal, for example, is knowingly talking to minors in a sexual manner, and the admins choose to delete the person who makes awareness towards the situation, what does that say to impressionable people? Or another example being if somebody is making incredibly racist and sexist comments, and instead if them being deleted, the person who mentioned that they are behaving so disgustingly gets deleted. This tells people that being racist is perfectly fine, and lets people to believe the admins are also racist. I would like to see better moderation over who gets suspended or banned and who doesn't. Making people aware of a situation going on is not harassment, legals messaging minors sexually is harassment. Getting people to report a situation is not hate speech, but blatant racism and using slurs is.

so, for the most part I only read the stories people have wrote and don't know about the toxic users on here so for the most part is a 4 out of 5 for me. The only problem is you need wifi to use quotev and I would really like it if they changed it so you can use it without wifi.

I've been on quotev for almost 5 years now, and I met lots of good people there, but I can't ignore what happened yesterday. There was a racist, homophobic, islamophobic, slut shamer and Trump supporter user, and I couldn't take it any longer, so I made a callout post. First quotev decided to delete that post after a couple of hours, and when I made it again, quotev banned me for "promoting harassment, hatred or harm". I really think quotev admins like their toxic users, since they see fit to ban me instead of those users. User @.exions was constantly reported for a long time, but they are still there, and instead of suspending the one I made a post about, they suspend ME! If I get my account back, I won't ever be serious on that site and won't even block those racist, pedo homophobes, since quotev loves them so much.

My fave site, been on here for almost a year and I love all my new friends I’ve made :) I did get into some q drama and recently got banned for being falsely accused of somthing but that doesn’t stop me from loving the site lolol. Also I live making stories and quizzes :D

I don't like that they ban innocent people, instead of the pedophiles, racists, and jerks that cause a lot of trouble. Me and some friends created a group to get rid of the troublemakers. We're not the ones who are being bullies. They are. And Quotev doesn't do anything about it. I'm sick and tired of it.

I've been using this site since around 2015 and it's been a constant struggle through Quotev banning my accounts for no reason. I don't post activities, I very rarely engage in others aside from liking every now and again. I mainly use it to have a pretty looking profile and keep track of a few things, and well, the whole quiz thing.
Trying to get in touch with anyone is like trying to have a sophisticated conversation with a brick wall that's a sneeze away from collapsing. They will not respond. Ever. Pedophiles get off the hook very easily even through mass flags, mind you open pedophiles that proudly state they're dating a minor on the site, so to see accounts get deleted without warning for no reason is kind of sus. It happens to almost everyone. This has been going on for so long, yet they don't seem to care.

I have been on q for almost a year. This is an okay site to say the best. Sure, you could find some amazing friends, but the cons outweigh the pros.
If you just want to read and write fanfics and meet people who are in your fandom, sure, go ahead it will be fine for you people. But if you actually want to discuss things like political opinions and such, here's what will happen.
Firstly, they delete everyone under 13. And then they track your wifi so that you cannot make a new one. My friend was deleted and another one gave her the account. But that account was banned too. And now the friend who lend her the account has commited suicide because of that. Second, they never delete the people who are actually bad. There has been TONS of callout journals scattered all around q, people report them, yet they never get deleted despite the mounds of evidence. Pedophiles, racists, and homophobes haven't been deleted but the people who reported them were. Third, the updates were terrible. They deleted group search so now there is no way you could connect with other people unless someone puts a link of the group on their page.
Fourth, if you so much as say something a bit offensive AND you still apologised, the people there will STILL report you. Most of the people in fandoms are nice, the others, not so much. They're rude, harrasive, and don't really think about others' feelings at ALL. They will come and harass you and say it's "Educating you" while really they're just calling you a slutbag and stuff like that.
Lastly, the service is TERRIBLE. They don't even reply to you when you file a complaint. I've heard that they also forbid you to call the cops on the admins because of some reason. They are SUPER biased when it comes to right and wrong, like stated earlier.
Would I recommend this site for people who just want to have a good time writing stories, meeting new people, and hanging out in general? Yes. But if you want a completely clean site that is secure and safe for minors, DON'T DO IT!

The administration is so so and doesn't really respond to reports, but the functioning is fairly well made and so long as you keep to basic internet safety you will be absolutely fine.
The way the stories and quizes funtions are super easy to understand and use properly. I am autistic, and it just is super easy to use and it only glitches every blue. The constancy is a comfort for me who struggles with a lack of constants.
