This course has been good and hopefully will help in the near future as I would like to do this as a career, I’d like to say a big thanks to our tutor Al Kane as he’s really made an effort and he is very much appreciated and he never fails to make us feel like we are more than capable of doing any task he sets out for us, he always boosts our confidence and is always looking to help us individually and as a team. If it wasn’t for him I’ll be honest I don’t think I’d be as happy or confident in the work that we do so I’d like to say a big thanks to our tutor for always supporting us and teaching us the course. 👍👍👍 living legend !!

The course was amazing and the tutors were great in their methods of teaching.

This course is superb, a brilliant kick start to a new career, giving you the tools and knowledge you need to embark on your journey into your first job on the railway. The course tutor Al is extremely passionate and knowledgable in equal measures, this shines through in his teaching. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I have started this course on 9th September at Stanmore College and it’s one of best experiences in lifetime. Learning about Tools, Machinery and Safety at work is really Enjoyable also it’s really helpful as well. My Tutor Al Kane, is Expert in Railway and Teaching us very clearly and also teaching in a way that everybody enjoys to learn.

It's been a good experience so far . I've learnt maths and different techniques . My skillset have increased. I've learnt how to work safely, how to use different sets of tools . And the course has been structured well by the tutor Al kane. Brilliant teacher, he's shown me and others different ways of understanding stuff and has gone over subjects that may be our weakest point . Also his delivery and attitude has been fast class and every lesson has been a great learning curve .

I have had a fantastic introduction to learning about the Rails. I have progressed in a major way this past 6 weeks.
The learning is very intense but without doubt very rewarding.
I couldn’t thank my tutor anymore then what he deserves, Jalal Ahmed was a fantastic person to learn from about everything to do with the rails.

Jalal made my experience learning about my new career very easy, although having doubts at first he soon made them go away and made things clear and simple for myself.

Also would like to thanks Claire and Kimberly, for always being there answering any questions I may have about the course or any advice I was seeking.

My experience with Railfutures is extremely positive, I studied for the level 2 rail engineering at COPC-Highbury campus and my trainer was Jalal Ahmed. When I heard it was in a class I was hesitant but Jalal made the course enjoyable and didn’t feel like a chore. He explained everything in detail which made it super easy to understand, Claire Attika & Kimberly sayers was also a huge part of the program, went above and beyond to help us with any enquiry. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get into working on the rail.

Everyone at the city of Portsmouth college was extremely helpful in aiding me with any issues I had on the course. My tutor Jalal was very honest and transparent about the work at hand and wasn't shy about answering any questions any of us had all throughout the course. Sending a big thanks to Claire and Kimberly for all their help behind the scenes. My overall experience was smooth and seamless and I expect to follow on with gainful employment due to the efforts that everyone has made.

I have just completed the course at Highbury campus with Jalal Ahmed, who was hands down the best teacher I've ever had. A good man, good for a chat, good for a laugh and good at his job, the type of teacher that feels like a friend first without losing his student's respect or cutting corners on the course. The course itself was well presented, interesting, quite fun at times and the only real difficulty is remembering the odd specific detail, I'm looking forward to hopefully making a career with it and grateful to have attended.

I come on this Rail futures course which was recommended by a friend of mine, I find it really helpful. In my opinion it could be the best thing I ever done as the Teacher jalal is every helpful and I find it really easy to work with him. The help I got from Highbury college and Rail futures made the process really smooth.

My teacher Jalal Ahmed alongside his colleagues, Claire Attika and Kimberley Sayers were all professional, helped me with any questions and made the whole course extremely smooth. My teacher was never shy to answer questions and he was friendly and easily approachable.

Jalal is the best trainer and tutor in my educational expiernce, beyond supportive and goes far and beyond with making sure we all understand and progress

I wanted a career change a few months back and a mate told me about a course to get me onto the railway so I jumped at the chance and gave it ago, I joined the course which was being done at Highbury college and was being run by a trainer called Jalal Ahmed who was extremely helpful from start to finish on the course and broke everything down and took his time to explain things & went above and beyond to help everyone on the course, answered any questions we had and even stayed late to help us out if we ever needed it.

The course is broken down into practical and written work. My tutor was Jhon staff he explains everything in great detail and makes sure you understand as well, all round great course glad I did it, Leeds college of building played a big part in my journey too

The course was spot on, I did mine at Leeds city college with John staff as my trainer, no complaints at all about the course or trainer both top tier, smoothly run and taught to top quality, infrastructure labour limited as a sponsor whole different sorry not helpful at all never had no shifts and just sent you employers numbers to ring and laughed when I asked about the postage off my sentinel card telling me ‘ ask Royal Mail and laughing’ the training is spot on thou from John never lied once telling you all you need to know about the industry PTS TIC and more 👌 it’s not a easy industry and you need to be willing to put the graft in as John will tell you👍

Had one on the best teachers in the game. Honestly, old school Staffy was a Gee throughout the course! Too much to take in for a few weeks but the tutors passion and dedication made everything flow easy and straightforward. Read read read and listen listen listen that way you will pass pass pass 😉😉

Duh I passed duh

John was an amazing tutor made time and went out of his way in his own time to help those who was struggling etc made the content understandable with good explanations of it I strongly believe I wouldn’t of been anywhere near the pass rate of 100% on my pts and tic with a different tutor his attention to detail and knowledge of the industry is second to none

The rails future course is very in depth and intresting course. The course gives alot of information which can seem daunting. However the lecturer Jalal Ahmed has made this easy to understand and has made this course fun and has kept me intrigued.

Enjoyable and informative course. Went by much faster than I thought it would. Jalal helped us to get through parts we didn't understand and slowed down where necessary. He cut through all the technical jargon and got straight to business. Cheers for a fun and interactive 6 weeks.
