Used to purchase gift cards. 99percent worked. One time had a card invalid had to write to support to get refund. Haven’t been getting replies but got refund.

Unable to withdraw funds

I sold several gift cards and I need to withdraw the balance in my GCX account. I have added my bank account info multiple times over the past few days and the account in not being added. GCX has not been responsive to emails.

There's no explanation, messages, or notification, which makes the situation frustrating and confusing. At my age, I focus on what actually works. I've tried different platforms, and #century 100 is one that has paid me.

Account deactivated, reactivated after TP complaint

I've used this site for years without issues. Then, out of the blue, I can no longer log in. The account is deactivated. No reason given. No email to explain. Customer service is a chatbot that does nothing. GCX stole about $200-$300 worth of cards that I still have in the account, which I can no longer access.

Update 3/18/2026: GCX reached out to me and reactivated the account. Thanks.

Aditional information you may not like

Usually buying or selling with GCX goes OK, but when things go wrong, the go really bad. I had a card Starbucks card refused that was used online in the same area where GCS, then Raise, happens to be.

Twice now I have been debited for selling a card that the buyer used at least partially. According to GCX, they credited the buyer and then charged me for the full value, and now also another $5 penalty. The buyer was either a scam or incompetent, but I am the loser here. Dealing with GCX is not worth the risk. They will not get a third opportunity to screw me again. Today, I got the message that my account has been deactivated, which means I also will not get paid for a different card I sold through them. Good riddens!

You should also know that GCX is not a Better Business Bureau member although they have lots of compaints on that site.

What GCX did not tell you and I did not know at the time in their reply is that GCX credited my account, but also charged my credit card an additional $20.30. This effectively canceled the credit on their site. I will let you judge for yourselves if you think this behavior is the kind you would expect from an honest company. I disputed the charge with Citibank and now GCX is asking me to cancel the dispute before I can withdraw funds from a different sale that was supposed to be available on March 20.

Not Worth the Risk

I almost never leave negative reviews, but this is extremely disappointing.
I bought $500 in gift cards (8 total); two of them totaling $100 did not work at all. I contacted GCX and provided the documentation they requested, including vendor verification that the cards were redeemed by a different user who happened to have my same (common) first name. After many emails back and forth and significant effort on my end, they denied the refund and implied I redeemed the cards. Very frustrating.
I tried resolving this directly and in good faith, but at this point I'm going to dispute GCX's charge on my Visa. I have used Raise (now GCX) for years, but based on this experience, I will never use them again. The discount is simply not worth the risk.

Gift card were used by the time I got around to trying to spend. They only gave a 90-day guarantee and basically said I was SOL. Terrible and no help. Not worth it. Only use #Qu𝘰rent'sevens.

FYI do not use this company

FYI do not use this company. Their CEO and founder went out and got a nice loan to found a crypto to giftcard exchanging system. Needless to say, it isn't going well. While the system is not implemented yet it has obviously effected their main business and customer service. For those of you that feel scammed, myself included, I encourage you to file a complaint with your state attorney generals office. Its usually fairly easy to do online and is more than likely the only way you are going to get resolution.
Edit: reasons I am closing my raise account. 1. No customer support by phone. 2. I get a faster response to complaints on trust pilot 3. Constant blocking of my account for no explainable reason. 4. 5 dollar inactivity fee 5. Your TOS say you offer a convenient service. It is anything but convenient. 6. No where on your site do you recommend using a gift card within 90 days of purchase. 7. I asked for the address for legal correspondence and I haven't received a reply. 8. Your email for legal issues is legal at raise
Com. Your service is so bad I had to waste my time writing this and forwarding it to my Attorney General. 10. You can look up my name for my issues. Don't ask me again. Im done with talking. My State AG will do it for me. Thank you.

Orders are not being processed. No explanation given.

I have been using the website and the app for a couple of years now and everything was working fine up until a few days ago. For some reason my orders are not going through. My payment method is not charged. The order is not processed. The cards I order are never received. There is no explanation. No message displayed on the website, no e-mail, no text message. Nothing. Clicking the chat button does nothing. In the end I have to cancel the order. Will someone from GCX please explain what's going on?

Stole my gift cards

I submitted two gift cards that I had stopped using for various amounts. They finally accepted them after a few days and then a week later told me there was a problem with both and that a customer reported the balance as $0. I had stopped using the cards so that was impossible but I already unlinked them from my app so I couldn’t check but they just took my gift cards and said their was a problem so they didn’t have to pay me.

The GCX platform enforces policies not just for the security of our buyers, but also for our sellers. In the case you do not agree with our refund resolution, we can always initiate another investigation for this ticket at your request. With understanding that you are refuting the buyer's claim, we have proactively submitted a seller dispute claim and attempted to receive more information. The brand was capable of only providing general information due to security policies against 3rd-party platforms, we cannot retrieve info at the account level. If you would like to pursue in finalizing this seller debit dispute, we ask that you provide proof from the brand that the transactions of your gift card were not tied to your merchant account or name. This will be the strongest evidence in enforcing procedure. We do apologize if this limitation has caused frustration but intend to still provide options for resolutions and workarounds.

After ten years, I can say Raise has gone downhill

Update: The card has appeared on my online account but still does not appear in my app. I appreciate their reply below, but their failure to acknowledge that their app is not showing a card I purchased is really frustrating, and I will be keeping the review because it is frightening that they cannot identify this issue in my app (and claim I never emailed them back -- I sent them a screen capture of the issue with my app!)

I've been using Raise for ten years, and unfortunately, they have gone downhill. After spending boatloads of money over the past decade, I encountered a bug in their app. Long story short, I was charged for a gift card I never received. They've now replaced customer service chat with an AI bot, which told me it had opened a ticket. Seven days later, no response, forcing me to file a chargeback (which I won). tl;dr GCX Raise has gotten greedy, reduced its customer service, and instead of fixing problems will wait for a chargeback, ask the customer to remove their chargeback (instead of fixing their problem), and then will lock your account (with dozens of gift cards inside). Yikes. This is a breakup.

This case has been reviewed and was confirmed that all cards in both orders were delivered to the account without error. The four cards were delivered within the guaranteed timeframe and we confirmed that our specialists did respond to both of your tickets. As you stated that you were having issues but no technical error was found on our end, our specialist did reach out communicating on what you should do to make sure that you do not have anything enabled or are utilizing systems that can affect your experience. However, we did not receive a response back. We performed a review on this error with intention of resolution, since this is not deemed a bug and have confirmed internally that your purchases were delivered via exact timestamps, this issue fell outside of our Guarantee. Generally upon receiving any chargeback, we do follow protocol specified in our terms that may involve locking the account for security and risk purposes. You still have the right of access to your purchased cards when locked, we only limit purchase activity. Due to the current pending status of your chargeback, your account will be temporarily locked until a resolution has been met with your bank. The longer a gift card is not used, the higher the risk a gift card may be redeemed not only due to possible exposure, but also the merchant may freeze the balance due to inactivity. Be careful, make sure it's worth the few dollars you will save.

Be careful. Cards which have a pin number are probably safer than ones that don't. I would recommend checking the balance as soon as you get the e-card. Physical cards with the pin# not scratched off are probably the safest. Do not buy ROBLOX cards in large denominations because you don'need a pin# to redeem. In my case I bought a $25 card for my grandson for Christmas on Christmas day. He entered the information on the card and it was invalid. I tried to get a refund but after many emails with customer service they told me they contcted ROBLOX and the card had been redeemed and my money would not be refunded. Good luck if your gift card doesn't work because it's not the same as when it was Raise. It's hard to beleive after being a long time customer they would basically acuse me of trying to scam them out of $21. Not a very reputable company. Be prepared to loose your money if your card doesn't work. Make sure it's worth the few dollars you will save.

After further reviewing this case, we deem the final resolution sufficient due to the information we were able to receive. During our process of investigation, we have also contacted the seller for proof of purchase to determine gift card risk/exposure level. The gift card was purchased directly by the seller from the merchant, and provided to us for sale. We base our decisions specifically on all documented proof provided, both Roblox and the seller's proof upheld strongly. If you are in disagreement with this result, we are still open to initiating another review but this time will require an email from a Roblox specialist confirming no amount was added to that specific account. Otherwise, the information we have already obtained remains factual.

Buyer's Beware. New GCX place is a scam. I had used this site when they Raise and I'm not going to say Raise was without issues. I purchased a Taco Bell gift card that I immediately reported the day after purchasing for being an "invalid card number." Sent the screenshots, gift card information, ect. But ended up taking it as a loss. So, only ripped off once by Raise. Fast forward to this GCX, this site all of a sudden has denied me access to log in to my account, this account has or I guess I will now say HAD 2 or 3 unused gift cards. I know that when I purchased these cards GCX claimed all gift cards came with a 1 year guarantee, but now after reading the most recent reviews on Trust Pilot, I imagine that I have now been ripped off for all the gift cards I previously purchased since it's been well over 90 days since they refuse to allow me to log in to my account. The reason they give is ridiculous, according to GCX they don't recognize my device. Well you people sure recognized it the last few times I was able to log in and purchase the damn gift cards.

Worried about gcx is a scam ....
1) Tried to sign up for a new account. Everything LOOKED like it worked ....
2) purchased a gift card. Transaction seemed to go through.
3) BOOM email saying transaction canceled. Email said "goto this site and click on bottom right gcx for help". That site had no such gcx logo on the bottom right. had to find support some other way. Support email said I needed a photo ID .. which is fine, but, they should have said that at account startup, not lock my account and then ask for photo ID.
4) Website says support available only 9 to 5 mon to fri ... and I'm trying to buy gift card on a Saturday.

They now have my info and credit card, but I can't purchase anything, and I'm worried they are a scam.
