Rana Avis 

Just has the Rana slow cooked brisket Lasagne. It was terrible. How on earth has this earned to Great Taste stamp.
Terrible white sauce, fatty meat, thick pasta sheets and tasteless.
It’s a shame as other Rana products are good.
What a waste of money!!

I tried Rana spicy sausage & mozzarella ravioli - "Italy's favourite fresh pasta". I don't think so. It was ghastly. Bland. Stodgy. An affront to Italian cuisine and, frankly, to offer for sale at all! Even a sprinkling of fresh basil, authentic Italian olive oil and parmigiano reggiano couldn't rescue this travesty. I'm just hoping that the little I did eat it won't make me ill later. Apparently Rana have "relaunched" their products in the UK with new recipes "specifically developed for the UK market". Basically, Rana have downgraded the ingredients for the UK and this is probably also why it says, in bold on the back of the [non-recyclable] packaging, "NOT FOR EU". Well, Rana, I'm hardly surprised. Why would anyone in the EU want this? I don't want it either, and I shall not be buying any more.

If I could leave no star I would. Just had Rana Spaghetti Carbonara for the first time and last time. Bloody awful!!!! Rana, you should be ashamed to call this Italian……even my dog refused it!!

I bought the seafood option at £9 for 2. Was so looking forward to it....in all honesty it was not great and i vomited straight after eating. Tasted very out of a tin.Must be packed with shit. To be fair I am beginning to be sensitive to certain foods in my 50s used to be able to eat anything but now my tummy a bit sensitive. I eat fresh meat fish chicken seafood all the time and no issues. However this range advertised as super good but beware
!

We've just had the Prawn and Lobster lasagne. Delicious, so easy to cook. Served with a crisp side salad. What a lovely dinner! Im going to try other Rana products now

If I could give a no star rating I would, as this was tasteless with hardly any beef. At £9.00 it is expensive and not as good as Waitrose or Sainsbury’s own brand.

The quality was so poor we probably through away half of the amount in the pack.

Avoid buying at all cost!!

Purchased the carbonara and one other. Runny sauce,fatty bacon and generally not enough pasta which had a very strange texture. Followed instructions to the letter. After seeing them on TV we had great expectations, but I wish we'd read the reviews first. Very disappointed as very expensive.

The pasta was thin and tasteless, the minute amount of fatty bacon was not worth using. The so called parmesan cheese was about a quarter of a teaspoon. I didn't taste the sauce. The whole lot went in the bin. As a retired chef I should have made it myself. But I have a broken ankle I got something easy.🤢

It might have been a 3 star casserole had it been served with mashed potato's, it wasn't pulled meat, or a ragu of any description.

Though, if you really, really watch the ad, she drops into an Essex accent in the end, so maybe this is an Essex take on a ragu.

And to get the portions they show its £9 a head, WTF.

Very disappointed. Very little flavour no seasoning hardly any meat and sauce was tasteless. Very overpriced. Will not be buying again.

Really 0 stars disgusting what a waste of money,I don’t usually buy ready meals but thought for quickness to try it.Never had something so awful very stodgy and the meat was not a good quality.DONT waste your money.

The most poor quality and disgusting lasagne we have ever eaten.
Sainsburys should remove it immediately.
Sainsburys taste the difference and charlie Bingham lasagne is far superior.

Bought one of the new beef rage ready meals for one. The beef was tough, rubbery and unpleasantly chewy (if cooking it myself I'd have concluded it underdone and given it longer). The sauce had a stale, 'dead' taste to it, any vegetables in the sauce had no taste whatsoever and the pasta was rolled as thin as they could get away with. Avoid this mangey mush like an elevator filled with flatulence.

We have just had the RANA prawn and lobster lasagne and it was one of the nicest and flavoursome ready meals we have had . We regularly have the Charlie Bingham range which is very authentic and now we have a new range to try from RANA and are looking forward to trying the full range.

Rana Beef lasagne is totally tasteless and dry. I can make a better Lasagne myself. Bought from Sainsbury’s reduced to £7 from £9, an utter waste of money.
I have had their pasta before and it has been ok, but the Lasagne is an utter disaster. I certainly can’t recommend this to anyone. I will not be buying it again.

Seen the advert and thought it looked lovely. In reality it was rubbish and considering how much it cost 🫣 Best thing about it was the cheese garnish 😳 left a review on their website. One question they ask is how could we improve it? I replied “Bit more meat, more flavours, bit cheaper too. Sorry but Asda sell tinned stewed steak. I could’ve bought that, added some tomato and garlic puree and pasta. Would’ve got twice as much for the same price and a lot tastier. Disappointed much 😢 I also bought the beef lasagne, seriously hope it’s far better than the tagliatelle”

I can’t decide if Rana products are deliberately made cheaply and badly to sell to discount outlets cheaply, or they end up in discount outlets because they are made cheaply and badly because of being cheaply and badly made.
Either way any I’ve tried are terrible!
