Great experience…
Great experience using Rapid Response House Clearance Edinburgh. I am in the process of moving and there was a number of items I needed to be rid of quickly. Communication was good all round and was able to upload the pictures on what I needed gone.
The team were kind and considerate from start to finish and was able to work around me and my dogs with no hassle. I did accrue a lot of empty boxes which was always going to be recycled later but later never came. This was also not a problem.
The price was competitive too as I did try another previously who quoted a much higher rate but this was before I learned about persistent organic pollutants (pops) as a thing and legal change.
Would i use the company again or recommend them? Yes, i would.

Unfortunately our prices have went up around 15% since the introduction of the new government rules in March this year regarding the disposal of (POP’S items (Persistent organic pollutants ) which includes all soft furnishings and things like duvets, beds, sofas, cushions etc as we are not allowed to recycle them any more and they just cant be sent to landfill either as they have all been found to contain hazardous fire retardants and chemicals that new evidence shows can leech into the water supply if any end up in landfill so we now have to use special disposal sites to dispose of such items and they are not only more expensive for us but they are our only choice now although despite our rise in costs we still endeavour to offer the fairest rates available in Scotland and as you highlighted the fact the other company you obtained a quote from were much more expensive than ours so that is why we always encourage anyone who requires a house or commercial clearance to definitely request a free, no obligation quote from us to compare with any other quote you have received from any other clearance company in Scotland as we can carry out your clearance with the minimum of stress and we have over 27 years experience.
Thanks again John and I hope your friendly dogs have forgiven us for taking away their dog beds also 😂 and hope you all get to move into your new home asap as we understand it is quite an upheaval when uprooting and moving home 👍🏼

I do not give five star reviews very often - I think stars get bandied about far too much. But John and team absolutely deserve every little twinkle and more! Thanks to John, Kirsty & Chris today for emptying my sister-in-laws flat following her bereavement. There was a lot of stuff!
I was given an appointment within 5 days of making my initial enquiry.
Absolutely nothing was a problem. They even swept out the garden area & common stair afterwards.
It’s great to know that some reusable items will be donated to charity and the rest will be recycled in a controlled manner.

Everything was done very quickly and rooms were left hoovered so no mess to clear up. This was a massive help as removed the emotion of me having to dispose of my grandads furniture. Would def recommend .

Excellent service.
I really can't thank John and Kirsty enough, they worked so hard, and have given me so much of my living space back, and couldn't have been nicer about the situation I had gotten myself in. They never made me feel embarrassed or judged, and were very discrete about what they were doing.
The price was very reasonable for what they had to do, and well worth it for the space they've given back to me. They've given me a giant step forward to getting my life back again.
So an over all great service. I highly recommend these guys, and would definitely use their services again in the future.

I was impressed by Rapid Response from the very beginning in my search to find someone to take away my dilapidated garden shed; John very kindly got back to me within an hour on a Sunday(!) and the communications from there - by both email and text - were exemplary. His professionalism gave me confidence, as this was my first time arranging such a large haul-out, and this would be a messy one: not only the shed but its complete contents in addition to a barrel and composter! After arranging a quotation and settling on a time, John was able to start the very next week at a time which suited me perfectly. He and his partner didn't baulk at my awkward location - on a major roadway with little parking - and got to work straightaway; in little over an hour the entire back yard was cleared and tidied away beautifully. House Clearance
Based upon their aim of not sending items to land fill, I contacted John at the Rapid Response recycling team for a house clearance. They fully lived up to the name. John and his team were quick, efficient and timely throughout the whole process from coming to quote through to the clearance. Afterwards, John let me know what they had given to charity and what is being recycled. I was delighted with the service and would highly recommend.

Its good to know that we won’t have to recycle much from the house clearance just for its materials either as so much of your parents furniture etc
was in perfect condition & will be reused by Furniture Plus mostly, a local charity that sells affordable furniture etc to people on low incomes were delighted with all the stuff we dropped off to them as they were low on stock so that is great for everyone and fantastic for our overall recycle rate as well 👍🏼
