Mein Tipp: Auf gar keinen Fall einen Wagen von rentbycar mieten. Wir haben ganz schlechte Erfahrungen mit dem Unternehmen gemacht.

They charge you 2 times for a full insurance!!

Pessimo, si inventano danni per fare pagare in più alla fine del noleggio. Mai più. Sconsigliato. Macchina che mi è stata consegnata anche sporca all’interno (cotton fioc usato in mezzo ai sedili e polvere ovunque)

Lucrano al momento del ritiro dell’auto. Se non hai accettato di pagare 140 euro per la assicurazione che ti propongono, ti trovano il danno che non esiste per addebitare la tua carta. Da evitare assolutamente

They try to find any invisible scrath to make you pay more. Avoid this company

Rented and paid for a medium SUV, stated to be Hyundai Tucson or the like. Got a cheap Dacia instead, but no discount, even though it cost Hald the Price and is a car I would never rent, it is very bad and discount. Never again, find another rental place.

Unfair rip-off. We returned the vehicle in its original condition, and when we returned the car, a virtually invisible scratch on the lower edge of the front bumper was claimed and charged at 150 euros. I am certain that I did not cause this. It was raining cats and dogs when we rented the car and unfortunately we neglected to use a microscope to check the car for damage... This came back to haunt us when we returned the car, the staff meticulously and painstakingly searched the vehicle for small things and of course found something. I would advise everyone not to use this car hire company.

I LOVE this guys. Faster with the shuttel, new cars and very good price. I gonna come again to Bilbao with this people

It is only my experience , but this company, despite all the bad reviews that I just read, it deserves from me a 4 out of 5 graduation.
I do have no real complaints, and the 1 point I do not give it’s only due to a small misunderstanding when picking up the car. and the fact they did not answer an email inquiry that I did a week after I returned the car.
They have their own way of working and it is a different way than average, all in all I’m satisfied with their service.
And I have to say, I had as well an upgrade offer which I accepted because it wasn't expensive and made my trip even more comfortable.

Una estafa, abusadores.
Rentbycar en Bilbao... 45 minutos revisando el coche, nos encuentran unos supuestos arañazos debajo del paragolpes, arañazos que supuestamente hemos hecho nosotros y que evidentemente no es así, además no pueden demostrar que no estuvieran ahí antes de nosotros recoger el coche. La bromita nos sale en 140 euros!! Ojala os lo gastéis en rodilleras para revisar los bajos de los coches.

Bardzo niska cena 123 zł za wynajem auta na 3 dni była bardzo kusząca. Jednak już przy odbieraniu auta zaczęły się problemy. Nie było możliwości pokrycia kaucji w wysokości 900 € kartą debetową.
Wiem, że istnieje taki zapis w warunkach umowy, jednak jeszcze nigdy nie miałem takich problemów w innych wypożyczalniach, które również mają taki zapis, ale nie wymuszają płatności kartą kredytową jeśli jej się nie posiada.
Z powodu braku karty kredytowej byłem zmuszony do wykupienia dodatkowego ubezpieczenia w wysokości 60 EUR oraz depozytu w kwocie 150 EUR, które już mogły z jakiegoś powodu być opłacone kartą debetową.

Don´t recommend this rental company. We picked up our vehicle at Bilbao Downtown office and agreed in advance to drop it off at Bilbao Airport branch. We booked a small economic car (Fiat 500). When collecting the car, we were offered an upgrade to a Citroen C3 for 15 euros extra, which we declined. Then, the attendant offered a Renault Clio for no extra cost - they obviously didn´t have our Fiat 500 available. So we took the Renault. When returning the car, the inspection took nearly 30 minutes. Thankfully we had paid a premium insurance that reduced the excess to zero, otherwise they would have found something wrong to charge us extra. Even insects marks on the front of the car were inspected!!! Not enough, we were then informed of an extra fee of 36 euros for dropping the car in a different location, even though I paid the booking in advance and it was clear during the booking process that the car would be dropped off in the airport instead of city centre. Every excuse to steal from customers, hidden fees, and not friendly service. Stay away from Rentbycar.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid - as others have said I wish I had read the reviews first. Absolute scam of a company. They look over the returning car forensically to find the minutest scratch in order to charge you - in my case 97 euros for a scratch no bigger than my small fingernail.
Even though I have my own insurance and ultimately do not have to pay out of my own pocket I am incensed that this company can and still operate in such a deceitful way. Heed my advice go elsewhere.

Like so many others the damage scam was worked on us. There can be no justification for charging 200 euros for tiny scratches immediately adjacent to other tiny scratches.
We were more or less made to pay given pressures of having to catch out flight. They have ignored requests to evidence actually repairing the tiny scratches.
Do not use.

Car scheme. The car is handed over to the driver without anyone going to do an inspection as it should be and as the insurance was taken out by another company, on the day the car is returned the company always finds something that is not right. Therefore, there is a huge difference between collecting and delivering the car. This is how the company makes money.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Like many on here they charged me for a scratch on the plastic bumper under the car when I returned it - 86 Euro. This company is a scam, there is a reason they are cheap. You have to be very careful to make a 100% inspection of the vehicle and to take photos of absolutely everywhere on the car - including underneath the protective band in the wheelarches and the bumpers, and it's simply not possible to do this without proper lights. Simply aviod, pay a few euros more with another company and save yourself money, hassle and stress at the end of the rental. Awful company.

Abbiamo noleggiato a febbraio con amici, per 4 giorni ad un buon prezzo. Un po’ di ritardo nel recuperarci in aeroporto, ma poi macchina concordata e in ottime condizioni. Ma alla restituzione abbiamo subito una truffa! Dopo attenta ispezione all’auto, l’addetto (IVAN) ha dichiarato di sentire (solo lui!!) odore di fumo nel veicolo!! Assolutamente.falso è impossibile!!!Nessuno di noi tollera fumo nelle nostre auto, figuriamoci in una noleggiata!
A nulla è valso appellarsi alla collega in ufficio prima, e al customer care dopo:: insindacabile giudizio dell’addetto locale! Probabilmente una truffa orchestrata per recuperare 70 euro dal noleggio! Peccato

The car I was offered for rent was seriously damaged. When I returned it the company objected that there was a minor black spot on the wheel which I needed to pay for. I had no way to challenge it and avoid the penalty despite the fact that the company had no evidence that the black spot was not already there when I rented given the large number of other damages which existed when I took it.
As a customer you have no way to challenge a company like RENTBYCAR when they decide to charge you with an undue penalty. The customer service doesn’t even respond to you

Transport from the airport with no waiting time. Very friendly office staff and cars in very good condition. We took an upgrade for a symbolic price. We will repeat for sure.

Be careful, they are selling you upgrades and obsolete insurances with wrong explanations.
