After my first resume by Resume Goat helped me land a job it was time for a refresh. I reached out and the work began. We had some back and forth communication but the final product is great! So using a baseball analogy, she has been up to bat twice and hit homeruns both times, 2 for 2!
I had a terrible experience with Resume Goat. After paying for the service, communication was almost nonexistent, which made me uncomfortable and led me to request a refund before receiving the drafts. As soon as I initiated the refund, the resume was suddenly sent over—but it was shockingly bad. It was full of spelling errors and formatting issues, making it look far from the top-tier resume I expected for the price. At that level of service, the first draft should at least be grammatically correct and polished.
When I reiterated that I wanted to move forward with the refund, she acknowledged it but then turned around and disputed my dispute, making the whole situation even more frustrating. I’ve never encountered such unprofessional and misleading practices from a resume service. Save your money and go elsewhere—Resume Goat is not worth the hassle.

Beyond delivering your custom résumé, I also created a second alternate version completely free of charge—a $150 value—because I wanted to make sure you had options and felt empowered.
I understand there was a delay in communication due to a personal emergency. I owned that and came back to the project ready to serve you fully. You were still entitled to two full rounds of revisions—including full rewrites or redesigns if needed—but those were never used. Instead, you requested a refund after receiving your documents, and when I explained I could honor either a revision or a refund (not both), the relationship unfortunately unraveled.
It’s deeply discouraging to have my work and intentions misrepresented in this way—especially after trying so hard to do right by you. I’ve helped thousands of clients since 2011, many of whom come back years later to say thank you. That’s what keeps me going.
For transparency: I was able to provide my financial institution with ample documentation clearly showing that services were rendered in full, and that my time and work were taken advantage of. As a small business owner and a single parent, that reality is especially painful.
To anyone reading this: please know that I truly care about your story, your goals, and getting your résumé exactly right. That’s why I include consultations, revisions, and ongoing support. This isn’t just a transaction for me—it’s a calling.
