Absolutely AWFUL company - AVOID!

Absolutely AWFUL company. I made numerous hotel reservations in May 2022. It is now end September 2022 and still no miles have reached my account. I've submitted complain emails 5 times. Each time I'm told the miles will be deposited in 1-2 weeks and that they are working on it. It's now been almost 3 months since I've been emailing to complain and still nothing. Absolute joke of a company with zero credibility when it comes to customer service.

Terrible company, worse customer support

I have the Alaska Mileage Plan credit card, which partners with RocketMiles for hotel bookings. Through two trips, I have been unable to actually use my miles to book a hotel. Their booking page is constantly broken, leading to a "technical error" when I press the payment button. I have tried to clear my cookies, use different payment cards, I've called and begged them to help me book or update their website. They're indifferent, slow, and outright rude, telling me I must be doing something wrong in the booking. I pay a $75 annual fee for my card and the main benefit of it has been unavailable to me. If you're considering this card or this mileage plan, look elsewhere.

Problem free booking in italy

I'm in the UK and had booked an apartment for 5 nights in Venice during August. After reading trust pilot reviews of Rocket miles I got really nervous that I'd turn up and find I had no booking. I contacted the hotel direct who confirmed my booking, the dates and that it had been pre paid, so would recommend doing that if you're concerned. We had a lovely stay, and the 18k of Avios points turned up in my account within a week of arriving home. So my first experience of using rocket miles has been a positive one, I've never even had to contact them.
I wanted to provide a positive review for balance as it looks like that's not been the trend of late.

They told me, I feel your Loss! No accountability.

The response from Rocketmiles/Travel is Unacceptable. They recognize the issue, but refuse to compensate for proven loss. Their statement simply is "We verified your account, and it is now all good; and you should not encounter any issues in future bookings", and their apologies. They can take that whole statement, wad it up in a 20# ream of paper, and swallow it whole! At this point, and without a check or miles for my loss, that is the only thing that would satisfy my sense of fairness and justice!!

IT Disaster. Unable to make System Reservations

On the 17th of August I attempted to make a reservation for several hours at hotels in Miami using my AA account. Due to technical issues on AA, I was unable to do so. This created a huge issue for me as the reservation was to be for a guest of mine.
Because I could not make that reservation through the AA system, I had to make it through Priceline at 9:00PM starting on that day, and it cost me $207.92. I sent Rocket Travel a copy of the receipt and requested a refund for that amount, or a miles credit for roughly that value.

Their response to me was that I was not alone in suffering that experience.....and they would do nothing for me.

In addition to the above and after some research I do want to add my voice to all those others who indicate when ready to make reservations (when the system actually works), experience the error than availability and pricing has changed. This is a significant challenge when time has been invested in the decision making process.

HORRIFIC

HORRIFIC! I made a terrible mistake and booked using my miles and never heard of this company whom I got confirmation of booking from. I have reached out to the resort I booked and no reservation is received and no reply from customer service!!! Miles deducted and paid over $300!!! Please fix your system!!!

Booked a hotel with Emirates Skywards…

Booked a hotel with Emirates Skywards on August 27 and received a confirmation from Emirates of the booking. The reward miles were subtracted from my Emirates Skywards account for "Rocketmiles Hotel Stay". I received no confirmation of the booking from the hotel until I phoned them. The hotel found the booking and sent me a confirmation that shows a balance due for the entire hotel rate. I phoned the hotel again. They said there is nothing they can do about it - this is how it came to them from the aggregator. I'm trying to contact Emirates but their phone disconnects - too busy. This is not how this booking business should work. It seems fraudulent.

Update: I phoned Rocketmiles. They answered the phone quickly and explained the hotel will charge Rocketmiles' credit account for the balance due on the day of my arrival, so that's how it works. I've raised my rating up from one star to three. I still think that the communication gap is a problem.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They used $300 worth of our miles to book a car online, then the rental car company charged an additional $300. The car company had no record that the car was paid for. They will not refund our 25800 points and the car thus cost over $600. This is such an injustice and American Airlines should find someone else.

Hotel didn't recognise booking.

Hotel didn't recognise booking.

My girlfriend had booked a hotel using Rocketmiles as she needed to collect some Avios points. On our first ever booking we went to hotel and the hotel said the booking wasn't in their system. We arrived at the hotel at 3pm for check-in.

We called the Rocketmiles concierge team and it took over an hour to get through to someone. The agent said they would relocate us to another property. After 2 hours we were told to go to another property which was less than 5 minutes a way. The hotel they tried to relocate us to was 5x cheaper than what we had actually paid. We declined and asked them to relocate us again. Finally the agent was able to relocate us back to the original hotel we booked but with a "Upgraded" room. We booked a Standard Double but got a Superior Twin room. My girlfriend and I are sleeping on separate beds when we booked this hotel as a romantic getaway trip.

We actually got to check in around 9.30pm and had 6 1/2 stressful hours of not knowing where we were going to stay. First day of our holiday completely ruined.

I understand overbooking of rooms does happen but the stressful parts were having to call a US number to sort out the issue. Having to be on Hold for over an hour to get through to someone. Relocation time was 2 hours each time and the first relocation was to a property that was 5X cheaper than the property we booked and paid for and although we got an upgrade to a better room we are now sleeping separately on twin beds.

No compensation has been offered by the company.

I have been waiting over a month for the Amazon dollars I earned to post. I have called Rocketmiles several times. - still waiting. If you have to chase them, they shouldn’t be using it as incentive to get you to book through their site.

Tried for the second time to use my AA…

Tried for the second time to use my AA advantage miles to book a hotel and always an error. I tried different dates, hotels, rooms, etc. and nothing. I call and call and call. IT is not in because switching shifts. Was on hold almost 45 minutes and was promised a call back within an hour. Again, nothing. Pure rip off and when I needed it the most. Thanks a lot AA.

Booked/charged in May for a July 3-day…

Booked/charged in May for a July 3-day stay in NYC. Got confirmation from Rocketmiles 24 hours before arrival ‘confirming’ the 3-day stay. Arrive at hotel, they have no record of a confirmation under my name. Call Rocketmiles. Speak to 3 different customer support representatives trying to find alternative hotel. Hold total time/ 2 hours. Nothing. No solution. No room. Sitting in a hotel lobby w my luggage wondering what to do. Card charged $1200 for nothing. Nit using this service again unless I verify w hotel they actually received my reservation.

Rocketmiles, you better figure this out. Not cool at all. 🤮👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

plane was delayed until next day

plane was delayed until next day. member of my work party said i would come next day. when i checked in they cancelled my prepaid 3 day reservation. rocketmiles useless. hotel happy to book me another two nights for full price. i understand i owe them one night but this was just thievery. never again

I booked hotel through Rocket Miles

I booked hotel through Rocket Miles, using AA miles today. My miles were deducted, but reservation was not made. Trying to resolve via phone and emails, hoping my experience does not turn out like others.
UPDATE: 4 days later, still no help. Company took my miles. Did not book hotel. Stinks.

Prepaid Reservation not honored

Used rewards points to book a hotel room. Apparently if you plan on checking in after midnight and you don't call and tell them, they cancel your reservation. So you loose the points and the room, mind you there is no information telling you about notifying hotels prior to arrival. Bored line theft by a corporation... par for the course.

No guarantee from the hotel property that you will get your prepaid room!

I booked a property 3 weeks out only to find out they never received the reservation from Rocketmiles. The hotel will not honor the confirmation as they are now sold out. Rocketmiles will only tell me that I will get another property they choose by 4pm on the day of my reservation. I will never book with this company again - buyer beware!

Bad company, They don’t post my miles till now, I sent many of emails and they don’t solve the issue they said they raised to IT but no action from 4 months ago, Be carful they are playing with you.

Card charged without booking

Like many other customers, I tried to book different hotels, all with the same result, website says something like the hotel availability has changed. With every hotel I tried. However they still charged my card EVERY SINGLE TIME I tried to book despite the booking did not happened.

don't try to book anything

I tried to rent a car through the website, when making the purchase it indicated that the reservation had been made in another location different from the one we had searched for, when contacting the call center they told us that they were only intermediaries of the service and that they couldn't do anything, so I should try to contact the car rental company directly. Never try to make a reservation with these scammers
