Keven the engineer

This is a review for Keven the engineer who installed our boiler today. RST have done other work for us as part of the ECO scheme and I will review them as a company on final completion. Keven was extremely professional. He did an excellent job fitting our boiler. His communication with us was good, he talked us through all the work he was doing and left us clear instructions / guidance on the new system. I would not hesitate to recommend Keven and if you are having a boiler installed by RST strongly recommend you ask for him.

Avoid!!! Read Google reviews first

They gave me a boiler that started leaking in 2 years damaged all my floors. Called them up and everything was everyone else's doing but there's.
I paid £200 for my "FREE" boiler

The boiler should have been covered for 5 years and they know that too because the first time I called them they told me to get in touch with viessmann think it had been covered for 5 years and if like they tell me now my cover was only for 2 years why tell me over the phone that they are trying to sort out my full 5 year cover. they didn't give me the full cover like they where meant to but even that's my problem now...

DON'T EVEN BOTHER WITH THEM FIND A LEGIT COMPANY which they clearly are not

Ask for a business reference number so I could file a complaint with the government grant lot so they could look in to it for me but they wouldn't give me the reference number.. you know something's not right straight away when a company refuse's to give you the reference number so not even sure if the they are a registered business or not

I was sent pictures of emails that where failing to send to me of this number 07517 683968 on what's app but they couldn't give me reference number over what's app I gave them the correct email address too but no sign of the reference number

If you say your going to provide a service then do it right if you can't do it right don't do it at all.... IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THAT

Thank you for your review. We have been liaising with you since the first time you contacted us, we don’t normally discuss matters with our customers on a public forum, however, we feel in this instance we need to provide feedback on the points raised so people reading have a fair viewpoint in this matter.

Boiler Warranty – When we initially quoted you for a replacement boiler, we explained the majority of the cost was covered by the grant, however, you opted to choose the premium boiler model, Viessman Vitodens, which unfortunately could not be covered by the grant and hence why you had to pay the extra money for it. We made it clear before we attended your property, the reason for the extra cost & what the length of the warranty period was (2 years), at no point since then has this been raised as an issue. We tried our upmost to get Viessman to come out but they refused as the warranty had lapsed by a few month’s. We do have boilers that offer 5 years warranty, but this is not what was of interest to you at the time. Customers choose what’s best for them and where we can we oblige.

Our customer service agents advised you we will look into the warranty query on your behalf, upon our query we were informed it was only a 2 year warranty, this is the information we relayed back to you. We have, on record, the information collated by our installation team who dealt with you at the time, we can supply this to you on email as a screenshot to show date and time this note was added.

Leaking Boiler – Unfortunately, boilers can fail which is why they are protected by a minimum warranty period, unfortunately you are out of the manufacturer’s warranty period which is why Viessman have refused to attend to your property. We have been liaising your gas engineer who has been to your property, unfortunately, he has not diagnosed the source of the leak and neither has he fixed this. We don’t understand how we have failed you in our boiler installation service in any way as the leak is from a component within the boiler? He has mentioned the PCB board cover is missing, however, as you made us aware already, you have had 2 service’s carried out on your boiler in the last two years, neither of these engineers mentioned any specific safety defects, the missing PCB Board cover would have been very obvious to see? We could have, if we were informed earlier within the 2 years warranty, advised Viessmann of this issue, however, this cover for the PCB cover is screwed to the PCB board, it has to be manually unscrewed which is not normally done, and not something our engineers would have needed to do to wire up the boiler at the point of installation. We are looking into this for you to see if we can help where Viessman wont. Viessmann did say the PCB board doesn’t have a cover, so not sure what your engineer is referring to here. Maybe he could send us photos of the PCB and we can send to Viessmann Technical for assistance?

Business Reference Number – We are more than happy to provide you with whatever number you require and this has not been refused, however, we don’t quite understand what reference number you are referring to? We are also more than happy to liaise directly with whichever individual you have been speaking to and copy you into all correspondence along the way, so you have full visibility of all communication. Our company has been working in the Grant scheme for over 8 years, simply providing our company name would have shown up on the records. However, please ask & clarify which registration or reference number they require, and we will gladly provide ASAP.

Aftercare – We are very proud of our aftercare service and will assure you we will continue to deal your query until we have a successful resolution. We speak to many customers after the warranty period has finished and there are times when we can help with the relationships we have built with the manufacturers. Unfortunately, with Viessman we stopped using them a while ago and therefore unable to assist with extending your warranty or arranging a free visit. Our service over the last 12 months has been brilliant and we have many customers who have been delighted with our pre & post installation service. Our customer service agents are amazing too and will continue to help as much as possible to resolve issues or find a fair and amicable resolution when out of warranty.

We ask you to continue your communication with us, we appreciate you maybe frustrated but we want to try and help you where we can. The leaking boiler unfortunately is due to a component within the boiler, this has to be fixed privately though as its not related to the installation.

Ryan & Matt Underfloor Insulation

Ryan & Matt attended today to do my underfloor insulation, they were very proactive and professional. They came up against quite a few obstacles but came up with a quick and easy solutions to the issues. Def Recommend both of them :)

Ryan and Matt came to do the under floor installation very friendly, explained every step very well. Also very trustworthy I had to leave to go out n I left them in the house. After they finished they even cleaned up after them
Selfs definitely would recommend. Excellent service and outstanding work. Thank you for a warmer house .

Excellent Service and Workmanship

From the office staff to the engineers and installers, they have all been friendly and very professional. Have provided a great service and their work has been of a high standard. Would thoroughly recommend RST Boilers to anyone looking for an upgrade.

A very clean excellent informative worker.
Keith from ashton-in-makerfield , his work in my opinion is far superior to British gas and would recommend him to anyone

First Class service from RST Boilers

I had my new boiler fitted yesterday by Keith, he was so friendly and extremely professional. Rectified problems that the previous fitter caused when taking out my old boiler and explained why its important to follow the manufacturers guidelines so as to prevent us having any headaches should we need to claim on the warranty. Very impressed and he is a absolute credit to your company. Thank you so so much Keith !

Also thanks to Javid ( electrician) also very professional and friendly he came the day before and fitted the hive. Excellent job and explained everything to me 😂 ( I'm not the best with technology)

RST NO SHOW

Contacted RST 4th August. Was given a survey date of 13th September. Didn't show up! Contacted them, to be told they'll look into it. Not heard anything since. So I've waited 2 months! It's getting colder and my boiler doesn't work properly, the control panel has fell off so we have to manually switch on/off. Poor service indeed

Keith Cunningham the boiler fitter and James Wain the electrician both came to fit my boiler in. They were so polite friendly and very efficient
I fully recommend these guys as got job done and did not leave until everything was explained and understood. Defo use these guys. Well done both credit to the company.

I had a government backed scheme boiler…

I had a government backed scheme boiler recently installed by RST. The surveyors who attended the property to carry out the necessary assessments were always on time and polite, as well as the gas engineer who carried out the installation.
They were all very knowledgeable and able to answer all my queries.
The customer service was excellent.
Very professional company and I would definitely recommend.

Hi I had my boiler fitted and it was…

Hi I had my boiler fitted and it was fine then the next day the boiler was not working as it was saying that there was no pressure in it so I phoned the. Gentlemen that fitted it and he came down straight away and sorted it out,we had a leak under the floorboards upstairs so he was very good and sorted it out just to say that I am very happy for what he as done for us .

Brilliant Job!!

Honestly.. one of the best boiler companies iv ever had pleasure of dealing with! Keith, Ronaldo and James were so polite, friendly and professional.
