The Sakura Knives set is beyond my expectations. The finish is magnificent, the balance is perfect. I enjoy each knife from the set very much. Highly recommended to bring your cooking experience to the next level.

My wife is delighted with the purple handled knife set I bought her. Every knife has seen some use but all are wonderful. She started with the smallest knife and progressed from there. In no time I was carving roast beef with one and was amazed by the precision slices I was getting. She also loves the vegetable knife, perfect for chopping. Best knives we've ever owned in 55 years of marriage.

Very nice product at a very nice price. Heavier and a bit more robust than my Shun. I told a couple other people about these knives and they purchased sets and are very happy with their knives as well.

These knives were made in China. It had to clear customs. I foolishly bought the last 3 sets, 15 days later there's another last 3 sets! The whole story website and claims is a scam!

I like collecting knives and this chef knife is one of the best. Symmetry is a big deal for me.

The knives use Chinese steel and imported from Asia--most likely China. It is in the style of a Japanese knife The damascening is fake--a laser is used to make the steel look like it layered but it is not.
Balance/feel not as nice as higher end Japanese knives. I have a Shun bread knife and it is vastly superior in cutting to the Sukura bread knives.

Other reviewer reported site AI Generated. The response when I questioned them why is a USA made knife going thru customs was be patient it will arrive etc.
Save your money, better knifes are available at the same price

These people totally scammed my dad. Im pretty sickened by it. The hoax about a guy closing down his shop is total BS, and is emotionally manipulative to those who dont know better. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS.

I found the ordering process quite easy. Out going shipping was prompt. The time it took between leaving Sakura Knives and arriving in the USA was confusing.
The knives have met all my expectations. They are within reach from anywhere in my kitchen!

These knives ship from SHENZHEN, China. Ask yourself, if these Japanese Knives are hand-made in the USA why are they shipping from China?

If you fall for this like I did, the tracking site they want you to use doesn't show you any detailed shipping information, only that it shipped.
The timer for the sale ran out yesterday and reset. I'm assuming it has done that several times to make you purchase their knives without doing proper investigation.
I've contacted them requesting a full refund and they did respond with the following:
"I completely understand your concern, and I’d like to look into this properly for you. Could you please tell me where you saw that the package was shipping from China? If it was shown on a tracking website or in a tracking update, please send me a screenshot or the link you were looking at."
I sent them the information they requested but you only have 24 hours to do a refund. Otherwise, you have to do a Return which takes longer.

I found out the website (Sakura Knives) is AI generated by a company in Hong Kong called Re:amaze - A GoDaddy brand.

Wanted a good quality kitchen knife and since this was a good price I purchased one. This knife feels good in the hand and cuts like butter. Just a shame that Sakura is going out of business.

I just like the feel of the knives, but now I'm wishing I had selected one of the bright colors:-)
