Impossible to get hold of customer service.

I ordered a Large bag as a Christmas present, and wanted to exchange it for the Medium size. Should be easy. However, when I go to request an exchange, it says there is nothing available to exchange (despite all bags being in stock, as per their website). Instead, they want me to return the bag, incurring a shipping fee, whereas no shipping fee would be charged for an exchange. Seems like a way to get more money out of people to me.

Emailed customer service 3 times with no response, to request an exchange. Tried to use their website chat, however it is always offline. Reached out via Instagram and Facebook. No response.

Utterly rubbish. And just to add, as many others have mentioned, the bag itself is not anywhere near the quality I would expect for the price. It's pretty basic.

Sandquist talk warmly about the “great respect for nature” bla bla, and then you find out their bags are made in India 😂

I returned a leather backpack which was…

I returned a leather backpack which was delivered wrinkled and did not receive a refund. The company stated that they were conducting a quality control check for 14 business days. However, despite more than a month having passed, they have not responded to my emails or processed the refund.

We answer all emails that we get, mostly within 24 hours so I'm surprised that you have not gotten an answer. What email address did you send your message to?

nice backpacks, horrible customer service

I bought a forest hike backpack at full price(200£) and really liked it, the day after arrival it was 40% off, so I’ve contacted the customer service for a partial refund or a store credit since I didn’t want to go through the hassle of sending it back and ordering another one.
They didn’t offer anything as it was in a different color, and only after I complained they offered me a 15%(!!) discount which is what they offer in extra credit for any returns anyway. They clearly don’t care about customer satisfaction and from what I read from the other reviews, I am not looking forward at the return/refund process.

Dreadful customer service and cheap products that break quickly!

I have been trying to contact their customer services team for over a month now, after my expensive (yet cheaply made it would turn out) leather handbag broke after minimal use. I’ve been promised a refund and a returns label, which they’ve still not sent after several further emails and another contact form being submitted! Even if I do get a returns label now, I’ll be worried to send it, after another reviewer on here didn’t get their money back and lost their item!

As others have said, DO NOT FALL FOR THE BRANDING! This is cheap tat being passed off as a premium product. Wish I’d have read these reviews before I shopped directly with them. AVOID!

Asked for proof of return. I supplied it with the tracking details. Silence. No refund over a month after returning it. Is it theft when companies take your money without a product or service in return? Ongoing battle

Dålig kvalité till högt pris

En dyr ryggsäck där dragkedjan går sönder inom ett år och nu efter ytterligare ett par år har axelremmen släppt i sömmen och flera nylonremmarna gått av/ på väg att gå av. Jag har inte haft någon annan ryggsäck av annat märke där detta hänt. Reklamerade varan men fick till svar att jag kan lämna in den och få den lagad men betala själv. Kan tycka att företaget borde laga produkter gratis om det uppenbart är dåligt materiel. De har bara ett års garanti på sina saker och det säger ju det mesta, en ryggsäck bör hålla längre än så. Hade kanske valt det om produkten höll hög kvalité. Köpte märket för jag tänkte gynna ett svenskt företag med hållbarhetsprofil. Men tycker inte de möter upp mina förväntningar tyvärr.

Don’t last

I’ve had the bag for less than a year, and considering its price compared to other bags the quality has not lasted. The main issues:
- scratches very easily
- splits
- strap size doesn’t stay the same
- peeling on straps

Unbelievably poor quality. Don’t do it.

I had had two bags from Sandqvist having fallen for their website, branding and overall design. The issue is the products are very low quality. The first bag I bought (messenger) had two strap replacements because you would have the bag on your shoulder just for it to fall off. Got a new strap and after 6 months things just a started to fall off.

So, once again after falling for their branding I bought a backpack. Over the space of about 8 months things started to fall off and look tatty. Then the exact same issue, walking along and the strap just broke. Customer service is non existent so my advice is don’t fall for the design and branding. The products are absolute garbage.

Sandqvist Tony vegan backpack

Bought my Tony vegan 3 years ago and used it daily since. Very durable, no problems with zippers, straps or handles, clean simple and functional design, quality material, lightweight, great for summer days because it's made of cotton and fairly waterproof (you're not supposed to dance in the rain with it!). Didn't expect to be stainless, or highly ergonomic in design, just wanted an everyday urban backpack instead of heavy shoulder bags..therefore, I'm very satisfied with my choice. Recently ordered Alfred model too. Overall, it's a great choice if you're looking for urban backpack!

Good material, but it hurts the back

Love their design though it is very expensive. Ordered from their website and received in 1 week.

However, it hurts my back. The straps move easily and caused imbalance for the bag, in turn make the body wrongly use the muscle.

Design is cool, but as a backpack user, this is the worst backpack I have used. The back of the backpack also doesn’t stick to the back. Their website doesn’t allow to create account during purchase, and unable to leave a review there. Really a waste of money for such expensive bag.

I've had my backpack for over 4 years…

I've had my backpack for over 4 years now and it hasn't failed yet (and I'm constantly grabbing it by the zipper to zip it when I'm in a rush, so the full weight of the bag is on the zipper). I will say that, for the price, I wish there was more padding in the straps, it's not super comfortable to carry. Also wish the fabric were a little more stain resistant, but I shouldn't have bought a light colour I suppose. But overall the quality is good.

Backpack bought in 2013 is still alive…

Backpack bought in 2013 is still alive and well, amazing quality. I have bought a Lars-Göran backpack for €200 almost 10 years ago and I've been using it 5 days a week every week. It went through everything with me and it's still here.

A few years ago, the leather handle on the top of the backpack started tearing and the laptop pocket inside got a bit torn. I asked Sandqvist about the best place to fix their backpack, and instead they sent me a shipping sticker. I then sent the backpack to Stockholm and the minor fixes were done free of charge.

Sandqvist has great customer service and great products! I don't see why so many reviews here are negative.
