Tax Fraud
I never write reviews, but for this situation I feel it's more than warranted. I have been filing my own taxes for 10 years and have taken the fees out of my return every year with no issue. I submitted my taxes to the IRS in January 2024, it was accepted early February, and direct deposited February 14th. For whatever reason SBTPG miscoded the direct deposit which caused it to be rejected by my bank and instead of processing a paper check had the funds" sent back to the IRS" February 23rd. It is now August and I have yet to receive a paper check, any answer as to why or what happened, and no resolution after the 100+ calls and emails I have sent to both the IRS and SBTPG. This by far has been the WORST situation I have ever been involved in with any company, institution, or entity as it has put my family in a horrendous situation. I was laid off in October and have been unable to find employment, forced to move cities, and still fighting to get my money. Both the IRS and SBTPG are at fault and if I had the means to I would sue.

I have used turbo text for the last ten years. I have never had a problem but this year.I updated my banking information and mailing address.Because I had had fraud on my account. I filed my return electronically and I elected to have the fees taken out of my irs return. Unknowingly using s b t p g. Somehow or another even though I updated on into it all of my old information went on my return so.SBT PG sent my return into the wrong bank and account.Then they mailed the check to a convenience store Even though the Irs and turbotext had the proper information on where to send it. I did my taxes at the beginning of February. It is now the end of May.I still have not received my refund. Santa barbara tax product group has stolen my return.

Terrible company siphoning off taxpayers money for undiclosed fees. Do not use "E-file" because they are in bed with them. Charge a fee of $40 for nothing after preparing my own taxes, I never heard of them untill they stole from me, but alas, fool me once....

Company over charges
Company over charges. I was charged over 1k for a basic file they were not up front about the fees they filed incorrectly and I have not recieved my money and they have my personal information

Worst company ever … I’ve tried to get thru to them and it’s impossible …. They hold on to your money ( tax money) for interest …. I talk to a rep at the IRS and they stated they release the money right away …

They just take whatever money they want a lie and say they sent it back to the IRS even tho it still says pending. Do not pay for fees out of your refund. This company is a joke.

This bank has admitted to several people that funds were received on friday 2/16/2024 but refuses to release my funds , also charging me twice for the same bank fees.

I did my taxes with Turbo Tax. They use this awful company to process my refund. Instead of the $800 + I was supposed to be refunded, I only had $35 as a refund posted to my bank account. I had agreed to have my state tax that I owed, paid with my refund which meant I would have had about $650 deposited to my bank account. Santa Barbara Tax Product Group kept my money. I was livid. I'm done with TurboTax too now. I'm tired, as a citizen who does what she's supposed to do and then get taken advantage of!
Absolutely a nightmare
Absolutely a nightmare. They hold your money hostage they won’t return calls or emails. They’ve had my 2021 return since Oct 2021 they charge your for it returning to them when they purposely but the wrong account # so that it automatically returns to them then they tell you you will receive a check on 7-10 days but never comes then the charge you $30 more dollars to resend but first you have to wait for them to issue you a surety bond that has to be notarized and sent back off course you pay for it just to be told it wasn’t received. After you get tired of repeating this cycle and request your money to be returned they tell you 9-12 weeks and the Irs didn’t get mine until May 9 2023. Then it got frozen by the Irs because they had taken so much of my traces they thought it was fraud so the Irs froze my funds. Don’t ever use them you will regret it! I still haven’t received my money.
Worst Company Ever
They hold your refund without notifying you, they take their fees out and then say it has to be sent back to the IRS and refuse to issue you your already approved by the IRS refund. The IRS has no knowledge of this information and have already processed and approved your refund before sending it by direct deposit. They never answer the customer service number and they do not give out legitimate information. I wouldn't even give this company 1 star!
No live support to report FRAUD!
I received a fraudulent check from a Santa Barbra CTG account and there's no way to speak with a live person or report fraud if you don't have an existing tax account with them.

A legal scam
A legal scam, idk how they get away with this. I did everything right. Turbo tax says all paperwork is correct and tpg says turbo tax did it wrng even after I CO browsed to confirm with turbo tax. Tpg sent my refund to a green dot card I have no affiliation with and is now saying I have to do footwork and reach out to green dot for fraud even though customer service eventually admitted it was their mistake. Fixed nothing said I have to call green dot to figure it out

Scammed out of my Tax Refund
My 2021 taxes were filed in 1/31/22. It was sent to an old bank account and returned to Tax Products Group. I've been calling them, everyday, and have been lied to, mislead etc.
They said that they sent my refund to my old address. I've put a hold on my mail from thar address and when I go to that Post Office, I do have mail...but not my refund check.
I was told by Victor, Supervisor, on April 6th, that a check would be cut and sent out that week, however when I called today, I was told by Customer Service Rep, Danielle. That a check was mailed to me on 4/7. I am stressed out over this. They had me complete an Indemnity form, paid the fee to have it Notarized, that allowed them to send another check. That never happened. After reading the reviews on this company, I've discovered that, this is their practice. Many people are complaining that they have never received there refunds. You sit on hold for hours, only to be told that there is noone there to help you.
The company doesn't even have an address. When I Googled them, it just says, San Diego, for their address.
They took out over $100.00 for processing fees, but I still have not received my refund
I was given a Ticket# and was told that, i would receive a Tracking # for the check would be sent via Certified Mail, because the 1st check was lost and I could use the Tracking# to see where the check is
Again, I have been totally stressed out over this and do not know what to do, to get my money from this Scamming company...
Next step, sue them for my refund, stress and all out of pocket costs
