SciTube Avis 

My experience with SciTube has been absolutely fantastic! Luke reached out to me after discovering our paper, and I truly appreciated the time he took to introduce me to SciPod's diverse and incredibly engaging communication platforms. From there, Nelly and her team guided me through every step with outstanding clarity, promptness, and professionalism. I cannot recommend SciTube enough—any research group looking to amplify the reach and impact of their work would be lucky to work with such a dedicated and innovative team!

SciTube contacted me about doing one of their animations on an aspect of my research. I was a bit skeptical at first that an interesting animation could be made on the topic of Statistical Evidence and also accomplish conveying my main message in a clear way. My approach to this topic is somewhat different than that typically taken, so this added some complexity to the task. The personnel at SciTube accomplished this admirably and with very little input from me beyond pointing to two relevant papers. The animations also look great. My purpose in doing the video was to communicate with people in other disciplines that are users of statistical methodology, are aware of the importance of the concept of statistical evidence and that it needs to be measured appropriately. I feel that SciTube did a great job and that the video will be of great assistance in accomplishing my goal.

As an independent scholar, my experience with SciTube was amazing. Luke who introduced me to what they offer and Nelly who guided me through the process were very clear and helpful. I truly appreciate what they were able to accomplish.

Everyone has been fabulous to work with. The process was easy and now my research is in an easier to understand format for every day people! I am excited to reach the masses!

I was pleased with the process and end-result. The communication was explicit and clear and, perhaps even more crucial, I felt heard. To me this whole process was also a learning experience to get my work out there in an alternative format.

Overall, I’m very happy with the service I received. The team delivered quickly and kept me informed throughout the process. They were also very responsive to any changes I requested to the script. I will definitely be using SciTube again.

The end result was OK, but it took quite a lot of back and forth to get them to fix recurring errors. SciTube initially made public the wrong version of the video--a version I had explicitly rejected. They also provided to YouTube the wrong version of the narration text, so I had to follow up several times to get them to fix these errors. I had already shared the public video with my social network before I realized they had posted the wrong video. After all that, they repeatedly attempted to downplay their failures, saying that the video hadn't been disseminated yet (which it had, since they had given me the link and I shared it, trusting that what they had posted was what I had signed off on and not a rejected version.) They tried to shrug off their unprofessional errors as 'hiccups'. While they claimed they were doing extra marketing to make up for the errors, they would not offer their minimal 'bonus' marketing package that I repeatedly requested as compensation. One staff member even tried to blame YouTube for 'automatic extraction of captions' when in fact it was SciTube who gave them the wrong text for extracting captions. I will not use them again. [Note: I had originally given them 2 stars, but after seeing that this site artificially inflates ratings, I had to reduce it to one star.]
