Two sample rounds. Zero usable products.

I came to Seam Apparel with a detailed order summary including fabric composition, GSM range, print method, measurements, and reference images. Everything was documented and agreed upon before production started.

The first sample arrived with the wrong fabric entirely. They corrected it at no cost, fine. But first blaming me for the mistake. The second sample arrived with a heat-transferred logo when the spec clearly called for screen print / high-density print. Multiple order summaries were wrong, endless emails were sent and I felt like I was going in circles. When I called out the wrong logo, they claimed it was high-density print and that the sample was produced "in accordance with the agreed specifications." It was not.

When I asked for the actual GSM of the fabric, I got "we used a heavy GSM as requested" instead of a number. When I pushed harder, I was told hitting the GSM we already agreed on would require a price increase.

89 emails later, I requested a refund and walked away.

The core issue is not that mistakes happen. Mistakes happen everywhere. The issue is that when mistakes were pointed out, they were reframed as my preferences rather than their errors. That's a trust problem, and trust is the one thing you need when you're about to place a bulk order.

If you're a small brand like me looking for a manufacturing partner, don't waste your time.

Contacted this company in December of 2024 about custom sports bras, Cody was my contact person throughout the process. They knew what we wanted and failed to deliver upon request. They went from constantly contacting me like a bill collector, charged me $200 for a mockup design and $400 for a sample mockup. Once they received the money for a sample it seem to take over a month and no updates until we had to reach out to them for an update. When I finally received the mockup sample it looked nothing like what I wanted, thin fabric and the cut up design and straps were horrible it looked like they sent the design to China and paid them a little to nothing and once they got it back from China mailed me the bra. Once the bra arrived it was in a handwritten shipment (unprofessional) and a terrible seam apparel bag that looked like it was balled up and they just threw the ugly bra in there. Once I told them the bra is nothing how I wanted and it looked like a cheap bra from China they just put my logo on I was asked for another $400 for a new mockup sample, I fired them immediately. Why do I need to pay you for a crappy job just for them to send another crappy job, this business is scamming people and need to be looked into. Do not waste your time or money please research and find a better company if you want quality.

They are not a legit US based company. They will take your money and not deliver. You will not be able to get in touch with anyone once they owe you or haven't sent your order. It happened to me and several others. I'm fighting back and taking them to court in CA where they have a PO Box.

DO NOT WORK WITH THEM! They will break your contract and try to squeeze money out of you every chance they get.

The swimsuit company I work with contracted with Seam to make 600 suits. They dragged production out far beyond the agreed upon delivery date, and then tried to extort us for over a thousand dollars extra before shipping them (Shipping was specifically covered under the original amount as of the contract).

After demanding they ship them with no extra charge and finally acquiring the swimsuits, we discover that 150 of them, (1/4 of the total order) were printed completely upside down. The pattern was a bunch of hearts, so it was an OBVIOUS mistake. We asked for a replacement shipment of correctly printed suits, to which they demanded EVEN MORE money, which obviously we weren't going to pay.

After several months of back and forth and empty promises from customer support, we still had no swimsuits, and we filed an arbitration claim. Seam ignored this claim and all further communication for several more months, costing us even more money and putting us even further behind. Finally after submitting a BBB complaint, they reached out to us promising to make good on the swimsuits and acting as if they were unaware of how we were being treated.

But again this was a lie. EVEN MORE months have passed and they never shipped the swimsuits, refunded us, or made good on our arbitration costs. This has been dragged out for over two years now, and I'm convinced this company has given up and resorted to scamming what few customers they have left as their business dries up.

Don't make yourself their next victim.
