Securitas has vastly improved its service since I wrote my angry last review. I have been able to speak to a very competent young woman called Sophie. She arranged for an engineer to visit my home and check the fire alarm system. This was done last week. So while I don't withdraw what I wrote some time ago, I am relieved that Securitas has pulled things together and focussed on the needs of its clients.

Zero stars. We used CIA who were fine but since Securitas have taken over the company appear to have fallen apart. I have wished to cancel my contract 4 months ago to no avail. Impossible communication on every level. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They also have staff who are robotic and detached and can’t spell for the life of them! Sounds snitchy, but seriously it’s DIABOLICAL!

We reported an urgent issue with our CCTV system on Thursday, yet a technician only attended on Tuesday, which is unacceptable for a security-related problem.
During the visit, we were told that the DVR and two cameras needed to be replaced and that a report would be shared. No report or follow-up was ever provided, and the system remains non-operational.
To make matters worse, despite the issue not being caused by us, we were later sent a quotation of £2,341.98 for the replacement of the DVR and cameras. This came without any written explanation, fault report, or justification. Frankly, this feels unbelievable.
The lack of urgency, transparency, and accountability from a company operating in the security sector is deeply concerning. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend Securitas.

I cannot get hold of office at all. Phones never answered , Multiple emails ignored, just threatening rude letter for services that have never worked . Don’t know who to report them to . Management are a disgrace . I feel sorry for the field technicians. One star is one too many. Beware !
After being walked off site, I requested my official letter of separation. Instead, I was sent a completely false letter claiming I “verbally resigned” — which I absolutely did not. I had no reason or intention to resign, and their claim is a lie. If you work for this company, document EVERYTHING — because when the truth doesn’t suit them or you attempt to hold them accountable to their own policies, they will twist it and make it seem like you abandoned your post. Extremely dishonest and unprofessional behavior from leadership. Securitas talks about values like integrity and professionalism, but what I experienced was the opposite. Leadership protects each other, ignores complaints, and retaliates against those who speak up. I stood up for fairness and policy—and was pushed out for it. Many officers have left due to bullying and toxic management. If you're looking for a place that truly supports its people, be cautious. I’ve had countless officers come to me with concerns, seeking guidance, and I did everything I could to support them, but it’s hard to make progress in a system that’s designed to protect the top and discard those who challenge it. I’m sharing this not out of anger, but because I believe others deserve to know the truth. If you’re considering working for Securitas, or hiring them, I encourage you to ask hard questions about accountability, transparency, and how they treat their own people behind closed doors. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I became a target for simply trying to do what was right. I documented policy violations, raised legitimate concerns, and tried to hold leadership accountable through the proper channels. In return, I experienced retaliation, was scrutinized far more than others, and was eventually walked off site to prevent me from revealing the truth. Dave Trigo, Nick Rolfe, Daphne Hoffpauir, Elaine Montoya, Rochelle Tinagero, Mark Karmia, Securitas.... Do better.
My box was installed 38 years ago by CIA, I was informed that it would need updating as soon as my landline went from analogue to Digital. My box is now defunct as I am now BT digital, I am currently paying monthly towards my 2 six monthly maintenance visits and monitoring. Basically I am paying for a service which Securitas cannot provide, because my box is too old/obsolete and despite paying for monitoring , Securitas would not know that if I had a break-in. Despite my protests they insist on charging me for another 3 months, they call it a Cancellation Notice. My opinion would be RIP-OFF MERCHANTS, my advice is to avoid this company Securitas like the dubonic plague.
We wanted an alarm system upgrade but I couldn't get a quote despite contacting them three times. Our alarm had been installed by CIA who were good but they were taken over by Securitas recently then it all went down hill. We've changed to another supplier
No customer service whatsoever.
In February I learned that I am now a customer of Securitas and wanted to cancel my contract that ended 31/12/24. Since then I have spoken to accounts once, only to be told incorrectly that I needed to give 3 months notice of cancellation. Since then I have tried option 1 on their phone line (unable to help), completed two of their forms, from the first (17/3) I received a phone call on 18/3 telling me that the matter would be investigated that that I would receive a call the following day - nothing. My second went into a black hole as have the numerous emails. Today I tried to call accounts again, two twenty minute waits and then cut off. I had the option of leaving my name and number, I didn’t because it would also probably have vanished into the ether. My only communication from them is a regular invoice. I’m at my wits end, I’ve said I’m happy to pay for my usage so far but I want absolutely nothing to do with this shambolic company. I’m 78years old, wish to move to somewhere smaller and have come to the conclusion that my only solution to this problem will be to pay the annual fee and get another company to disconnect me.
Terrible service. AVOID! Took over servicing of my alarm from CIA. They have not responded to emails for months and have not carried out the service for nearly 2 years. I’ve stopped paying the service contract as they have failed to provide the service. Guess what now they are chasing me for payment! Do not use this firm.

Securitas are impossible to contact. Trying to arrange a call out is a nightmare. AVOID.
Appalling service - literally could not get through to anyone for several days to get a problem with our alarm seen to, and then eventually someone came for 20 minutes followed by a bill for £288!!!! the so called service manager made a load of excuses when he finally got in touch about 3 weeks after i contacted him. needless to say we are changing companies
Absolutely disgusting customer service. They scare you into having the system with threats of squatters in Spain. They pressure you to have the system asap ‘but don’t worry you won’t pay anything until September’. It’s all lies. Then when you say the sales person said such and such, they say they don’t deal with the sales person and if you don’t pay for the extra month, they will remove. They actually threaten you and won’t speak to the installer. Do not use. They are an awful company. They will say anything to get your custom.

A few weeks ago, an engineer turned up to service my alarm. As I had no warning, I wasn't in. Even the engineer expected that there had been no warning so did write this in his job write up.
Since then, I have tried contacting them several times by email as I have no phone number for my local office, which seems to have been shut down. No-one has responded.
I'm paying for this service and it's now 2 months overdue. Terrible customer service.
Just received an invoice for 3 packs of 4 Energizer Lithium batteries during a domestic alarm service.
Each pack is invoiced at £15.86 plus vat.
That is more than twice as much as they are on the high street. Absolute ripoff thieves. It's this sort of pricing that's fuelling inflation and every body loses out in the end, including the Securitas employee that does the costing.
There's absolutely no excuse for this profeteering.
I was a manager at securitas in London mobile, the higher management make you part of their agenda and will eventually get rid of you, it's a biased and racist culture all the way through, I worked at mobile department, and the service is very bad on a daily basis.
