I’ve been letting my home insurance renew for the past few years as it was bundled through an insurance carrier with my vehicle insurance. The insurance company never shopped for me at renewals; the home insurance policy was through their “insurance market” and not directly with them, so I guess the standard in that situation is that they don’t bother to shop for you. Select Quote, as I’ve been informed by my recent agent, shops for you every year before the renewal. I’m glad to let them take that off my plate and find me the best deal.
