I'm not sure if my experience was a attempted scam or just employee incompetence.
I sent in 2 laptops a Ryzen 3 17" #7123 and a i7 15" #7124 both working but in good to poor condition but they say they take all laptops even broken.
I was told that the Ryzen had a memory error and the other chassis was too damaged the offer from them was £5 each!! 😅
I asked for them to be sent back which would cost me £20 they kept saying a Stripe payment request has been sent but nothing arrived. Eventually they gave a PayPal option to send the £20.
Laptops arrived back a week later both still working perfectly.
Total waste of mine and their money and time and I'm still not sure if it's a scam. If you put the address on this page into Google maps it shows a Chiropractors.
Now they have replied I ask why would I pay for them to be returned if I was trying to scam them?? 🤣
Good luck to anyone who reads my review and still trusts that your not lying about laptops sent in.

Having spoken to Phil about my laptop we had a very nice chat and all though my laptop had bits missing which i had no knowledge of Phil still paid me what he offerd not many companys would do that would they and i cant fault them.

Almost 3 weeks ago I sent in 2 laptops to recycle. As I was putting in the information I accidentally chose the wrong year for the first laptop (it was older than what I had chosen). The second one had liquid damage, the terms and conditions clearly state that laptops with liquid damage are accepted. I valued both laptops as in “poor condition” and “FAULTY” before sending them. 2 weeks after receiving my laptops I was told they weren’t interested in purchasing them and that I had to pay 20£ to have the laptops returned to me. Their terms and conditions clearly state that if they don’t wish to purchase the items that they would be returned to me free of charge.
I’ve been emailing with them back and forth for a week now, most recently with Phil Ferdinand, quoting the specific parts of their terms and conditions that say the order needs to be returned free of charge. They keep refusing to return my laptops without the fee and their justification is “We have incurred costs of £15 already and not prepared to incur more.”, even though this is irrelevant to their own terms and conditions. Breaking the terms and conditions in order to charge the customer unreasonable fees is FRAUD! DO NOT trust this company. On top of that, Phil Ferdinand said that I could file a complaint and then proceeded to add HIS OWN EMAIL ADDRESS for me to do so, which is shocking.
I’m still trying to get my laptops back but they keep ignoring my requests, refuse to justify going against the terms and conditions and insisting on charging me without any reason or justification. I’m honestly shocked by this company’s fraudulent behavior and I hope this warns people so they don’t end up in a situation like mine.
TO ADD AFTER THEIR REPLY: I had already said I accidentally chose the wrong year for the first laptop, and yes it’s absolutely possible to make this mistake, there’s even a section about it on their terms and conditions that say that if the person accidentally chooses the wrong model, they will still quote it and return it free of charge if the sale doesn’t go through. . For the second laptop I not only chose the poor condition option, I also chose the FAULTY option. I made it clear before sending that the laptop was faulty so lying to make yourself look better doesn’t work in your favor. Trying to change the story and call me fraudulent is shocking behavior but I’ve noticed it’s what he does with EVERY negative review. He is still refusing to return my laptops without making me pay and has now said he will no longer reply to further correspondence. A sad example of horrible customer service and a clearly fraudulent company that is incapable of professional communication without attacking anyone that has a bad experience with them. STAY AWAY!
Edit: He updated his reply and added “WE WILL NOT TOLERATE FRAUD AND ABUSE!
THERE HAS TO BE A LINE, WHERE WE SAY NO MORE!” Bear in mind that all I asked was for him to honor the terms and conditions and return my laptops to which he replied “You may quote the terms and conditions, but the decision is mine.” Apparently the terms and conditions only matter when it suits him. And no, he has not been able to justify breaking the terms and conditions beyond “because I said so”. He has also resorted to insults, attacks and accusations via email that got worse after I posted this review. He said that other people have complained about having to pay to get their laptops returned so there are more complaints than the ones on this site. I’m honestly shocked at the rude, unprofessional and fraudulent behavior from this man who claims to be the owner. This is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever encountered and I’m going to have to resort to reporting him to other authorities to hopefully get my laptops back as he refuses to return them unless I pay him.

Despite the negative reviews on here I don’t think they’re a full reflection of the company. I sold my laptop two weeks ago and this website by far gave me the best quote and I have received my payment today. Communication was slightly slow however they explained that it was due to staffing issues, however I did receive updates at each stage of the process . Overall would recommend as got a decent quote for my laptop of three years. Simple and easy process they send you the label and you can easily send it off. Overall would recommend if I ever needed to sell a laptop again but do be patient!
They steal your laptop and don’t provide any communication.
Laptop was delivered as requested on the 19th August as requested. After a week I contacted them through their website, to date (2nd September) I have received no response. I have emailed them by replying to their original email on the 1st September. Again. No response. My only conclusion is this is a scam. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
After leaving this review I was contacted by Matt directly who explained that staffing issues had caused the delay and then addressed the matter which was resolved in a few days and payment received
Here’s what happened:
I sent in my computer in April and then submitted my bank details in August. After that, I didn’t get paid within the timeframe stated on the site. Since you can’t edit or even view your bank submission afterwards, I tried to check what was going on by emailing and calling.
On August 28, I both emailed and called. I called again on August 29—no one picked up, and no one replied to my email. On the 29th I also found I couldn’t log into my account, and I still couldn’t. So I left a review saying it looked like a scam.
On September 1, Phil got in touch and told me their Friday closing time isn’t 5 p.m. like the website says, but 3 p.m., and that he’d closed my account and put it under investigation—without telling me beforehand. On September 2, I received the payment from them, so I updated my review.
The reason I gave them one star is that they locked me out of my account without any notice, and the phone number listed on their site never gets answered.

After getting a good valuation I sent my laptop to them as agreed. The valuation and shipping process was really smooth. However, after my laptop got delivered the process became much worse.
They didn't contact me until I called them, at which point they revised my offer down citing some wear on the device. I still accepted the lower offer and provided my bank details. Once again I didnt hear anything for days until I managed to get them on the phone where they told me that the bank details were missing a number. Ok, that happens so I updated the details.
Yet again, no communication for a week despite me sending several emails and trying to call them every other day.
Eventually I left a one star review here at which point they finally got back to me and I was able to receive the transfer.
The lack of communication is really disappointing, I do believe they have been particularly busy but that still doesn't excuse complete absense of any communication from their side. Each time there was a delay I only found out about it after repeatedly calling them.
Not once did they reach out to me first to let me know that there was an error or something needed to be reassessed. Their phone would go straight to voicemail and I believed I got scammed until leaving a review here.
While I did eventually receive the money for my laptop, unfortunately I can't rate the experience more than 3 stars

I originally gave them 1 star as felt like the lack of response to my calls and emails felt like a scam and I had lost my laptop.
After writing here they did get in touch to let me know they had been busy which is why it had taken so long to respond to me. I get that but more than a week seemed a little stretched.
The original valuation seemed great but due to some faults it was dropped by a third. I appreciate that if it cannot be used etc, however I woulf suggest upgrading the software that takes the quotes to help with being able to put in more details so the quotes would be a closer match to the payout.
I have increased my rating as once communication started things went smoothly. It was the initial lack of communication that led me to not go to 4 stars.
