Love Sharetribe, Been using them for years to launch marketplaces, super platform so easy to use but more than anything else its their customer service and the way they help with big and small questions. Great for advice and a big shoutout to Oana who has always come up with great suggestions on how to improve my platforms.

Awful company.
Awful company.
I paid for 6months subscription that I wasn't able to use and they refuse to give my money back. I used 20 days of this service and they are keeping £573 pounds subscription that I won't use.
They hide behind a legal wall - their terms are advertised as 30days free, then it becomes 10 days when you pay more and without your knowledge you're in a binding agreement they don't make clear about.
Rip-off and awful all in one.
Screw them :(

I fully understand your frustration with this issue. In order to give both you and the readers of your review full context, I want to explain a bit about how our refund policy works.
We offer a 30-day free trial of Sharetribe Go. During the trial period, it's possible to try out pretty much all the features of the product and decide if it is right for you before making a commitment to pay for it.
After the trial period, you need to subscribe to a paid plan to keep your marketplace operational. At this point, you can choose between paying for a monthly subscription or paying for 6 months in advance. The latter option gives you a 20% discount on our fees. We're able to offer this discount because we can rely on the subscription lasting for at least 6 months.
Our customers can at any point cancel their subscription to stop at the end of the last period they paid for. We also offer refunds on subscription payments up until 10 days after the last payment was made. Further refunds would unfortunately defeat the purpose of offering a discount for a longer subscription commitment. Your refund request came after 10 days, and because of that, we were unable to accommodate it.
We do our best to design our policies to be as fair as possible and communicate them as transparently as possible. Whenever we receive feedback where a customer felt our policies were not what they expected, we discuss it internally and take the opportunity to see where we can do better. We’re currently looking into how we could improve our refund policy and make it more explicit at the time of purchase. Thus, I want to again express my thanks for giving us your feedback.

Waste of money, LITERALLY THEIR WEBSITES LOOK THE SAME AS 11 YEARS AGO. TRASH. Their "go" product feels like a slap on the face. Like you must have a super ugly looking and outdated website that seems to be from the 90's or you pay a ton of money for their flex product and their developers/ your own developer, plus fees per volume of sales (you can find talented developers to build your very own market place for WAYYY less)
Can't forget to add that they LIE and say the "go" version is fully customizable and can do things that it actually cant. and then when you talk to developers theres not much that can be changed.
THEY CHANGED THE FONT (ONLY ONE YOU CAN USE) ON THEIR GO PRODUCT AND THEY CALL THAT AN UPGRADE LOL
If you have tens of thousands of dollars to spare and test an idea with the only decent product they offer "flex" then go ahead. But for that same price might as well build your own market place with other website builders or hire a developer.
the "go" version they offer is functional but that's it besides that its horrendous, IT DOENST TRANSMIT ANY TRUST, I looks shady and super old.
PEOPLE... YOU KNOW IT DOESNT TAKE MUCH EFFORT TO WORK ON YOUR FRONTEND A LITTLE BIT...
BUT THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS, straight up money. if you want a barely decent looking landing page thats over a 100 dollars A MONTH for NO VALUE, if you're a student like me you can get a discount on website builders and pay those same hundred bucks for a whole year.
If you want your website to succeed, put a little more effort and it will pay off. everything they offer you can do yourself connecting third party services to your site.
This people are just against progress and innovation again THEIR WEBSITES LOOK THE SAME AS WHEN THEY STARTED LIKE 11 YEARS AGO, JUST RIDICULOUS
