Unethical and misleading, I feel scammed

1st month was advertised as £55 (with a discount)
2nd month they upped the price for the same dose without telling me to £139 and didn't apply my discount.
I tried to cancel as this wasn't what I signed up for. They told me I had signed up for 3 months so couldn't cancel and would have to do so 21 days before the end of the 3 months.

I wasn't aware I had signed up for 3 months and DEFINITELY wasn't aware that they would more than double the price for the next 2 months without telling me. They advertise it as being really cheap but it feels more like a bait and switch- when they have trapped you into a contract you weren't aware of.

Beware of the small print and massive price hikes.

There was no transparency on how much more they would charge me or that I had signed up for a 3 month contract.
I honestly feel scammed by this company.

Amazing experience, just try it

I have a long term health condition and a lot of companies I tried said no. But Shemed accepted me and have been brilliant. From filling out my health questionnaire, taking blood test and sending out injection pens. The app is amazing where you can see your progress, note any side effect concerns and able to read clinicians report which is also sent to your GP. I'm just starting week 14 and lost 1 1/2 stone, I'm very pleased just wished I'd started it sooner. Anyone thinking about joining do it. I've still got a way to go but definitely in the right track. Thanks for your help Shemed 🥰

Be aware of hidden cancellation fee

Horrible company won't let u cancel without a cancellation fee despite following the guidelines on cancelling do not use

When you signed up, you selected a Lock-in Programme, which offers a reduced rate in exchange for committing to a fixed minimum period. This was displayed on the checkout page before you confirmed your subscription. As outlined in our terms and conditions, cancelling during the Lock-in Period does incur an early termination fee, calculated as the difference between what you paid at the discounted rate and what the standard price would have been, plus a £25 administration fee.

Horrific company

Horrific company. I emailed to ask about cancelling if I don’t get on with the side effects, this was before I started or had been accepted or sent anything. They sent me back a link of how to do a blood test and said my case was closed and resolved so I couldn’t reply so I had to open up another case that would take a few more days and I’d mentioned cancelling with them before I’d even started. They’re impossible to get hold of, take days to reply and pretend they don’t know what you’re on about or ignore parts of the questions and just reply with all copy and paste script. But the first thing you have to do before you can contact them is…. First months payment so they have your bank details. They’re trying to long out the emails over days and days so you roll over into another months pay if you talk about cancellation they will long it out. I didn’t even want to take the mediation from them in the end because they’re so dodgy nothing about them is legitimate. Eventually they said if you had side effects to cancel there’s a prosess you go through… aka they won’t cancel it they keep pushing you on with ‘advice from professionals’ so they get another month or so of money out of you. I ended up cancelling before i even started the injections and lost the whole of my first months money (didn’t even get any medication send out or accepted for the programme) because I knew they would make more excuses the next month if I’d started as their emails were so sly with the way they word it. They have a good first month deal but then a lot more expensive than the other companies after that. They said you’d get the first dose in 5-7 days after signing up. They hadn’t even contacted me to say if I was eligible by 7 days and take days to reply to emails so I definitely wouldn’t of got anything from them for a few weeks and then that would of rolled in and locked into another months pay for them at the premium price as it has to be 21 days before to cancel. Very dodgy, read between the lines of what they email you because it’s all dancing around the questions and not transparent at all even though they pretend to be, they word things very sly to catch you out. Can’t comment on the jabs as I didn’t start but as a company very dodgy.

After they’ve confirmed the cancellation (no refund, no product received) I’ve replied back to the same email I’ve been talking to them on to ask them to confirm they won’t take any more money out of my bank (because I’ve seen so many other reviews that months after cancelling other people are still having money taken out of their bank) and the email bounced so they’ve blocked me and will refuse to confirm.
I’ve had to call my bank to block and report them (as I’ve seen others have to do in reviews) from taking any more payments, even though I’m not in the subscription with them and never received the first month of what I paid for as other customers have written the same that it’s happened to them.
They delete / hide all comments on their social media to cover themselves. I never commented but seen it happen to other people complaining it disappears. There’s so many bad reviews and they make up a lot of false excuses and not direct with what they say to get around it all.

For patient safety, any concerns relating to treatment or potential side effects are reviewed by our clinical team before further prescribing decisions are made. We appreciate that this process may not have been explained clearly in your case, and we’re sorry for any confusion caused.

In relation to cancellations, these are managed in line with our Terms and Conditions, including the required notice period. Where a request is made outside of that notice window, the next scheduled payment may still be taken, with the cancellation applying from the following cycle. Charges may also still apply where clinical services have already been provided or treatment has already been prepared.

We recognise, however, that clear, timely and transparent communication is essential throughout this process, and we’re sorry if this was not your experience.

Cheap, complicated, and they keep your money. Very unhappy.

SheMed get you on the hook with an upfront payment of hundreds of pounds, and then you have to wait for a blood test kit, download an app, do the test and send it off, wait for results and a decision if you even qualify for something other pharmacies glady provide, all for them to not even give you a full refund if this process logistically doesn't work for you. Meanwhile you potentially run out of your previous Px!!
SheMed have had over £200 of my money, caused such delays I had to buy with another pharmacy anyway, not been entirely transparent about the partial refund in my calls with them about cancelling, and now when I have to cancel before I've even done the blood test, they're keeping over £50 of my money for absolutely nothing.
They hook you in as one of the cheaper companies but then keep the money for providing no service if you can't access their apps, etc. Absolutely disgusting company. You'd be better off going to another pharmacy and paying a bit more for a much simpler and complication-free service. At least you'd have something to show for your money!

The price you have received includes the standard price of the screening kit and the medication offer.

On the website, the screening process, and in the checkout process, they all clearly state that a blood test stage needs to be completed before issuing a prescription. All customers are required to review and accept our terms and conditions before completing their first purchase. These outline how our service works, including the mandatory steps for the screening process and our refund policy. As we provide prescribed medications and regulated medical products, including the screening kit, we are legally required to follow strict prescription and dispensing guidelines.

That said, we are providing a partial refund for the medication as a gesture of goodwill, which goes outside the scope of our terms and conditions.

Great experience so far

As a nurse myself I do appreciate the blood test prior to starting the programme, well designed website/app, easy to use, like the option of escalation to clinician, overall so far so good! Only been with SheMed for 2 weeks so too early to tell re weight loss

Complete scam...

Complete scam.... Once they get your credit card number they will up the price and keep sending you the same dose.....

2 months later and they're STILL trying to charge my card.

AVOID

UPDATE: Honestly, never seen anything like it. They know you've cancelled but will still see if they can get away charging your card.

There are several reasons why the same dosage may be prescribed again, including limited weight loss with the previous pen or the presence of side effects. As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, unless a refill request is manually submitted with a specific dosage, an automatic request will be processed. In those cases, our clinical team determines the most appropriate dosage based on the information available in your account, including your weight loss progress.

Regarding pricing, we are currently offering an exclusive deal with a first Wegovy pen at the lowest dosage at a promotional price. Any subsequent pens are offered at our standard rate.

We’re also sorry to hear that there have been attempts to charge your card. If you have submitted a cancellation request, this should not happen. If no cancellation request has been submitted, then, as outlined in our Terms and Conditions, charges will continue as agreed at the time of your initial checkout.

Not worth the hassle for £10 discount

The customer service was shocking, very unhelpful and rude, I was made to feel stupid when in fact the fault was there’s. They took money from my bank with no warning, i did not agree to a 3 month contract at £309. I sent in my concerns regards this and the large price increase before having my medication approved, they responded to say they would look in to this yet still continued to process my order ensuring there was no chance of getting my money back. I wanted to look after my health, this has backfired greatly with the stress and anxiety of the large amount of money leaving my account without my consent.

To clarify, the Blue Light Card discount applies to the first month only, as part of a three-month treatment commitment, with the standard pricing for subsequent months remaining at the price displayed on the website.

As outlined in our terms and conditions, which customers are required to review and accept at checkout, our service operates on an auto-refill basis. This means that every 28 days, payment is processed and medication is issued automatically to ensure continuity of treatment, unless a cancellation or delay request is submitted within the appropriate timeframe prior to the next billing date.

It’s been amazing

I love the nutrition webinars that you guys do it’s so informative especially about having prepared meals so I do eat my daily nutrients day to day, I can’t thank you guys enough this medication has given me my life back because it’s put me in control of my PCOS, instead of the other way round which it has been for years, I didn’t realise how unhappy I was until I wasn’t anymore, I’ve seen a vast improvement in my mental health as I’m able to manage it more effectively. I’m nuts about fruit and fibre sounds silly to some but I actually crave fruit and vegetables now more than I ever have, I do Pilates now and strength training for half an hour 4-5 times a week it helps me with my osteoarthritis and joint pain as well as my mental health I love it, I’m 21lbs down now, I’m grateful to you guys at SheMed for being women focused you guys have intentional care, here’s to many more weight loss mile stones.

I purchased the first month for £79

I purchased the first month for £79, selecting the one‑month option only. Without my permission, ShedMed took £139 from my account for a second month that I never agreed to.

When I called, they claimed I had “accepted” a repeat prescription, which is completely untrue. I did not authorise any subscription or ongoing payments.

This experience felt misleading and stressful. Please be careful ,don’t get caught out by unexpected charges.
