Just awful……I’ve been emailing their customer service since June 2022, it’s now Sep 29th and no reply. Shockingly bad service.
Fraud
I purchased three farmboy freedom hats from sheplers. When they arrived they turned out to be the very lowest quality knock offs I have ever seen. Not worth three dollars much less $25 each. The ad specifically states farm boy freedom hats. They were a different brand did not say farmboy anywhere on them. Complete and total fraud. Thank you so much for wasting my time and money sheplers. Don’t buy anything from this company online honestly is not some thing that they Cherish.

Great until you need a return
I purchased 3 items from Sheplers for the first time in November 2021. They arrived quickly and in good condition, but the sizing of a pair of jeans was wildly inaccurately. I'm a firm size 29, but purchased a size 30 to be on the safe side. It arrived and I couldn't even get them pulled up over my legs. The size 30 fit like I was trying on a size 25. I couldn't exchange them because I have no idea what size I would wear here. They charge a $10 return fee and you can't get the online system to recognize your order number to start the process. I phoned, but got caught in a 5 minute loop not allowing me to speak to anyone. I called back 3 times to get to a person. It seems as though they think they are being smart by pretending to take returns, but lacking a system that works for the process. I guess they don't realize that they lose any potential future business from new customers. Stepping over dollars to pick up nickels.
Great items, awful customer experience.
Great selection of US workwear brands and quality clothing that is tricky to get hold of in the UK.
Prices are reasonable considering quality and postage, but the customer service is absolutely abysmal.
I've only placed 3 orders with them, and every single item has come with an issue - a pain for sure, but what makes it terrible is that they do not bother contacting you to inform you of these issues at all! There was an error with the first order after a missing product code, and the order was cancelled despite taking payment. The second was being sourced from a store and couldn't be acquired for 2 month's. My current order was also wrongly listed as available and is now on backorder.
They have absolutely no system in place to notify the customer if any issues arise. You have to chase up customer service for your answers. I even specifically contacted them after my recent order to ask I be contacted if there are any issues, and lo-and-behold, I was left in the dark for a week before contacting them myself to find they don't have my item to send. The CS reps are often poorly informed and unapologetically uninterested in helping solve issues or assure you that they will remedy the situation, just relay to you the basic order status information and say their goodbyes. I haven't been able to find any alternatives, but when I do, I definitely won't bother shopping with Sheplers again.

Sheplers provides quality jeans at reasonable prices. I try to catch the sale prices when possible and they usually don't disappoint me. The jeans order is processed quickly and without problems. They have the sizes I need for tall, long legged young men. Thank you Sheplers.

Unfriendly customer service.
The kids western boot sizing isn’t universally friendly.
I purchased my daughter some cool looking boots, but it was a hassle to try figure out what her size was. I’m not even sure if I have got the correct size to be honest.. there customer service was terrible, very rude & hung up on me,
when I asked if they could explain the sizing to me. Something so simple turned out to be a mountain.
I purchased them yesterday, & they were dispatched the following day.
But I guess I will find out if I got the correct size or not, when they arrive.
Shipping was $40 to NZ so exchanges or refunds are unlikely.
Praying they will fit! It’s for my daughter birthday!

Checkout broken but still reserved funds
I've purchased from Sheplers a long time ago, with no hassle. I have however moved country since. When I went to buy again recently I discovered a bug in the checkout where the list of billing countries doesn't match the shipping countries. Unfortunately, due to how they handle checkout the issue only arose AFTER they had reserved funds on my account. Not surprisingly I was concerned that they had taken the funds but would not allow me to buy, so I reached out to their customer support via chat. The person I contacted was not reassuring. No mention was made of checking to see if the order had gone through on their side. She simply advised the money would be released automatically (it hasn't been yet). No interest whatsoever was taken in the technical issue (future buyers beware) and there was no attempt to help me successfully complete my transaction.
Don't bother
Have used sheplars for a few years and up until now have been ok. Ordered jeans and a leather belt. Belt made in Taiwan! Why t f would I order a belt ( thinking would be mex/ Spanish quality) from Taiwan.. .Jeans not .sure about yet.obviously new take over cutting costs .Disappointed . won't be buying any more from this new company.

i opened my Dan Post Sea Bass boots that i had bought for my dad. there was a sticky note in there, and it had written on there that these were someone’s beforehand and they exchanged them for a bigger size. i spent a lot of money on these just to find out that someone else had them before me. my dad didn’t care because he loves the boots, but i do because i spent my money on them. :(

If I could give nothing I would brought a pair of amhurst Harley Davidson boots in July they sent the boots out and some how in transition they got lost I understand the way things are it’s summer and no rush called several times cause the boots were suppose to be returned to them it’s September still no boots talk to a Taylor who inform me they had to put a second trace on the boots I wanted to cancel and get my money back she said all she can do is keep putting on trace I didn’t lose them they never made it to me and they don’t care and never can’t talk to supervisor I’ll never purchase anything again bad customer service that’s one thing I can’t tolerate ridiculous buy at your own risk

I ordered a pair of riding boots and after two weeks had passed and still had not received them I decided to track the order and to my surprise the order had been canceled by Sheplers! No one notified me. I then sent an email asking about it, no answer. Sent another email requesting my money back and again no response. Took a screenshot of my credit card statement showing the charge and again requested a refund. I have gotten NOTHING!!! I always do business with Boot Barn and just thought hey, I’ll give Sheplers a try. Never again!
