Shock Surplus did an excellent job with my order. I got exactly what I wanted in a timely manner, and everything fit great. I feel like they sell good products at a reasonable price. I will buy from Shock Surplus again, and would refer them to others.

Late shipping and impossible to do return

Fox shocks were fine. Shipped later than they anticipated. Roost shield that was recommended with these shocks don’t fit. Went through return process as recommended by web video. No response. They make it darn near impossible to do a return even if it’s their issue.

Poor customer support when dealing with returns

I emailed company representative prior to placing the order to ask what shocks would fit my Japanese market Toyota Prado imported truck. I was guaranteed the ones he recommended would fit. Unfortunately, shocks did not fit due to mounting point differences and they said they can send another version of the same shocks with different mounting point to which I declined and just wanted to return the shocks. They mailed me the different shocks anyway. I had to return (8) shocks in total and asked for a full refund. Refund came back $50 because of restocking fees that I did not feel responsible for since I bought what was recommended but it did not. I feel the right way to handle this was to do a full refund. After asking for a full refund they stopped answering the emails. I would not buy anything from them in future due to this sole reason. I bet they sell great products but customer support is not there yet.

Great experience

We ordered new shocks for our truck and they came quickly with no issues. We had them on in just a couple hours and we ready to hit the road again. Thanks guys!

Horrible Customer Service

The shocks i ordered have worked perfectly. With that being said, their customer service is horrible. I have been trying for 3 weeks to return a front steering stabilizer still in the box and I cannot get anyone to help me return it. I have talked to two different agents for their customer service and still my return has not been resolved. Im happy with the product, but very disappointed with the customer service. Next time I buy shocks for my truck or leveling kit, I will buy elsewhere.

It looks like the last message we received from you was on 3/24, and a response was sent at that time. If you did not receive it, there may have been an issue with delivery or it may have gone to a spam or junk folder.

Orders ship in multiple shipments, which can happen due to warehouse availability or assembly timelines. In some cases, we are also dependent on manufacturers for certain components like mounts, which can delay fully assembled struts.

They're in no rush to ship your order

I placed a $5,000 order only for the order not to ship by the date it was supposed to. When I called to check on the status you need to fight through an AI to get to a person that can " help". After getting ahold of Joe i was informed my order was not in stock but I would be in line for when the shocks become available in a few months. I canceled the order and ordered the only set that was comparable in performance yet $3000 more in price. So now my ordered was over $8000 and I was told the order would go out the next morning next day air. After a week of phone calls the shocks still haven't shipped.

Being told items were in stock and ready to ship, only to later find out they were not, is not the experience we want for our customers.
