My biggest problem with short story is not their product. But they do not make it clear that after creating an account (putting payment information and personal information), there is no way to delete it. I’ve contacted customer service for weeks, and though they responded, they have yet to delete it. It concerns me that a company would hold on to your information and not be honest up front that they will do so.

The pants fit perfectly.i like Short Story selections.

Buyer Beware

I’m really disappointed to be writing a negative review because, overall, the service itself is great. I genuinely saw myself continuing the subscription long-term.

However, after returning my first box within the required timeframe, I received an automated email stating they hadn’t received my return. I replied to clarify that it had been sent back, and a representative quickly responded, confirming it was a mistake and that they could see the tracking information.

A few days later, I received another email with the same claim—but this time, they charged my card $350 for “unreturned” items.

There is no phone support or reliable way to contact them outside of email, which has made resolving this issue frustrating. I’m currently trying to get the charge reversed and have already canceled my subscription.

Unfortunately, it’s just not worth the hassle to deal with a company that doesn’t seem to have its processes fully in order.

I get a variety of items to try on. Many times it's something I wouldn't have chosen myself. Most everything fits me too. I'm not waisting time at a department store attempting to find things that fit. The best part, I don't see someone else wearing the same things as me. I'm over 60 and I'm dressing so I feel good and look youthful.

Short Story Box answered my question promptly and clearly. They were eager to help and accommodated my request with ease. They were friendly and so helpful.

Short Story has owed me $419 for several months now for a box of clothes that I returned. All I get are excuses and assurances that they are working on it but in reality nothing is being resolved. The Representative claims "she is monitoring the situation daily" and "understands my frustration." I'm afraid I will never get the refund that is owed me and I am being SCAMMED!

In addition, their clothes are not that impressive.

I love this site, No more trips to the tailor. I’ve had to return a few things but by and large very satisfied with everything I’ve received . I’d recommend all petites to give it a try. ❤️

I have tried to cancel this subscription for two months now, and they won't stop "styling" me and sending walmart quality clothing that I don't want. The clothes are generally cheap crap, and I can't seem to actually cancel this subscription, no matter how many times I select cancel.

Short Story is truly amazing!! The clothes fit so well and are made with incredible quality and style. I absolutely love my stylist and feel beautiful every time I wear their pieces. Thank you for helping to build my confidence!

Although the product itself was good not only did I get charged for the products I decided to keep but I later got charged for the entirety of the entire box on top of it. I have made a couple of attempts to contact and nobody has reached out to me. I have gone forth and filed this as a dispute on my bank account. I really wanted to like this brand but not if I am going to be double charged and not receive any response to my concern.

I have loved my boxes! The clothes fit very well, especially the pants/jeans… though I was most surprised by the difference in a well fitting shirt/sweater! I had one issue with a sweater and the customer service was fantastic-responsive and fair. Overall, been a great experience with my multiple boxes.

I have tried a lot of style box services and so far have had the best luck with this one. Quality fabrics, great pricing, cute styles, and the fit actually fits short gals, like myself. Super impressed with all aspects of the service and I always look forward to my next box!

I have been trying other box companies, but they never seem to notice what my style quiz says. Not short story. I’m 4’11” and the first box had some jeans that were perfect. Shirts were a little tight in the sleeves. I communicated this and things fit better in the next box.
I kept a shacket and a second pair of jeans. This was right after I had to go on short term disability for rotater cuff injury and surgery. They moved back the return date so I could purchase those items when money landed in my account that week. They were great about holding my boxes until May when I should be back to work. Customer service was A++. My happiness at getting jeans and jacket that fit was immense. Quality is fantastic, comfort is a priority and they hit it so much better than the others.

As usual, I was apprehensive about trying this company but thus far I have not been disappointed! You give your measurements and your likes and dislikes, and they tailor your needs to your requests. If you do not like the pieces of clothing, you send them back UPS and tell them why you do not like the pieces on the website. The quality of clothes will not disappoint, and Short Story also helps you step out of your comfort zone trust me...The entire process is Simple and precise. I highly recommend Short Story.

GARBAGE CLOTHING. SCAM SCAM SCAM. YOU EMAIL THEM TO CANCEL AND THEY DON'T DO IT. THERE'S NO WAY TO CANCEL ON THE WEBSITE. SUCH A SCAM!!!!

I loved my first Short Story box! Everything fit perfect, the clothes are stylish and the prices are great. I'm looking forward to my next Short Story box. :)

I love my short story box subscription!! It never disappoints!! Items I wouldn’t normally buy myself I love. Size exchanges are easy!! Finally clothes that fit!!

I look forward to every box I receive. My short story pieces are some of my favorite things to wear and they always fit perfect.
