Shurgard Self Storage - Putney Avis 

I arrived at the Putney branch to purchase a lock and I was informed that the last two locks had just been sold. The manager on the 03.03.25 informed me that there will be locks at the Wandsworth location. I told him I was in a hurry as I had movers waiting for me at that location. He then decided to drive me to the Wandsworth location and I got a new lock. He went out of his way to ensure I was assisted and I cannot thank him enough for all his effort.

Put the price up by £50.00 a month with only 1 month notice. Then after paying the increase I couldn’t get access at 7pm due to fault with the app. I work at nights and was unable to work which cost me money due to being unable to get into the storage unit. If the access code system was still in place I would have been able to still get into the unit but now it’s all operated by app to get access which is only for them to gain more money from data usage. not that it’s a problem but when it’s not working and can’t get access it’s becomes a problem. Will be looking else where.

Gareth was extremely helpful and friendly, he showed me around and told me everything I needed to know and answered all my questions! The unit is perfect and the whole place is very secure yet easy to use.

This is not first time I am renting and there are always complications with invoice. They trying to charge for extra months, making the rules so difficult that is impossible to understand and what you need to do to avoid charges. They just basically always try to lock you in. And units have no lights, with stupid excuses of fire hazard ( that’s why qualified electrician exists!) staff is as confused about the billing as we are. Avoid if you can.

Hey ! I and my friend have stuff there with my friend’s name. Because we both were students and got into critical situation that time.we had to chose shugard putney.

No one replies to me or pickup the call there in shugard putney branch i and my friend need our stuff back we have got our laptops and all the important documents and clothes there and it’s been more than 4,5 months we are unable to contact them.
They have discontinued the contract with us and before that they even tried to enter our unit and got some “food” out which includes 2 face washes, velo and i agee on of dry spices . And terminated out contract.
We need our documents and papers back because it hold our life time degrees and ID cards .
Everything happened due to severe circumstances but shugard team was unhelpful honestly.
I would like a response so i can visit and collect the stuff .

Had a very stressful day moving on Sunday and Semira was so helpful. Was dreading all the admin of having to get all of my stuff into storage but Semira showed me to my unit and was very helpful with all my questions. She went above and beyond and I managed to move into my unit within 30mins.

After several years I no longer have a need for a storage locker. I have dealt with Gareth at Putney over this period of time and I was super glad he was on today when I told Shurguard I would be terminating my agreement. Gareth as always dealt with my queries and documentation in a very professional way, I received my termination confirmation within 15 minutes of leaving the storage unit. When I was sorting things out, he excused himself to take a call which was for another branch, he was super polite and super helpful.
