It’s great! I like the staff, and it’s well organized

I have used Shurgard before and always had a great experience. Unit was ready and waiting very quickly and staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again and recommend.

The staff were welcoming and friendly and answered all my questions.

The staff are welcoming and courteous, ensuring that I had the best deal available at the time, showing me the unit that I was hiring and answering my questions with knowledge and understanding. For this they get 5 stars. I have reduced it to 4 stars because Shurgard's policy does not allow me to be called by my preferred name which infuriates me. Whilst the staff happily call me this, the name on the app and on the paperwork has to agree with my driver's licence. There should be a way to have someone addressed by their preferred name in this day an age!

Very easy, very quick. I have also lost my keys! Called the store they set up a time (around 1 hour after loosing the keys) to drill the lock and replace it. Very helpful.

Matthew and Darren looked after me beyond my expectation. My first time of renting a storage and they made it easier for me. Mathew's calmness and guidance and Darren's intermittent checks on me and providing extra assistance cannot be taken for granted; they are highly commendable.

I was also impressed when Danny called a couple of days later to find out if I had a good experience and offered a bigger room (at no cost because I am a new customer) if I needed it. I am really impressed with the customer service as you rarely get this anywhere now. Thank you!!

The initial sign up at the South Croydon facility went smooth and the rep was courteous. When I decided to end my contract the customer care was appalling. Completely unscrupulous behaviour.,
Although I had stated in writing that I wanted to end my contract and was advised of the date to do so to avoid further payments

I emptied the unit well before that date and was contacted by a rep from another site offering me a better deal. No one from the South Croydon branch contacted me in relation to my request to end the contract.,I asked the rep from the Purley way branch and he told me to keep the keys. There was nothing about keeping the unit open and did not explain the proper close of account procedure. I am not sure if these guys are on commission.so withold information. . In fairness to him he was from another site. A rep from your South Croydon branch called in August about payment and I explained I had emptied my uniit and ended my contract. He failed to explain the correct closing procedure and merely told me I needed to keep the unit open. This was the first telephone call I had from the South Croydon branch since requesting to end my contract.
I went into the office today because I kept getting emails about payment. He was the same person who called me demanding payment.

As part of customer care he could have explained the correct process over the phone and the consequences but withheld information telling me when I went in that it is in the small print in the brown envelope. That was poor service from him and the South Croydon branch. This may be part of the training given to extract money from customers.

It I am actually appalled by this service and this rep’s behaviour and the general post service customer care.

His manner was cow boyish.

Poor instructions meant that my first visit was abortive. I did not realise that using the app was an imperative and that the keypads are effectively obsolete.
