Product does work OK, however hair got tangled in the barrel so put me off using it again.

Do not waste your money!! The battery wouldn’t fully charge on the first use. I used mine once and my hair got tangled and then the machine wouldn’t work. I gave one star just because I got a quick full refund but they didn’t want me to send it back so to me that says even they know how awful it is.

Such a great curler but battery died after using over only a few months. Customer service will only replace within 14 days. A lot of money for something that packs up so quickly.

Had this brought me at xmas and I've used it 5 times max and the battery has died and given up already. Was the best curler I'd ever had when it worked. So disappointing

My purchase was a gift so paid for delivery within 24hrs of order. The parcel was delivered approx 12hrs late by Royal Mail but during that time I had emailed Silk Wave raising my concern. I expected the usual response you get from some on-line retailers (not our fault, beyond our control etc.) but I had a very professional and friendly response from Ivan (within 3 hours), he had already taken action and fully refunded the postage cost. This was by far the best customer service I have received over the last few years. I wish Ivan and the team at Silk Wave every success - I'll certainly be purchasing with them again.

I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing, great curls, really easy to do - however the battery went within a few weeks of owning. Currently asking for a refund.

I researched these hair curlers and decided not to go for the expensive one (Wylera), in case I ended up not using it very much, or a really cheap one (around £20), just in case it didn't work properly. The Silkwave was around £40, and I really loved it! Until, like others on here have found, it died after around four months and just would not charge... I've just bought the Wylera, which gets much better reviews, and am hoping for a happier experience. This is a fab product, but the 2 stars is for the fact that it died on me after using it only a short time!

Very poor experience, false promises. There is no such thing as a 24 hour service as they state on their website. Would be surprised if they gave me a refund for my product and shipping. I will be sending the product back when I am back from my holiday as I did not receive it in time even after paying extra for NEXT DAY delivery!

Good hair curler, easy to use very light! Doesn’t take much time doing the full head!

After receiving the curler for Christmas and only using it a handful of times it stopped working. Would not hold charge ,barrel stopped working. Contacted them and was told basic6yhat because it was more than 14 days they couldn't do anything. I find this disgusting customer service. My advice stay away from this company.

Really good product,BUT after only 4 months limited use , takes 24 hours to charge just 50% & will not charge fully at all. Apparently battery is only covered by 14day warranty which is such a shame as initially was really pleased with results on hair, but it makes the product expensive.

Battery died after 3months, not covered by warranty (as only 2weeks!).

Complete waste of money as they wont fix / replace it - Advice not to buy unless they change their policy!

This was a Christmas gift and broke after using it about 5 times

They only give 14 days return policy which is appalling, when i reported the fault of the barrel not spinning round and not taking the hair in, they asked for videos of what was wrong, sent all they required now they just don't reply!

It is broken beyond use and is still in perfect/mint condition as they could see from the videos, really angry that i have a £50 product i cannot use or return!

If they rectify this i will remove the review as they few times i used it, it was really good, disappointing really

Really, really pleased with this portable curler!
It's ideal and convenient, I've had no issues with it at all.
I was a little hesitant it may trap or damage my hair but can safely say this hasn't happened and it's very easy to use.
I would say it takes longer than the advertised 10 minutes to achieve the results I like, however, I have really long hair so this is to be expected!
It gives lovely curls, looks very stylish, is easy to get the hang of and I would not hesitate to recommend.

Terrible product didn't even work, they ask me to take a video as if they don't trust people and then ask me to return and pay for the postage which they should pay as they send a faulty product!Don't trust this company at all their products are crap!!!!!

This product is really bad. I got a pair for Christmas off my mum and charged them off for nearly a full day. When I went to use them they ran out of charge after 10 minutes. Charged them again for a full day and over night and the same thing happened, only managed to do a quarter of my hair. You then sent me a replacement as they were clearly faulty- charged the new pair up for 24 hours and the same thing is happening! They are fine for about 10 minutes then run out of charge- and you can’t even use them while they are charging! I am very unhappy this product is faulty and should not be sold!

Product would not charge after numerous attempts, so will not switch on. Contacted Silkwave on day 7 to return and get refund and after a couple of emails, I have received a full refund and do not have to return the faulty product, thus saving me postage. I would suggest to anyone else in this position to email and complete feedback form.
Silkwave have resolved my issue very promptly.

NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT!! Only used once second time pulled hair in twisted so badly took 30 mins to get hair out. Does not curl , battery shocking STAY CLEAR CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOCKING

They are alright! The battery doesn't last long though! I got them for my daughter as she wanted them for school, but most of the time she couldn't because the battery was out. They do amazing curls though when charged!!

Bought and developed a fault (wouldnt fully charge) after 5 weeks. Got in touch and they said there's nothing they could do as its after 14 days! I got in touch with Which consumer group who had an email template about consumer rights which I forward to Silkwave and then they sent a replacement! This broke within a week and dragged my hair all the way up to the scalp - got in touch again demanding a refund. Had to send them a video but eventually got my money back! DO NOT USE
