Silk & Sonder journals are Fabulous!

The Silk and Sonder journals have truly made a difference in my day to day life. In addition to the calendars and weekly to-dos that all planners have, the journals provide space for me to be intentional about other areas in my life such as sleep and expense trackers. The S&S community that’s included with the membership is also amazing! FREE monthly events designed to interact with the journals and each other brings fellowship and a true sense of calm and self-accountability. I highly recommend Silk & Sonder to anyone who is looking to better their lives. It’s totally worth it!

Wonderful Way to Reconnect with Yourself

I've only been with Silk and Sonder for 3 months now but I can see how advantageous it has been already. I wanted to journal more and focus on myself and internal struggles. This subscription has helped me do that and realize my dreams and goals. They feel doable now. And I love the app and its Daily Rituals. I look forward to listening and journaling with Meha. The Sonder Socials are also very fun! Everyone is so welcoming.

Great customer service

I have stopped and restarted my subscription without any issues. They have great customer service, which is why I did not hesitate to restart my subscription.
Despite not being a person that “journals” I enjoy reviving the monthly journal and engaging with the online community through the app and socials.

Amazing tool for growth

I've been using Silk and Sonder for almost 5 years now, and I genuinely can't imagine my life without it. It has helped me learn to manage my stress and anxiety better, and I have learned so much about myself. You get a new journal and new theme every month, which keeps things exciting and fresh. The journal prompts are well thought out and very insightful to ponder. They even hold Sonder Socials which are zoom meetings (cameras and mics off except for the on screen facilitator) to discuss the pages and have some accountability buddies that help you use the tools available to you. You also get access to the Sonder Club app. The community is amazing, and full of the most kind and supportive people I have met. In the app, there are also daily rituals, affirmations, bingos, and much more! You honestly get so much out of your subscription. It is a little expensive, but I think it is worth every cent. I see a lot of reviews about cancellations not going through, but I would not let that scare you away. I have personally never had a problem, because when I first started, I started with the 3 month subscription before eventually upgrading to the annual. When I went to cancel the 3 month subscription, I had absolutely no problems. I have always had an amazing experience as well with their customer care team. They respond so fast and are so helpful with any and all questions. Overall, this is such an amazing tool for growth and self help. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about trying it, it can change your life.

I thought I was only ordering for one…

I thought I was only ordering for one month to see what it’s like. I was disappointed in the package and those no more about it until I got a charge for the next month! I had no intention of getting another piece of trash. It is very difficult to cancel. It took more three tries to get a confirmation of the cancellation instead of a page not found message. This is almost a scam.

loved the journals, overall okay experience

I overall really liked the journals I got each month, but I decided I needed to take a break. I missed the date to cancel my subscription so it auto renewed. I was a bit upset and confused, but their customer service team was helpful in explaining their policies and offering a partial refund.

I adore S+S monthly journals

I am one month into using my first journal from S+S and I can't wait to open my next one! I love everything about this experience! I get a new journal every month, so I feel excited about what's ahead. I enjoy listening to the themed Daily Rituals for the month on the app every morning and spending some quiet reflection before my busy day ahead. I even had an issue with my order for the kids journal, but the team quickly resolved it and I got a new one to replace it! My kids enjoy writing in their journals too! We are a Sonder fam!

Long time Silk and Sonder user

I've been using Silk and Sonder for years and have loved it. I find the monthly journals and the accompanying app very helpful. I've had really good luck with their customer service including changing or canceling a subscription and there's been a couple times over the years where my journal said it had been delivered by UPS or USPS and I never got it and Silk and Sonder immediately sent me a new one that arrived very quickly with no questions asked. I see a lot of the negative comments on here are about automatic subscription renewals but every subscription service I have ever had, whether that's been streaming services, amusement park passes, or subscription boxes, pretty much everything has automatic renewals and you have to remember to manually cancel if you don't want it anymore. In my opinion, I don't think it's really fair to give a 1 star rating for that.

6 years in and still loving it!

I got my first Silk + Sonder edition in March of 2020. What a timely delivery! As someone who was already struggling with anxiety, 2020 was a HARD year, but getting these journals every month helped to ground me and give me a space to do the work I needed to do. I often look back on those older journals just to see how far I've come.

Almost 6 years later and these journals and the Silk + Sonder community have become a part of my daily life. I use the weekly pages to manage my home and work needs. I use the monthly pages to check in with myself, reflect, and carve out space for mindfulness every month. The app is FULL of so many mini meditations, daily rituals (which are mini journaling sessions), fun bingos and more! And I love attending the Sonder Socials with the fellow Sonderfam each week. I've made some life long friends through this community that I will be forever grateful to know.

I have done so much work and gone through so much change and growth in these last 6 years and I truly cannot imagine my journey without Silk + Sonder.

Lovin' it.

I've been using Silk and Sonder for over 2 years. I'm a psychotherapist and really love it. Yes it's a planner/journal but it is so much more -- there's an app with guided meditations, daily journal prompts, reflection prompts, and a "social media" section where members can share struggles and celebrate wins with each other. It is truly an amazing space where people are just so nice, unlike a lot of social media currently.
I see lots of complaints about billing. I have never had an issue - have switched between annual, quarterly, and monthly subscriptions. I've reached out to their online support and always get a response quickly and have always gotten help. And there is a button on your account that says Unsubscribe and other than a few questions and "are you sure?" clicks, it's very easy to do.

From stressed-out skeptic to superfan!

I ordered my first S+S journal when I saw an ad on Instagram in July 2020. It was hands-down the best 'pandemic purchase' I ever made. The month's theme was "Passion" and the founder, Meha's letter was so inspiring! She told us to find out passion - ignite that spark within ourselves. I loved all the journal prompts as well as the trackers (like the mood tracker, habit tracker, and the wheel of life). Each month I was excited to see what new prompts and ideas it would have for me. Coloring pages and recipes, gratitude logs, and puzzles all bound together with a beautiful gold binding and a fabulous floral cover. They have webinars you can attend to learn more about the journal and virtually interacting with the #SonderFam is amazing. Such a supportive, creative, wonderful group of women! They also have an app that you can use to interact with others in the SonderFam (as well as get daily affirmations, listen to daily rituals, and find fun bingo boards).

While I’ve seen some notes about billing issues, my personal experience, has always been amazing.

When I ordered the 12-month prepaid…

When I ordered the 12-month prepaid subscription for this cheap journal, I did so only because the video looked nice. I truly only wanted one month to try it, but of course, that's not available. They force you to buy a 12-month subscription (which I should not have done). After receiving one month, I canceled it, but they don't do ANY refund at all. That's $200 I'll never see again.

NO refund no matter what and bad business practices

This summer I signed up for a 3 month package. It took a few weeks to get my first "journal" and they would not offer to move my subscription one month to account for the fact the "journal" arrived three weeks into the month (their fault). When the journal arrived, it's very pretty but its all marketing. There are 60 thin pages with a few weeks and a bunch of busy-work pages. There is no "journal" space except for a couple of bullet pages in between weeks. This is not a journal but a cheap and rather sparse planner. There are many pages included that are not useful. The app, supposedly included in a 'membership' is trash. They do not allow neutral or negative comments about the product, even for a suggestion. In addition, even with being deeply disappointed and wanting to cancel my 3 months, they would NOT allow a refund or a return. This was after several emails where they kept delaying my response. Remember, the owner is into marketing, not selling anything useful. These are steeply priced and not worth the cost. In addition, the digital is just as much as the paper journal.

Subpar product, terrible company.

Subpar product, terrible company. They knowingly use sneaky tactics to lock you into a subscription renewal (with zero notification of upcoming renewal). They charge 3x for the renewal (for the same product), then refuse to acknowledge why any of these are shady practices and or offer a refund.

Dont honor cancellation when made almost a year in advance

I canceled last year under a separate email address even though i only had one account. Because the emails didn't line up, my cancelation was ignored and I was given ver batim response i received last year about not being able to provide refund because it's a small women owned business and I should share the journals instead. I did exactly that for a full year and was recharged and given the same run around. As a small woman run business would expect more appreciation of your female customers and not verbatim responses that don't help and price gauge. unfortunately I will be leaving bad reviews which will likely hurt the small woman owned business much more than giving me my money back when I canceled a full year earlier and gave away a full year of journals I did not use or like.

Deceitful company

This company scammed me. I paid for a membership in June 2024. After receiving several months of planners, I called to cancel as I was not using them. When I requested canceling my membership, they told me that that was not necessary and that they would continue sending me planners regardless. They did not indicate that they would then charge me again in June 2025 for a new yearly membership. When I saw the charge on my credit card statement, I email them and requested that they credit my Visa as I had not authorized the charge. They refused. I have made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and have begun the dispute process with my credit card company.

Awful to get any help

Awful to get any help. Like someone else said I was never prompted to set up an account so I set up an account I wrote down my password and then when I tried to get in, I could not so I requested a password reset it took three days for them to get back to my original message And then they promised they would send a reset password link. A day later and multiple request. I still am unable to reset my password but I was able to cancel my membership and I have the email saved with their response saying that my membership will be canceled as of May 2026. We will see if they try to charge me if so, I can just go to my credit card company with that email and get it refunded the app seems a little bit cultish to me. I still haven’t gotten my first book. I was told I would get it before the next month but now it’s not arriving until next week. Not really helpful.

These guys are scammers.

They promised my mother they would cancel her subscription and didn't. When she was charged again, for an ENTIRE YEAR of things she has not received yet! They claim they cannot refund her any part of her money. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE PEOPLE.
