Very reasonably priced and well worth it for peace of mind where hiring cars are concerned! Fortunately I didn't need to make a claim so I cannot vouch for how good this company would be should I have needed it. However, I did purchase this insurance based on the review score on Trustpilot.

It's difficult to review an insurance company when a claim hasn't been made but I was very satisfied with my experience as far as it went.
The premium was very reasonable, the cover comprehensive & documentation clear. I particularly liked their useful email received, just before returning my car, with things to check & do before returning.
I'd happily use the company again.

I cannot recommend enough. From buying the policy which has really easy and quick to do to actually making a claim.
Unfortunately I had to claim due to someone leaving a very nice long deep scratch down the side of my hire car! I knew I had cover for the excess but was worried about if would cover this, what sort of long drawn out process would I go through to get my claim resolved. I needn’t have worried, once home, I submitted the claim and was all sorted within a couple of days, no hassle, no quibble just straight forward.
I would however do exactly as stated on the emails they send, definitely take photos before you drive off. Keep every piece of paperwork as you will need it for your claim.
Will definitely be using everytime I hire a car. Peace of mind motoring, especially in a foreign country.

Purchase process was simple and policy seemed to be good value for money.
Fortunately no need to claim…which is the acid test for an insurer so 5* only relates to arranging the policy. I did note that other reviewers had positive experience when making claims.

Fortunately, I didn't need to use the excess cover for my recent hire car journey. I found the whole process quick and simple to set up, and the price competitive. I appreciated the follow-up emails that are sent, giving helpful advice and tips. Even though it's all automated, I did find the after-sales care very prominent.

Reasonably priced car hire excess insurance. I didn't have to claim, but I checked the reviews by those who did and there was a high degree of satisfaction. Communication was excellent before, during and after the hire period, with useful reminders. This insurance saved a considerable amount of money over the Car Hire companies rates, but I still had peace of mind. One thing to note, I understand the simply-excess insurance doesn't cover damage to the interior. The car I hired had sweat marks on two of the seats, so I took date-stamped pictures as soon as I noticed and emailed these to the company as proof it wasn't me. All-in-all, an excellent policy and the company doesn't outsource claims - something to watch for elsewhere.

Very efficient, good value for money and plenty of really useful advice both before going and after handing back the car.

I took out a policy for a short trip to Spain, SimplyExcess offered a competitive price and although I didn’t have to claim I appreciated the tips offered prior to my trip and on again for preparing to return the vehicle.

Simple renewal process, with a discount for early renewal. This is my second year with this company. I have not made a claim so I have no experience of how that would be dealt with. The renewal price was competitive hence why I renewed with this company.

Easy to book. Fair & reasonable price. Good communication. And best of all, we didn’t need to claim. 😊

Excellent service. Did exactly what is said. Thankfully didn't need to us it but saved us around £100 as the car rental people asked if we wanted excess cover which was over £100. Great Customer service

I recently took out excess insurance with Simply Excess and ended up needing to use it after causing a small dent on the back of a rental car. The claims process was quick and hassle-free, and I had my full reimbursement in under a week. Great service!
