Trees may occasionally have structural pruning performed during normal grower/nursery production or handling. This type of pruning is a common horticultural practice and does not impact the long-term health or growth of the tree when properly planted and cared for.
That said, we understand that expectations can vary. After you shared your concerns, our leadership team reviewed the situation and chose to resolve the matter by issuing a full refund.
Simply Trees ships thousands of live plants nationwide each year, and our team works carefully to prepare plants for safe transport and successful establishment once planted. We always aim to review concerns thoughtfully and resolve them fairly when they arise.

I purchased plants from Simply Trees based on the beautiful website photos showing full, vibrant, healthy flowering plants. Unfortunately, what I received did not survive / arrived in poor condition and looked nothing like the quality being advertised.
When I contacted customer service, after a lot of back and forth, they offered a replacement under their guarantee, but required an additional $19.95 shipping fee. After already paying over $100 for plants that failed, I did not feel it was reasonable to pay again to correct the issue.
The website presentation is impressive, but my actual experience did not match the marketing. Buyers should read the guarantee terms carefully and manage expectations.

As outlined in our 1-year guarantee, we offer a replacement so customers can receive a healthy plant and continue growing successfully. In your case, our team reviewed your concern and approved a replacement under the guarantee.
The $19.95 shipping fee helps cover a portion of the cost required to safely package and ship live plants. Simply Trees covers the cost of the replacement plant itself.
We understand that not every customer will feel comfortable with the replacement shipping fee, but this policy allows us to continue offering a long-term plant guarantee while shipping live plants and trees nationwide.
Our goal is always to support our customers and provide a fair resolution when concerns arise. The approved replacement plants are still available under our guarantee with the $19.95 shipping fee should you wish to proceed.

I’m so upset that my tree is dying from…
I’m so upset that my tree is dying from scale pests after just a few months of purchasing. I’ve tried everything to save it, even though I don’t have other plants that could’ve caused it. The company wouldn’t replace or refund it, they just sent me care instructions that didn’t help. It’s really disappointing to spend $300 on a plant and have it die so soon. I wish they showed more care for their customers.

We’re truly sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve had with your tree. We know how disappointing it is to invest in a plant and see it decline, and we understand your frustration.
After checking your order details, your tree was delivered in March, and we first heard from you about the scale issue on October 24th. Because this was several months after delivery, it unfortunately falls outside of our guarantee window. When pests like scale are reported right away, or shortly after arrival, we are always happy to offer a replacement or refund in line with our policy.
Scale is an airborne pest that can affect any plant at any time, even when no other plants are present, which is why early detection is so important. Once you reached out, our team provided the full set of care and treatment steps we offer to help resolve pest issues when they occur later in the plant’s life.
We always aim to support our customers as much as possible within our policy, and we’re sorry that this situation fell outside of what we’re able to cover. If you have any updated photos or questions about next steps, we’re still here and happy to guide you through any additional care options that may help your tree recover. Please send photos or questions to sales@simplytrees.com and our team will be happy to review.
The quality of the trees were amazing
The quality of the trees were amazing. The packaging was so well done that there wasn’t one single leaf that had fallen off either tree!! So happy! I would attach pictures of how gorgeous they are if I could. Great price too.

Dont use them
Dont use them. Gave them every opportunity to make thigs right, nope. They sent a damaged/diseased tree, nothing like the trademarked cultivar i ordered. Sent pics, provided information. In their perspective, i was wrong and they were right. I was supposed to accept the poor quality, incorrect tree they sent and they keep the money i paid them. If you know trees and want a quality product, do NOT purchase from them. Once you checkout, that is it, whatever they send is what you are stuck with. It does not matter if it is wrong. Read all the other reviews and consider yourself warned.

After receiving my beautiful Clementine tree I decided to purchase a Moro Blood Orange tree, and the quality is just fantastic. When I took it out of the box I thought it honestly looked fake it's so perfect. What I love most about Simply Trees is that you're getting a tall, healthy tree for a great price. On top of that it's obvious that they care about what they do and making sure their customers are happy. Very pleased with this company.
