Won't refund you for reports that don't exist or can't access

Had to do a sign-back for a rental application and they asked to use singlekey to verify my information. I used singlekey, paid for the service, etc. but, when it said the report was 'ready' I was unable to access it. I tried to get in contact with customer service but no response. 2 hours later, I did a second application through singlekey and I was finally able to access this report. I tried to get refunded for the first report because I still never received it but customer service refused. Now I have to submit this through fraud - what a headache

I’m on a cruise ship in the Caribbean

I’m on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. I’ve been trying to login to my Bosch Easy Control for a week. Bosch Technical support have been useless. I suspect the problem lies with the SingieKey Login system. I just wish SOMEONE would tell me WTF is wrong and why I cannot login.

Bad for an applicant.

Bad for an applicant. Maybe ok(skeptical from what I read) for a landlord. All applicants, including co-applicants, are forced to pay $29.99 to run a credit check needed to complete the application. Absolutely unnecessary when an applicant can send their credit file, including score, without cost.

Incompetent.

What a shockingly poor setup and customer service team.

I'd like to flag something to people who might be forced to use this system: if you digitally sign a lease through SingleKey (at least on the tenant side), when SK get around to wrapping things up on their side, they will send you an email with a link to the finalized lease. Within the text of the email, there's a note to say that the the link expires in 7 days. What it doesn't say is that once that 7 days expires, you no longer have record of that signed lease. It's not saved in your online profile. It's gone. And the great thing about that is if their email goes into your junk folder (because of course it does, SK is trash), you're SOL.

Contacting their customer service team is useless. After a week waiting, they responded to suggest signing a brand new lease. These guys are incompetent.

Excellent company

Excellent company. I used the tenant report to check on a tenant and also to check my own profile given how extensive the report was. Not sure what these poor reviews are about.

I paid for a "proof of income"…

I paid for a "proof of income" verification through this application, and it was a total scam. Without a T4, bank statement or NOA they accepted an unverified PDF of a so-called contract and essentially took it as proof of income... Not only did they not require income documents that they can verify, like a T4, NOA or bank statement. They didn't take a single step to verify the authenticiy of the contract. SingleKey fraudulently labeled the income status as “Great” without any proof or checks that I paid for as a landlord. This is misleading, irresponsible, and could cause lifechanging financial problems for landlords. Do not trust this service.

Time and money lost on another bad product

Have tried the prescreening products with three different tenants.
-Not enough info on the free tenant screening product. I ordered the paid for version which was supposed to require two rental references- where the tenant lives now and where they lived previously- but tenant only received the free version.
-Charges for the product were to be paid once the tenants had returned the info. Was charged immediately but tenant has decided not to fill out the form because they have to download an app to use it.
-I emailed Single Key 8 days ago but have yet to receive a response.
I wouldn't waste any more time with these guys- they are likely to cost you time and money for an inferior product and support

Exceptional business!

After having read the reviews and browsed through their website, I decided to use them to run a credit check on my tenant who I was considering to rent out my condo to. The products they provide are outstanding, exceeding my expectations. Profesional looking reports, and pricing is fair and transparent - definitely value for money. I highly recommend you use SingleKey if you are needing to run credit checks on your prospective tenants. I will use them again in the future.

Horrible experience

Working with SingleKey feels like you’re working with a tiny company in its infancy-stage. They haven’t figured out how to operate effectively, which leads to nonstop unnecessary frustrations for customers.

I would absolutely NOT recommend.

- Pre-sale they ‘seem’ fine to work with and they sell you a basic concept that seems good but they never go into detail on how things are actually done
- Post-sale its continuous issues with their systems, support and overall operations.

To summarize: Absolutely nothing works as it’s suppose to, there’s a major lack of efficiency, multiple back and forth emails to solve issues on their end, they’re unclear and not transparent about their platform and services, and overall highly disorganized as a company. Working with them really adds more headache to your life, versus less.

- Website? Doesn’t work.
- Update payment details? Doesn’t work.
- Email them with new info? Doesn’t work.
- Support? Doesn’t work or takes 10+ attempts to get anything broken on their end fixed…

***I initially left the below review and they reached out to me to try and “resolve” my issues and give a monthly discount if I remove the review. Since then my frustrations have only continued, so much so that I prefer to NOT get a discount, just so I can share with others my horrible experience.

- You have to send multiple emails before getting a reply
- When you get a reply it never fully answers the question, so you have to repeat the entire process
- Lease break payouts take long
-Been almost 2 months since I had a lease break and I’m still waiting to get the payout (they claim it comes within 30 days, it did not)
- Apparently my account was ‘without account manager’ for some time so I’d bounce around people and nobody knew who could help me
- Also found flaws in some of the services they provide, like LEASE BREAKS only covers 30 days instead of rest of lease or until rented again.
- And RENT COLLECTION isn’t really a service as it only sends the tenant 1 email when payment isn’t made. Then, it does nothing else. So as a landlord I have to follow up with tenant. And if tenant defaults, I have to ask SingleKey to take action on it with credit bureau etc?? I didn’t get past this to know if this is even done or not…nobody could answer me on the steps. There’s absolutely no automation in place for them to do the job they sold to me.
- Etc etc etc

I can’t understand if it’s the people lacking the knowledge/effort or the company itself lacking on all ends; really seems like the latter…but who knows. All I know is that it really shouldn’t be this difficult.

I did them the courtesy of responding to an tenant screening request, which they apparently took as permission to start spamming me. I asked them to stop, and someone reached out to me with a fake "Privacy Manager" title. Definitely a firm you'll want to avoid.
