My second tattoo at Skins and Needles in York, brilliant service again, chilled, friendly and professional. Shantella was the artist, great artist, professional, engaging, funny, the time went quickly chatting and laughing while she did my tattoo. Love it, if I decide on more I'd go back to the shop and hopefully she'd still be there.
Got symbol of the Camino de Santiago after just completing a 200 mile walk in Portugal and Spain. She's done a great job!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Skins and Needles in Middlesbrough, and I have to say that my experience was fantastic. At 49 years old, I've had plenty of tattoos over the years, but I can confidently say that Duncan is possibly the best artist I've ever met.
Duncan is not only incredibly professional but also friendly and conscientious about his work. He truly is an asset to the studio. Both my wife and I felt very welcome from the moment we walked in. Duncan took the time to offer great advice, and I could tell he genuinely cared about making sure I was happy with the design and the process.
I’m currently in the early stages of a full torso piece, and even in its early form, his work is already outstanding. What impressed me most was his organisation and the fact that he clearly loves what he does. It’s rare to find an artist who is as dedicated to getting things right as Duncan.
So many tattoo artists I've worked with in the past seem to rush through things or just slap something on you without much thought. Duncan is different. He made sure I was completely happy with everything before we proceeded, and he genuinely made me feel like he had my best interests at heart. The finished piece was simply amazing, and I won’t go to anyone else as long as he’s working at Skins and Needles.
From now on, I’ll always request Duncan for any future tattoos. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence make him the kind of artist you can trust completely.

So far so good, I haven't had my tattoo yet, but I came in to speak to someone at the ingelby branch, a bit disappointed I couldn't just pay with card, I had to buy a voucher first to pay my deposit. Not the end of the world but card is easier for me. Also when we were in there it was a hot day and we weren't even getting a tattoo and could barely stand in there for 10 minutes talking. It was way to hot in there for us. Definitely needs air con in there.

appauling service at the Middlesbrough branch. piercer was rude and unhelpful. they dropped my earring TWICE and picked it off the floor before fitting it.
i came here based on so many reccomendations, but the female piercer that was reccomended (Kym) has left and the staff refused to teel me where she has moved to. i wish i had walked out.

I had an excellent experience with Skins and Needles from the very first contact. I was advised that Katie would be happy to help me create the perfect design and that is what she did. Katie took time to listen to what I wanted and gave me advice when she felt it necessary. She wasn’t pushy and nothing felt like too much trouble to her. On the day of the tattoo Katie put me at ease, gave me reassurance and created the most perfect tattoo on my thigh. She was as gentle, offered me breaks as and when I needed them and between us we didn’t stop talking all day. It was a pleasure to lie in my side for 6 hours!!

I had my forearm tattooed by kieron at the ingleby studio. He was absolutely brilliant and exceeded all expectations.

went to Durham waiting room a mess should be immaculate, one female tattooist had derogative political remarks and commented on a website that great tattoos come from, her education with black cover up was minimal typical numpty who upset me, i served my country for there tripe, just as well they give me my deposit back or it could have got very ugly for them.

Had ears pierced, left ear fell out after less than a week, went back and had it replaced although you were going to charge me and it fell out again within a week.
Asked for a refund as don't want it pierced by same person again and was told no, awful piercing and not good customer service

Great experience very pleased with my arm piece and thank you to loz for creating a beautiful piece. Lovely welcoming staff 100% will be returning
