SKY GLASS IS RUBBISH

If you have sky don't change to sky glass, its rubbish. Mine keeps turning off mid programe, its so annoying, and the coverage around the house is bad, I have to.open.my bedroom door so the tv will work 0 out of 10

Sky glass tv has too many restrictions…

Sky glass tv has too many restrictions for something I bought and own. Not allowing android phones to connect. The control they have on the tv is too invasive and cannot be controlled. I left after contract was up and only use it with my xbox, i dont ever connect the tv anymore. I dont see myself using sky ever again. Too expensive for basics. I still get them begging me to come back with cheap 20 euro per month deals knowing its only going to last a few months and back to ridiculous billing and control. Nah. Sorry sky, once bitten, twice shy.

I've had sky stream and glass for…

I've had sky stream and glass for around 1 week and tbh the whole system is terrible. I will phone in the morning and cancel because I'm still in my 31 day cooling off period !!!
keeps glitching , quality is terrible , don't even bother if you want to watch live sport ..... you miss half the games and commentary is not in speed with the footage!!!
you also can't record and it works on a separate system to sky q so you lose all use of the other boxes!!!!
worst product I've ever had from sky !!!

Absolutely awful.

Absolutely awful. I wish I’d never signed up but was left with little choice really as sky put my sky Q bill up to well over £100 a month for the basic package. I was told the only way to bring the bill down would be to sign up for glass. I’m still paying an extortionate amount a month for a tv that constantly glitches, loses WiFi signal, randomly puts up subtitles that take up half the screen. You can’t record anything just the option of adding to playlist but you can only watch once the program has been added to the streaming apps…. Forwarding adverts glitches constantly and takes forever. Avoid at all costs. I’m tied into an agreement. As soon as it’s over I’ll be telling sky where to go.

This was a total MISTAKE!!!!

This was a total MISTAKE!!!!! Do NOT get a Sky Glass!!!!!!!

You will loose the ability to record anything. If you are interested in any live event, you can't record it and can't watch it!

The software is terrible, it crashes! I have had to do a full re-set 14 times in 2 months! Also, it randomly turns on subtitles. It's total crap!

The search function is totally useless! Voice command works sometimes.

If you want to totally destroy your home viewing and entertainment experience, you should get a Sky Glass!!!! What a total joke!!

Owned for many years.

Owned for many years.
A fantastic TV if you stay with sky, have no problems, want restricted channels.
Outside that awful customer service if it goes wrong, (after 3 years I have left sky and continue with issues)
Connects after multiple times.
All said and done great picture and sound but you could buy a far superior TV for a fraction of the cost that's not tied to the rip off Conglomerate that is sky for a fraction of the price

Absolutely horrendous my sky glass tv lasted months so sky ordered a brand new sky glass tv and guess what that's broken due to a software malfunction awful been with them for 14 years sky glass tv is absolutely shite

The search engine is awefull, Absolute rubbish'

The search engine is awefull, Continually freezing, Programmes get lost halfway through viewing. I am committed to 2 years on a contract but will get rid of it the day it runs out. Sky have scored an own goal with this system, It is dreadful.

This is the worst tv I have ever…

This is the worst tv I have ever purchased. Constantly losing WiFi signal on 1GB broadband. Nothing else in the house drops signal. Having to reset the tv constantly due to technical errors where programmes simply won’t load. The picture quality is dreadful at best, grey and washed out. Dark scenes are a car crash with the tv trying to process the picture that just turns into a patchy mess. Genuinely I cannot say anything good about this tv. I thought my expectations were too high but when it went off again this morning with “technical problem” I’ve had enough. What a big money loss, but I’ve ordered a premium tv coming tomorrow. My wife would normally object to ordering a large ticket item when we already have one. Her reaction “thank goodness for that, I can’t cope with that thing anymore”. Stay away from sky glass, I wish I followed others advice at the time of purchase.

Would not recommend sky glass

Would not recommend sky glass been with sky for years. Had sky glass it just all of a sudden turned to lines while I was watching it, after 3 years. I’ve had other tvs last longer than this. When you call sky they don’t want to help as it’s not under warranty, even though you’re a long serving customer. I’ve now cancelled my sky tv as I tend to watch everything on catch up anyway.

Purchased after a few beers

Purchased after a few beers! However here’s my review. Been using for about 6 months now.
Positives:
Great picture quality
Sound pretty good
Tidy - all in one and no dish
Been pretty solid in terms of reliability (I do have 1Gb sky internet - which is super reliable)

Negatives:
You’re getting locked in to sky and paying for the pleasure (they used to give you the box!)
The tv is expensive for the level of tv you get, much cheaper options out there.
The interface is probably the worst part, takes some getting used to. I’m older & more a terrestrial tv watcher so maybe not so relevant as you get a lot of new programs / series surfaced on lots of different apps. Getting there, but still a bit longer winded than sky Q. Godsend is just pressing the microphone button on the remote and asking what you want. :)

Sky Glass - do not purchase!

Been with sky for over 16years spending over £100 a month on subscription and services , bought sky glass , within a year the sound went , they replaced the Tv , gone again - 3 weeks after the warranty was up - same issue , the sound , won’t replace - wanted £324 for a new Tv , customer service rubbish , do not buy sky glass , it is a known problem with this Tv . Cancelled with them today .

Yet again sky glass fails to deliver,
Channels dropped off guide ,again for hours,
Service errors all the time,
Would I purchase sky glass ,to be honest No,
Keep your terrestrial tv going as Sky clearly,
Can not give the service they promised.
And you get no apologies from them.
The only way forward is for people to give poor reviews.
Numbers count…..
Also to advise other people on steering away from sky glass service.

Sky what a load of bleep bleep bleep

Don't get sky glass. I would give it 0 if i could. The tv stops all through the day, tv says no Internet connection and I know it's connected by my phone.
It's always happen when your really enjoying a film.
As for the programmes, near enough all repeats, or if your like me and up through the night, it's all teleshopping. And us mugs pay for it.

Sky glass is a massive downgrade from sky q.
You cannot record programs hugely annoying!! Meaning for example, if you want to watch a movie you have to watch it live, if you dont and its not 'available' you have to pay for the movie in the store. rip off!!
I watch a lot of rugby union, if you don't watch it live it takes them 24 hours for it to be available to view, awful service!
The only way to search is by voice, which half the times fails to understand you, very frustrating.
So to the good points...........
