Communicative, friendly and efficient; a very good experience. Had 14 PV panels, battery, and EV charger installed two weeks ago. Andy spent time on the phone to understand what I needed and answer my questions on the pros and cons of various options. The team turned up promptly on the day of the install and got it done in one day. They were friendly and did a tidy job, cleaning up carefully when finished.

I would advise caution to anyone considering Skylar. Maybe growing pains but their sales team are very pushy, difficult to deal with and will say anything to get your deposit, after that communication drops and once the survey is booked they’re only interested in the easiest and cheapest way to install, regardless of what was agreed at order. I chose them after doing lots of research and reading online recommendations, they can clearly do good work but have perhaps lost their way as demand has increased and they’ve grown. A real shame… and a very unpleasant experience. Approach with caution. The good news is there are hardworking, passionate and excellent installers out there, sadly, in my experience Skylar are not one of them.

I reached out to Skylar Solar because I trusted a recommendation from the YouTuber “Gary Does Solar.” From the very first conversation I made it clear I had another quote and wanted to compare options. Rather than focus on Skylar’s system, pricing, warranties, timeline, and installation details, the representative spent time finding faults with the competing company. That felt defensive and unprofessional.

I also told them I wasn’t simply shopping for the cheapest option — I wanted an honest, thorough presentation so I could make an informed decision. Instead, I felt pressured and dismissed when I asked straightforward questions. For a substantial investment of around £20K, I expected transparency, respect for my process, and factual answers about their strengths — not an effort to discredit competitors.

Because of this experience I decided to take my business elsewhere. I cannot recommend Skylar Solar based on how their team handled my inquiry. My advice to anyone considering them: get multiple quotes, ask for written details about warranties and timelines, and pay attention to how the salesperson responds when you say you’re comparing options.

I just do not understand why would not Gary review his recommendations list by the companies customer feedbacks.

Having already put in a complaint about this company they then called me and said it was my fault that a service wasn’t done so no service at all in 2023 I was mis sold for a 10 year plan when I was untitled to free servicing .
I then emailed to cancel the contract and yet again no response !

They installed solar panel for us. From start to finish they have done a fantastic job. I have been informed for what is going on and I definitely recommend them to others. I wish they had some sort of promotion so any costumers come from happy costumers they could earn something ( new costumer and old happy costumer’s). Anyway thank you for great business.

I did my research and felt that Skylar were the best company to install my solar panel system. I was contacted the day after making the initial enquiry by a helpful sales executive. He prepared a written quote which included a full breakdown of the costs and equipment that would be installed. The document showed how the system would generate electric with potential/projected savings. Great advice was also provided. I agreed to the installation and an appointment was made for a survey. Following the survey scaffolding was erected by appointment. I was contacted by Devon and Paynton from administration who were both helpful and friendly. They arranged a convenient installation date and were very flexible. I had to rearrange the installation twice due to roadworks in my Road. The admin team were really flexible and a date was agreed. The installation team arrived as agreed and installed the system within the day. They were friendly and worked hard to install system. Their work was great and they installed the system neatly and on completion they showed me the ShinePhone app and helped me to log in and explained its features. They left my house clean and tidy and removed all of the packaging. The system works really well and I am completely satisfied. I would not hesitate in recommending Skylar Solar.

After agreeing the system and price (after a lot of research and comparing), the team were brilliant, a surveyor came out to check the roof and measure up to ensure the proposed system would fit and check where the meter and fuse box was etc.
After that, the scaffolding was erected by appointment and two days later the panels and the rest of the system was installed.
It was a little more time consuming to install than the engineers expected but when they left everything was connected and working.
The engineers work really hard and clean away all the packing as they go.
The aftercare team of Devon and Payton are ace. The communication was excellent and I was only asked for payment after I confirmed that I was happy with the install.
I would recommend Skylar to friends and family without any worries.
Customer service is clearly very important to this company.

Got the 7.6kwh pv panels on my roof, a hybrid inverter and 3 battery installed in a day. This is a wow 👌. Then all the paper work and certificates arrived earlier than expected. Thank you Devon!

What a thing to start the day with. The skylar team called me as a request I raised for an ad that popped up on Facebook. The team was asking me to sign the contract with them before they can send anyone to my house to do a survey! Not sure how on earth this could work!! What shocked me more that the sales person was explaining to me that this is how they are used to doing it for the last 5 years and they never faced an issue with that with anyone!!! This is the first time I hear that you can buy such an expensive thing based on virtual view and personal opinion!!!
I’m not impressed at all

These guys fitted a complete solar panels system at our house. The process was easy from the survey to the installation. The Electrician and fitters were professional arrived on time and finished the entire job within the day. I would thoroughly recommend Skylar to anyone who wants to get s solar system installed
