Let's be clear the SMILE GENERATION FEE SCHEDULE is a gimmick created by a corporation in order to trick their customers into thinking they are getting a discount.
After your initial visit the office manager approaches you and presents you with a personalized estimate on the cost of the work that is needed. It's important to note that your perceived cost is associated with the UCF Price. This price could be what the average charge of a particular procedure would be in that area or what the reasonable rate of the the surgeon that will be performing the procedure would be. It's not stated clearly. But what is clear is the UCF price is arbitrary. The SMILE GENERATION FEE SCHEDULE DOES NOT have a UCF PRICE. Its for this reason that their is no real savings. Their is only a perceived discount.
Another deceptive practice on the SMILE GENERATION FEE SCHEDULE is that all prices for all procedures are for what a general dentist would charge. Unfortunately most of the procedures on the schedule can only be performed by a specialist. When your presented your estimate this information is not revealed and if you are not given the actual FEE SCHEDULE you won't be able to question the price discrepancy. This is why I believe that you are pressed to sign off on the estimated cost immediately.
The SMILE GENERATION FEE SCHEDULE may believe that their victims have no recourse but they are wrong. I was able to get back over 5k uncontested. It took five months and all of my dentists notes to figure out but I was able to point out instances of overcharging, unnecessary charges, and using inappropriate codes when deciding what to charge as well as an instance of fraud. That is charging me for labor that was labeled as a "misc. Product" then changed to a "misc. Procedure" when I pressed them for a written description it was changed again to a labor charge. When I demanded this in writing the office cut me a check for $1741.
One point of the SMILE GENERATION FEE SCHEDULE THAT I think could be an avenue of liability on their part is the fact that a $119 fee is charged in order to sign up for this policy. You are presented an estimate that you are told is derived from the SMILE GENERATION FEE SCHEDULE. You are shown your perceived discount associated with the SMILE GENERATION FEE SCHEDULE. IN my case if was a 20 percent discount for a total of around $10,600. But I was able to confirm only 20 percent of the perceived savings came directly from the SMILE GENERATION FEE SCHEDULE. The remaining $8480 in perceived savings actually came from the declared 20 percent discount that my surgeon offered off his reasonable rate. His rate was always more than what the SMILE GENERATION FEE SCHEDULE notes but that is because their price is what a general dentist would charge. But like I pointed out, a general dentist could never perform most of these procedures. I think a customer would have cause to ask for their $119 to be refunded if only 20 percent of what is discounted come from the SMILE GENERATION FEE SCHEDULE.
I could go on about my particulars but I hope I've madey point. Stay away from this corporation .
What a terrible company
What a terrible company. After a year of paying my minimum balance I was just hit with over $1,000 interested fee erasing any payments I’ve made. I am beyond myself and disgusted with this company. This honestly feels illegal. To be told by a service rep that at the beginning someone “should have told me” is unacceptable. Please don’t use this company they make it sounds so easy and great and then you get completely screwed!!!!!!!!
Bait and switch
Bait and switch. Offer a $59 new patient exam, x-rays, and cleaning, then refuse to do anything less than a $1000 planing and scaling. Prices are higher than others, so the "discount" just brings them down to what they would be anyway, and unnecessary services are pushed or even required for service.
Absolute SCAM do not use them
Absolute SCAM do not use them, “18 month interest free” but it accrues stool and then they’ll set you up with auto pay that won’t pay it off in that time period and then slap you with all the interest ($1500) and then you’re screwed. Stay away
The Bellevue office
The Bellevue office is very professional, courteous and friendly. All my dental needs at one location. They went into great detail presenting my current situation and offering alternatives. I trust them.

sometimes it is hard and we get a credit line to take care of our health. Smile Generation is beyond a SCAM... they are horrible and they take advantage of people. My balance was $2,500 and I Was hit with $3,000 interest. Never was I informed my plan was about to expired. Now I owe more than I originally borrowed. This seems so illegal.
Highly predatory.
After the 2 year interest free time ended, they put all of the interest back on my balance. I started with a $2000 balance. Got down to $350. The next month my balance was $1500. I feel like this is a very predatory credit line. It doesn't seem right to charge the entire amount of interest rather than interest on what was still owed. I finally was able to talk to a person after spending what seemed like a ridiculous amount of time trying to connect with someone only to have her tell me I'm burnt and had nothing else to say. She came across like she knows she's working for a crooked business by her silence during the call. Seems like the balance doesn't ever go down either.

I wish I could give a negative star instead of a one star. My son was seen at this office for over a year for his dental care and it has been very draining and taxing on my time and pocket. When I questioned his care based on his maturity and treatment progress the doctor said, “Some 7 year olds are mature to go through the process”. I don’t care about anyone else but my son’s care. My son did not have a cleaning for almost a year because the focus was on Ortho instead of both. I had to take him elsewhere to get his teeth cleaned/examined and was informed that a few of his spacers are about to fall out with his baby teeth. My son has been a trooper during this whole process and deserves to be in a pediatric dental office that can handle one on one care instead of an assembly line approach to care, where everyone is listening to your business in a big open area. I spent almost $3k to be dissatisfied with treatment and care over the last year. Stay away from this Ortho/Dental office for children. I truly hope that Monica (front office staff) find another dental office to work. Monica was the only positive reason I lasted this long on the pediatric side of this business. I was not going to write a review but today I have had enough. I requested for the doctor to remove his braces, she started and then went to check on two other clients instead of completing our service before moving to the next client, especially since I informed her of how dissatisfied I am and I just want to leave the office as quickly as possible to move on. I have already accepted my financial loss and have moved on. I refuse to pay money and don’t get proper treatment and care. Lesson learned!!! Next time I will make sure to ask questions and assess how the workplace operates before I select the next pediatric office. No more assembly line care for my son. Save yourself time and money….

These people are thieves, criminals with ties, they steal your money, the page did not let me make a payment, it only let me the next day and they charged me $30 for late payment and they did not want to replace it

In my opinion, the system and services are horrible. Above all, I think the office manager should learn how to have human relations. I think her name is Kendall, she treated me as she was giving me a bit of attitude when I arrived and apart from that she spoke to me in a somewhat raised tone. I don't think that's professional and the payment is too expensive. I think they should have better staff and learn how to treat people. The office is the one located at midtown please 🙏 check the reviews before you go there thanks

I was enrolled in their automatic billing to learn just recently that there are two types of billing — "scheduled billing" and "automatic billing." I was on "scheduled billing" and apparently was set up only to make six payments. When it stopped last month, I was charged a $37 late fee. I called to let them know they set me up on auto-pay and found this out. When I said I thought all was set up (over the phone by their own employees when I first set up my account, may I add), the person on the phone said it was a seperate billing type.
I escalated the situation, and a couple of supervisors came up, they kept saying it was "company policy" and couldn't issue a full refund. In fact, they said the other dept charges $9 per transaction just to take a payment over the phone. The different departments and different billing styles without letting their customers know what isn't actually happening until they are charging them for it is totally absurd and just terrible business practice. Beware of their shady ways of handling your payments!

I signed up through my dentist and no one ever told me it was a promotional plan nor that I would be hit with the full interest if not paid in time. I paid my bill on 9/26, no where on the website it did tell me my plan would expire on 9/28/24. I was completely blind sided to recieve a interest charge on 10/22. Tried to call to have it reconiciled on 10/25 and no one would help me. I offered to pay the orginal balance in full. Pleaded and did everything humanly possible. They did not care. The clearly have a script on how to handle a complaint like this and its intentionally how they screw over their clients.
The website only shows you what they want you to see. Monies available, balance and payment.
Nothing about promotional plans expiring. Avoid at all costs.
1st visit
1st visit was okay. There was no explanation of details what the visit entailed including details of xrays. New technology with xrays and cost was never discussed. I also was not given the opportunity to Review my xrays with the provider. They just told me details of issues only. Very disappointing including a bill for $508.00 for the fancy technology of exrays, which was never discussed. I was also charged for my annual check up. I will not return, to the expected cost of over $3126.00, not including the xrays for $508.00. Extremely disappointed.
Greed over ADA Guidelines
Went to one of their locations called “Brookridge Dentistry”.
I had a terrible experience at Brookridge Dental. I went in for a standard dental cleaning, but they refused to perform it. Instead, they insisted I needed a Scaling & Planing procedure, which would cost me $800. I made it clear that I couldn’t afford such an expensive procedure, but they still refused to do the general cleaning I requested. This refusal to provide a basic service clearly shows their greed. I will be reporting their refusal to my insurance company and the state dental boards. Avoid this place if you value your time and money!
Poorly designed teeth
I told them the teeth they made for me were crooked and that I did not like them. They talked me into trying them for a week or so . So I am but I do not like them at all. They are not aligned properly if there was a way to upload a picture I would.
Great surgeon and team
Great surgeon and team! I’m a retired Dentist but if I was still practicing, I would be referring all my patients to him. My wife, who was the patient, is a retired nurse and would highly recommend him also.
I’m on Medicare and we received a level of care that is hard to find. All senior citizens on Medicare should go to Dr. Pratt for their oral surgical needs.
