if i could give a negative 5 i would. never send a firearm to s/w performance center to be repaired, i have a 686 pistol there going past 6 months for a small part which i asked them if i could provide it if they would just install it.they took my money without second thought, but seem to forget to repair the gun. customer service on the phone do not know what day it is, let alone what type of gun you have sent in. if you want the run around call them, you will get it. my advice is find a good gunsmith and take to them. i am a ffl , i will not sell s/w anymore, i will not recommend s/w to anyone. they kept the springfield repair open, moved production to maryville tn, they call it the performance center in springfield which consist of a few gunsmiths and a few parts changers. so either they are producing a lot of bad guns and are backlogged or they clearly do not know how to repair and get a gun back to a paying customer.
