Smith Benedict dropped me as a client because their off‑plan insurance ran out. This forced me to pay £1,377 to move to another solicitor and redo all the paperwork from scratch.

None of this was my fault. The right thing to do would have been to refund any fees I had already paid, but no refund was offered. Instead, I was left with extra costs and wasted time.

Very disappointing service.

Three other legal firms I approached for help were only interested in selling me a complete package costing upwards of £1500. Evie, however, listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly the help I needed i.e. casting her expert eye over the paperwork I had done and just charging me for an hour of her time.
