If I could give this no stars I would

I’m 20 years old and have experience playing at multiple professional clubs growing up and had the privilege of playing against sides such as Leicester City, Aston Villa and Liverpool and after a lengthy recovery from a knee surgery thought this “opportunity” was too good to be true.

I can tell you now, if you’re over the age of 17 they are not interested in you one bit. You’re there to make up the numbers and pose a challenge to the younger players.

They really do sell you the dream. Don’t buy into it like I did. They had a presentation before the session and had the audacity to tell everyone that we’d be playing in front of crowds of more than a hundred thousand week in, week out with such confidence it was honestly embarrassing…

They then pitted all the older lads against all the younger lads in small matches. By younger I mean 15 year old children…I’m a 20 year old man. Am I meant to start bashing into kids half my size? I’m not sure how you can judge someone’s physical ability when they’re playing against literal children. After that it told me everything I needed to know about the agenda of this “trail day” right there and then. I was a puppet for the rest of the session. They didn’t even ask anyone what position they played so everyone got an equal chance to show off their strengths. They just wanted to see how the kids got on against us.

If I’m being honest it’s disgraceful how you claim to help athletes from 15-23 because that’s clearly not true. You’re really catered to 15-17 year olds but that way you won’t make anywhere near as much money so you have to manipulate people aged 18-23 into giving you their hard earned money by selling them this elaborate dream while leaving out all the fine print. I had no idea I would be turning up to do a mixed session with a bunch of kids. When I arrived I thought I must be at the wrong place.

All in all I basically paid £100 for an energy gel and to deal with cocky little kids who think they will be the next Messi but in reality will be asking me what sauce I want with my chicken selects 3 years down the line. At least the 7 people who didn’t turn up to the “session” still have their dignity.

If you can’t run a fair session with separate age groups, or don’t get the numbers you need, you shouldn’t be running anything at all. Instead of taking advantage of people.

It was a great experience and I really enjoyed it, Instructions were very clear and all the drills were fun and helpful very happy to be a part of the programme

Every member of the soccer assist team was very nice and really gave everyone their space to stand out!
They are incredible and explained evrything very clearly.
Big shoutout to Sophie Reynolds on the soccer assist team because she in particularly made sure i was up to date with everything!

My son really enjoyed the day and selection process. The day was very well planed and organised. It was professional and informative before , during and after the trails. I feel my son is in good hands and hope the partnership with Soccer Assist continues to grow and be successful

Ever since the beginning of the process, all members of the Soccer Assist team have been honest and transparent. They have been able to answer all questions we have about the process and everything involved in the scholarship program which has given us comfort and confidence. My parents and I are extremely satisfied with our experiences with them and are looking forward to continuing to work with Soccer Assist.

The trial didn’t encourage me to do my best and the coaches decided to put me in a position I was not comfortable in which didn’t allow me to show my abilities at all whilst everyone else was put in a position they were comfortable in

Very well run session. Professional and fun together and highly competitive. Would recommend to someone who is serious about their football and wants to progress to the US.

Great group of guys (players) + the soccer assist team made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Then with the actual trial, the drills and warm ups were effective and applied straight to our game at the end. Overall 10/10

very well structured, and thoroughly enjoyable session. Coaches friendly and very communicative, we'd certainly attend further sessions if invited to do so.

The coaches are friendly and supportive during the trial. The communication from them to us presenting the tasks was great as they made sure we understood the assignment. Highly recommend them to friends and family.

All the crew were really friendly and made it clear what was going on, doing their best to make everyone feel comfortable and reduce nerves/stress. The drills were fun and high energy and the whole experience was generally low stress/ having fun. The crew were super supportive and helpful, all in all a great experience.

Had a well planned training session despite low numbers. It’s a great opportunity to get assessed and to find out what areas of your game you need to work on as well.

Everyone Ive spoken to was very friendly and always able to answer any questions that I had.
