Total Scam! Unauthorized $269 Charge for Wrong Items
SCAM ALERT: Predatory Television Bait-and-Switch Targeting Seniors
Review Title: Total Scam! Unauthorized $269 Charge for Wrong Items (SodaLean / PrimeDiscountGoods)
Review: Do not trust this company! They are running a predatory bait-and-switch operation targeting vulnerable senior citizens through television advertisements.
My 73-year-old father saw a TV ad offering 6 bottles of prostate support supplements for $39.00. He placed the order, but the company immediately charged his card $269.00 without his authorization. To make matters worse, they sent confirmation emails with absolutely no tracking numbers, no invoice breakdown, and no customer service contact information.
When the package arrived, it did not contain the prostate supplements he ordered. Instead, they shipped weight loss pills and diet patches. My father is a thin man recovering from a stroke—he has zero use for diet pills. This is a deliberate, malicious scam designed to trick elderly people, take their money, and ship them worthless, unrelated inventory.
They operate under multiple confusing business names, including SodaLean and PrimeDiscountGoods.com, to hide from banks and law enforcement. There are already over 1,000 scam reports online against them for this exact hidden overcharge behavior.
We have already shut down his credit card, filed a fraud dispute with our financial institution, and reported them to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the State Attorney General for elder financial abuse.
STAY AWAY from SodaLean adoing business as PrimeDiscountGoods.com! Tell your elderly parents and relatives to never buy anything from their TV commercials.
