Very shady company

Very shady company, advertise like it is an all natural, whole food meal service but uses emulsifiers, hydrogenated corn starch, and many other ingredients which make many of the meals 100% classified as ultra processed foods. Many frozen meals you can buy at the supermarket are less processed than some of the Soulara meals, especially the bangers and mash and the mushroom stroganoff. Yes, these ingredients are legal and safe in small amounts but having ultra processed meals designed to be eaten daily for lunch and dinner and then marketed to people looking to improve their health is very very shady! If I saw the ingredients before ordering I never would have bought them, but the advertising is very different to what they actually are and I fell for it

The foods are very hit and miss in terms of taste. The lasagne and teriyaki bowl tasted good, however the “Dreamy fettuccine” I got was one of the most disgusting, inedible meals I’d ever tasted, and the mushroom stroganoff was also straight up disgusting. As well, a lot of the ingredients are very cheap, and not veg heavy enough at all, but rather bulked up a lot with cheap carbs like pasta and white rice.

Also did not deliver when they said they would, support incorrectly told me they would be coming a full week after my initial delivery date, then they came randomly during the week, the delivery driver was also really rude and threatening because he’d struggled to find my house.

I felt like this service was a borderline scam based on my experience, and seeing the ingredients lists was the cherry on top. I don’t know how they’re able to advertise as “gut healthy” when they actively use ultra processed ingredients that have been linked to IBS through multiple studies!

Many yummy meals suitable for those with corn allergies!

My husband and I both have chronic conditions that cause fatigue, so being able to simply heat a yummy pre-prepared meal at the end of the day, when our batteries are on the red is a huge relief. I contacted Soulara as my husband has corn allergies and I noticed quite a few meals do have some form of corn in them. They got back to me straight away and assured me many meals are corn-free and on a second look, I was able to find lots of nutritious meals suitable for both me and my husband and look forward to their arrival!

Been ordering from soulara for a while…

Been ordering from soulara for a while they are the best vegan food delivery service, we had a mix up with our orders and they resolved the issue straight away without question very good customer service and I’ll continue to buy from them for a long time

Soulara great service, fantastic food.

The meals were delivered on time, put in the shade and well protected with two big ice blocks and a cooler cover inside the box.
I’ve really enjoyed the flavour packed meals and great portion size, I like a good size meal and the medium works well for me.
So glad I tried Soulara and I’ll be ordering more, it’s so good to have healthy, tasty, vegan meals delivered, ready to heat and eat!

Only got 2/3 of my order in the box

I ordered and paid for 12 meals. They have sent me 8...

Can't even be bothered to flesh this review out.
Will update if I receive a response from their customer service. I have contacted them through all their available details, and yet to get any response.

Meals are very tasty

Meals are very tasty. Easy to heat up and delivery very smooth. There is a nice variety of choices and some nice and spicy.

I’ve tried a few meal service but Soulara are the best.
I like how they have specific packs that are tailored to different needs. Great company. Wonderful idea for busy people.

Highly recommend

Nothing natural or ethical about this brand 0 zero stars 🌟. Please accept feed back and change the quality ad it's terrible instead of gaslighting customers and pretending 😑 it's all good 👍 cause everything you stand for is highly un ethical and not kosher. Shame on you all for miss leading hard working Aussies

Barely no Australian local ingredients

Disgusting dry and bland food with ingredients mainly from cheap Asian countrys and not using all Australian local supporting farmers products also i saw chemical colouring and numbers in 1 of the packaging so NOT healthy at all food was Disgusting and bland !! I'll try garden of Eden local organic meals that are more cheaper too!!

Flavour and Options continue going downhill

Used to love Soulara meals, but won't be ordering them anymore. Meal options have barely changed over the last 18 months, and the last order I had all you could taste was the pepper they had put in the meals.

Good to keep on hand for easy meals, and they do taste fresher than alternatives (youfoodz, meal chef, etc.) but I'd rather just get the freshly made microwave ready to eat meals from Woolworths for the same price or cheaper.

Pubic hair found in my food, no compensation received after 3 months

Found three coarse, dark hairs (looks like pubic hairs) in the Four Mushroom Stroganoff meal. I felt sick thinking I may have eaten some unknowingly, and didn't feel safe consuming the rest as they clearly have poor hygiene and food handling practices. This was only my second order with Soulara so for this to happen so soon says a lot...

I raised a complaint advising I had cancelled my subscription entirely and no longer felt comfortable consuming the rest of the meals in my order as the hairs were embedded deep in my meal.
However the only compensation they repeatedly offered me was a credit for the one meal, even after I said I had cancelled my subscription and would not eat their food again!
They are very manipulative and try to delay resolving your support request. They've since pushed back my complaint first asking for the hair samples to be mailed in by post.
Now that I did that, they're saying it needs to be tested to check if it's mushroom mycelium... but that testing takes an indeterminate amount of time. So they can't give me resolution dates at all.
I repeatedly asked for their complaint escalation process, which they refused to provide.
And their emails and response times vary widely - with one agent leaving me unreplied to for almost 4 whole weeks.

Do not buy from them. Their food is unhygienic, they do not take accountability and have dirt poor customer support.

Avoid, will never purchase from again

We thought we would snag some meals with a good Black Friday discount not realising you automatically get subscribed to recurring orders without it being overly clear.

First of all the meals were delivered and left out in the sun, even though I emailed days prior and provided a gate access code to our complex.

When I received a second order confirm email I immediately tried to contact soulara to rectify and cancel the order and subscription. I emailed numerous times as well as called twice, the phone service goes to an answering machine, No response, 5 days and still waiting. Will never use again or recommend this service to anyone.

Meals Delivered on Random Days—Very Disappointing

I came across an ad on Instagram and decided to try the meals because they looked great. I've been on the lookout for plant-based options for a while. Unfortunately, my experience was absolutely terrible.

I ordered my meals for delivery on October 14th, but they arrived almost a week early, on October 9th. Seriously?! I thought it might have been a mistake, so I emailed customer service, but that was a waste of time. They said they would check and try to help, but they were utterly unhelpful.

Then, customer service reached out and offered me a voucher to give it another shot, which I did (and regretted). Again, I ordered meals to arrive on a Monday, and they were delivered on Wednesday. This time, my emails went unanswered; I felt completely ignored.

I usually check reviews before making any purchase, but for some reason, I didn’t this time. There are so many complaints about the same delivery issues, and it seems like nothing has been done to improve the system. Plus, the food is just okay, not amazing.

I read many reviews saying that IKU is better, and after my terrible experience with Soulara’s delivery and customer service, I made the switch. It was the best decision! The food is better, and they deliver on time.

Soulara team, if you don’t resolve this delivery issue, you’ll keep losing customers. This is the first time in my life that I've left a bad review for a business. If you understood the hassle your delivery mistakes caused in my routine, you might appreciate my frustration. Unfortunately, it seems like you care very little about your customers.

Terrible customer service and marjor logistics mistakes

Soulara deleted my initial comment and did not respond to my emails, compelling me to share my experience publicly. Recently, my order was delayed again, and despite the team's insistence that it was dispatched, no delivery time was provided, and it was left outside my apartment building without any notification, raising safety concerns due to the delay. After emailing them and receiving no response, we decided against consuming the meals and requested a refund, which they continue to ignore. Given their lack of response, refunding my order seems to be the least they could do. Despite numerous mistakes, my family has supported your business for 3 years, but I think it's time to end this and look for an alternative that provides better service. This repeated treatment is unacceptable. For new customers, be cautious; while their meals are okay, the hassle and frustration you'll encounter may not be worth it. They are prone to errors such as miscounting meals, I delivering incorrect food, and on the wrong dates, which will leave you struggling to obtain a refund for their mistakes. They will also ask for unnecessary requests to prove that it's their mistake.

Poor Customer Service

When they sent me the date for my delivery I realised I would be out of town so I requested a cancellation or postponing of my order.

I was told via email that they could not reschedule but could cancel the order and would get back to me when it was done. I waited a day, sent a follow up email, waited another day then got a response from a different person saying it was now too late.

When I challenged them and and directed them to the email assuring me the order would be cancelled they ignored me. Avoid.

Definitely avoid Soulara

Such a badly run business. Avoid them, seriously. They really don't understand customer experience. Placed order for delivery on Mondays, but rather than contact us about it, they just didn't deliver it. They then set up delivery for the following Saturday. I don't want it delivered on a weekend, almost a week late. No one is there to accept the delivery on the weekend, as it's our office address. Do you think I could get it changed...no chance. Email support is a complete waste of time. It's slow and they can't/won't do anything to help. It's a shame because I really want to support fully plant based businesses, but it's just a poorly run business, plain and simple.

Gone downhill, try Iku instead

Gone downhill, use Eat Iku instead. It used to be the best vegan meal service - in last 6 months it must have changed hands. Suddenly they mess up our order nearly every week, there are delivery issues, meals taste odd and one time it was completely inedible. We've switched to Eat Iku vegan meals which is recommend 100%
