South Farm Holiday Cottages and Fishery Avis 

Our 3rd trip back to South farm this year
As usual a very warm welcome from Justin
Our cottage was clean & very homely
With a nice touch of the milk, tea, coffee & biscuits well appreciated on arrival
Met some lovely people which always makes a good holiday
Fishing was slow but a few nice ones caught.
Can't wait to go back next year

Back again stable cottage clean accommodation with addition of bath towels, fishing was very good on home lake up to a 26lb carp .site was very clean and tidy Justin could not do enough for you ,had a great week be back in May

This was our 4th time at South Farm and certainly wont be our last. The cottages are extremely well equipped, very clean and well maintained.
Justin works exceptionally hard to maintain and continually improve the site from the leisure facilities to the swimming pool and the 3 fishing lakes. The fishing is amazing here from Ram lake which has good size carp to Home lake where the bigger fish live, but that are more challenging to catch.
We booked four days this time and ended up staying another week which should say alot!
Fantastic place cant wait to go back... would highly recommend.

Lovely stay, accomodatiom was cosy, very clean and comfortable. Play barn was fab and kept my 7 yr entertained on a rainy day and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Thanks for a great stay! Hollie, Adam and Jack

3yrs we have been going to South Farm Cottages and it was our third visit this year and it never let's us down great fishing and the accommodation is like home from home and Justin cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable

We had a very quick weekend, joining our family for a 90th birthday celebration. We had a lovely time, most of the family fished, some of us used the pool, very refreshing after all the muggy weather we have had. Beautiful views, very tranquil. Would highly recommend this as a holiday.

This was our 14th year going to South Farm and we love it every year. Nice and tranquil my husband and son when he decides to join us love to fish, myself and daughter love the nearby walks with Winnie and just chilling in the cottage, the views from the cottage are amazing and watching the sunset each evening is just another added bonus. Justin has has done the site proud its well maintained and is always on hand should you need anything. We will be back again next year to enjoy another beautiful break :)

We had a family holiday with all the family. stopped in stables and coshes cottage.plenty of room.beautifull views of the countryside.Hot tub made my grandchildren holidays complete. The swimming pool play barn the park area. The first time they had been fishing .They all went to lower ram .all caught fish each.realy enjoyed there stay the pools cottages swimming pool the play barn.park area.the gardens all looked after by Justin and his staff. It was a lovely site when you pulled up for your stay.We are returning guest's and will keep booking holidays there.My grand son was crying as he wanted to stay longer.Thanks to Justin and his staff for a amazing holiday.looking forward to go fishing and have some more incredible fish.see you in October.thanks again.

We’ve just got home from a week stay in Stable Cottage at South Farm. WOW!
We’ve really had the best time.
The location is fantastic, nestled in the beautiful Devon countryside, it’s so peaceful and tranquil and really helped us to switch off and leave our very busy lives behind.
The fishing lakes are brilliant, the games room really has something for everyone, there is also a lovely pool with spectacular views.
The cottage had everything we needed, and quickly felt like home.
Justin was a brilliant host, he’s very knowledgable, welcoming and friendly. And really goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need and does a lot of work to keep the farm looking beautiful.
Thank you so much! We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful week at South Farm. My husband hadn't been fishing for many years and got lots of help from Justin and the other fishermen.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a real home from home week.
We loved exploring the local area, too.
100% recommend if you want a very peaceful, relaxing holiday with plenty on site to do and lovely things to do within 30 mins drive.

This was our second visit to South Farm. Justin and Vanessa are very welcoming and made the family feel like friends rather than returning guests. They went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable stay - nothing was too much trouble. Justin took a keen interest in my younger son’s fishing and seemed genuinely interested in how both sons had developed over the 2 years since our last visit, ( now 17 and 19). His passion for the site and his guests is very evident. The upkeep of the property itself is immaculate, the cottages grounds and lakes are beautifully. The fishing is excellent. There are some lovely walks from the Farm and various days out are within easy reach. We definitely plan to return in the future

Amazing holiday with South Farm, great cottage with wonderful facilities and superb fishing lakes. Justin and Vanessa are amazing hosts and really made our stay. Can't recommend them enough and Can't wait to go back.

The staff are excellent. They are friendly and go beyond the norm. To make the holiday experience special. The venue is immaculate and is always well presented. Fishing is great with something for all ages and abilities. A perfect family venue . A chance to relax and soak in the atmosphere in a gorgeous location in Devon.

Absolutly beautiful place with great fishing lakes carp upto 27 lb . Really helpful staff who go beyond to make your stay trully comfotable.The homes you stay in are well contained with all the things you need for a great stay if this was a 5* rating it would be a 10

This is our 5th visit and had a great time as usual. Justin and the team are doing a brilliant job. The lakes are well kept and my husband said despite the hot weather the fishing was good - plenty of healthy fish. The cottage was clean, tidy and well equipped and the pool was lovely , perfect as we were there during the heatwave! We just love south farm, it’s so peaceful and Justin’s always friendly and helpful. Already booked for October and looking at dates for next year! Cant wait to get back to my happy place!

The accommodation and lakes were fabulous and Justin couldn't do enough to ensure everyone's holiday was going as well as possible.
Well stocked and impeccably maintained lakes and everything you need was available. Great little touches, like fresh milk and biscuits in the accommodation on arrival, well stocked kitchen and bathroom and carts available for guests to use for their fishing gear.
Highly recommend this venue for a fishing holiday.

We are returning customers. Our third visit, each one getting better and better. The extra touches- towels, flowers, biscuits, air fryer, all make it so much like home. The Farm House was spotless, new hot tub a luxury, a warm welcome from Justin and Vanessa.
The fishermen were very successful, although we all struggled with the excessive heat.
Some or possibly all of us will be back next year,
Justin has done a great deal of work on the land and the lakes. The grass was cut everywhere, we had stripes on the lawn, the flowers and pots were well looked after.We really appreciated the effort that has been put in for our comfort and enjoyment. All three generations had a great time,
Look forward to returning there.

All 15 of us enjoyed our week at the Devon Longhouse.
Plenty of room with excellent bedrooms and bathrooms.
The hot tub was superb and we enjoyed several barbecues in the evenings.
The three fishing lakes enjoyed by everyone!
All caught fish even the non anglers in our party.
The landscaping around all lakes is superb and very well maintained.
All enjoyed a walk on Sunday to the Ashill inn. We had prebooked excellent roast!
The swimming pool is a good size some had a quick dip! Not to long as our stay was early Easter.

Our three sons and five grandsons went karting on near by aerodrome. A good time was had by all!

The most relaxing holiday ever! None of us could fault it!
Thanks Justin for all your help and advice much appreciated by all of us.

A note on Jason & Kath’s dog “Belle” (cocker poo)
Sadly we lost her a couple of days after we got back home. ( very sad). She had a wonderful week and enjoyed all the fuss and attention!
She was only six but enjoyed every second of it!!

Excellent, clean and spacious property. Perfect for a family gathering. Good sized garden for the children to play in. Tranquil surroundings. Lots of prompt communication with property hosts who are very accommodating.

Had a great week away staying in 2 properties at South Farm . The weather was scorching which meant the outdoor pool was a blessing . Justin and the team were ever helpful and we shall be back once again for sure in the future .
