Hattie was very welcoming from the beginning making everyone feel at ease. Hattie was always prepared to help during lesson & available for contact in between to answer queries. Lesson content was enjoyable & relevant for a complete newbie! After 8 weeks a little knowledge has been gained to be able to order a few basic things in shops, cafes, markets as well as being able ask to slow the conversation down! I am a long way from fluent but feel I could now understand simple conversations! Small personal classes which helps to build confidence. I have signed up for the next course. I have loved every lesson & can't wait for January lessons!

George has just done his first lesson with The Spanish Academy, the only feedback i needed was an excited little man asking when can he do it again. He was fully engaged and learning for the whole lesson which was amazing to see.

I've just started Spanish lessons with Harriet and am very pleased to have found her. She responded very promptly to my initial message and has been flexible in setting up lesson times. Harriet is great, she is friendly, accommodating, and puts your mind at ease. Learning a foreign language can feel a bit daunting or embarrassing, especially when speaking it out loud. I had a free trial lesson wirh Harriet and from there, I knew this was the best option for me. Not only do you get to learn the language, Harriet gives insight in to the culture of Spain and puts things in to context, something you cannot get on apps like Dualingo! I would 100% recommended her if you want to learn Spanish.

From a simple message on a weekend Harriet has fit me in to a regular weekly spot online. Whilst the whole experience is completely out of my comfort zone the lessons are really enjoyable thanks to Harriet’s teaching style and demeanour. Cannot fault and would highly recommend to anyone. I’d hit a wall trying to learn the language on my own and I’m already looking at things more clearly and with better understanding after only two lessons.

Harriet is a patient and friendly teacher who is great with children and fantastic at what she does. My child feels comfortable asking questions and feels confident in taking part in the tasks set inside and outside the lessons. I'm amazed at how quickly my child is picking up Spanish. They now confidently speak basic phrases and can count in Spanish, which is exciting to see.

I have just finished my second 1-1 Spanish class with Harriet. I am so glad I found Hattie as a Spanish tutor as she is a wonderful teacher!

My daughter has been under Harriet’s tutorage for Spanish some years now. What used to be face to face lessons had to move to Zoom during COVID and has continued that way since with no detriment to the well structured and fun lessons.
