My colleague and I are compelled to write this review out of sheer desperation and disgust, as a stark warning to any unsuspecting soul considering working for a company unfortunate enough to be registered in Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone (SPCFZ), or for any business owner naive enough to believe this is a fair or supportive environment for their employees. Our experience has been an unmitigated disaster, a bureaucratic hellscape that has left us stranded, facing severe personal and financial ruin due to SPCFZ's callous and illogical policies.
The nightmare began when our employer, a company ensnared within SPCFZ, inevitably faced financial and compliance problems – a suspended license, an employee (one of us!) forced into overstay because SPCFZ actively blocked visa processes, an expired E-Channel, the usual mess. As employees, our obvious and urgent need was to get our residence visas cancelled so we could escape this sinking ship, find new jobs, or simply regain control over our legal status. But this is where SPCFZ revealed its true, obstructive nature.
SPCFZ, with breathtaking arrogance, blocked our visa cancellations, callously blaming our employer's company-level issues. This has plunged us into an impossible, maddening "catch-22" situation: SPCFZ refuses to cancel our employee visas because of the company's problems, yet our employer is hamstrung from easily resolving these company-wide issues (many of which are typically addressed during a formal company closure) precisely because SPCFZ's actions have made it nearly impossible to manage anything. It's a disgusting charade where we, the employees, are treated as pawns, held hostage while SPCFZ apparently tries to squeeze our employer.
The impact on us, as employees who have done nothing wrong, has been nothing short of devastating and infuriating:
One of us is now agonizingly unable to accept a new job offer, a lifeline, because our current visa is being held captive by SPCFZ's incompetence and indifference. This isn't just stressful; it's life-altering in the worst way.
The other one of us has been shamefully forced into an overstay situation (over 170 days and still climbing!) solely and directly because SPCFZ deliberately blocked the timely cancellation of the visa. This means we are racking up crippling fines daily, a direct consequence of SPCFZ's gross negligence.
Even when our employer, in good faith, attempted to navigate SPCFZ's convoluted instructions for visa cancellations, including making payments for one of our applications, we were met with nothing but endless, infuriating delays and a complete absence of any clear commitment or basic competence from SPCFZ.
The entire process has been an insulting ordeal of confusing, contradictory, and utterly unhelpful communication from SPCFZ. They've displayed a sickening lack of understanding – or perhaps, a deliberate disregard – for how their appalling actions impact the lives of real people, the employees, and have shown zero willingness to offer any practical, humane solutions to the deadlock they themselves engineered.
When our employer desperately sought clarity on whether paying SPCFZ's processing fees for one of our visa cancellations would actually result in an approval, they were forced to practically beg for an assurance that it wouldn't just be blocked again by the same unresolved company issues – a basic guarantee that any reputable authority would provide without question. It's a disgrace.
Our experience has been an unrelenting torrent of extreme frustration, unbearable stress, and significant financial strain, all directly attributable to what can only be described as SPCFZ's unreasonable, obstructive, and frankly, disgusting practices. Their rules seem designed not to regulate, but to punish everyone, including innocent employees, when a company faces difficulties. It's a system that appears to thrive on creating misery.
We implore anyone considering a job with a company unfortunate enough to be located in SPCFZ: be incredibly careful. If your employer stumbles, you will be the one trapped in SPCFZ's bureaucratic quicksand, with no help, no empathy, only more problems and more contempt. This has been a profoundly awful, soul-destroying experience, and we wouldn't wish this hell on our worst enemy.
Very very Bad experience alwys they just took the money first and after that change the statement . Alwys their desk borad person give wrong information and alwys waste the time they are soo unprofessional and dont know about any thing just want to took money first and after that ok system is checking
Extremely disappointing experience.
I’ve been trying to cancel my company setup with them for over a month now, and it’s been nothing but frustrating. They call me multiple times a day, each time it’s a different person who has no idea what’s going on. I’m constantly having to repeat my situation from the beginning, only to be told something new every time. Their portal is full of errors and won’t let me submit my cancellation request, and instead of helping, they just pass me around and disappear.
At the start, when you’re setting up your company, they’re friendly and responsive but once you’re in, the support completely disappears. If you ever need to make changes like a cancellation or move to a mainland license, they make it almost impossible. No one takes ownership, and no real help is provided.
I wouldn’t recommend this company at all unless you’re prepared to waste a huge amount of time and energy.
To everyone praising them for their service on company formation, that is all about it. For new company formation, they are super quick, they will respond to emails quickly with follow up calls. Your agony will start post formation. They have outsourced their customer service who are sitting in a different country and reply to everything vaguely. They do not even bother to read your emails thoroughly. There is no real person available at SPC who can listen and address your issues. When it comes to renewals or amendments, they will omit material information from you so that you remain stuck with them. I have been a customer for over 3 years now but am now winding up with them and moving to a different free zone, this itself is a huge loss for us as business continuity will be disturbed. My advise is to look elsewhere if you have not formed your company here yet. Zero customer service. Do NOT be fooled by the stellar reviews on company formation. Just select 1-star filter and you will see that all bad reviews are related to post formation.
Don't form your company here. When you want to form a new company, they will be super quick, they will call you within minutes after you've submitted your request and will respond promptly to your emails because they want your money. After that, you're stuck with them. Be it company renewal or amendment of any sort, they will be very slow to respond. Most of their functions have been outsourced to a third world country and everytime you will get a reply for a new person who will not bother to read the trailing emails and you will be asked again and again to explain to every new person what the problem is or what is that you are seeking reply to. Do yourself a favour and avoid them.
Poorest experience ever.
They said visa was issued and i traveled to UAE for biometrics only to be told it was a mistake and visa was not issued. SPC did not take responsibility.
The emails are answered by staff in India who respond with generic response, do not answer your questions etc.
AVOID AT ALL COST>
To begin with they are nice and helpful. Once you pay then that it they dont want to know and dont care at all
I'm having the worst experience ever in my life.
I have an FZE company registered with them (Ortashi), and I submitted a visa renewall via thier portal, when I called the second day they told me that the digital viersion will be issued end of the day, but it wansn't, not even the next day, on the third day I checked the ICP portal by my self and found that ICP has returned the applicaiton only two minutes after it was submitted, due to an expired establishment card, until the end of the day SPC didn't give me any feedback and just telling we will email the visa department. I requested a manamgent call back, and I got nothing. this is causing my lots of losses as I have to changes my business travels and alter my schedules.
If you think getting a simple service from this company is difficult, just wait until you try to get a response to a complaint.
The level of unprofessionalism is staggering. The amount of time I have wasted trying to reach any form of management is beyond frustrating. Emails go unanswered, phone calls lead nowhere, and when you do finally reach someone, you’re met with vague responses and no real solutions.
To make matters worse, I was told the fee I paid was utilized in services (that I never got) and that they actually provided me with dedicated account manager free of charge. Yet, despite supposedly having this dedicated support, I received nothing but delays, poor communication, and an utter lack of accountability.
If this is what service looks like with an account manager, I can only imagine how much worse it would be without one. And of course, when I requested a refund for a service I never actually received, I was met with the same stonewalling and lack of response that seems to define SPC Freezone’s approach to customer service.
If you value your time and, more importantly, your money—stay far away from SPC Freezone. There are far better options out there that won’t leave you chasing your own tail just to get basic assistance.
Avoid SPC Freezone – A Nightmare Experience
As a business owner, I’ve dealt with many companies over the years, and I have never left a negative review—despite occasional minor frustrations. However, my experience with SPC Freezone has been so appalling that I feel obligated to warn others.
At the start, SPC Freezone was incredibly responsive, constantly calling, emailing, and WhatsApp messaging me with offers and promises of seamless service. But the moment I made payment, everything changed.
Getting hold of anyone became nearly impossible. The entire visa and medical process was a nightmare, causing me enormous stress. What should have been a straightforward residency process took several months longer than expected, leaving me stuck in Dubai, unable to leave, which had a severe impact on my business—I couldn’t travel to meet clients or operate effectively.
Every time I reached out for updates, I was bounced between different representatives, none of whom had any knowledge of my case. It was an endless cycle of miscommunication, delays, and frustration.
Due to SPC Freezone’s failings and incompetence, I have now been forced to close my company with them at a considerable cost. Despite their endless mistakes, they refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing and have provided no apology or accountability for their actions.
On multiple occasions, I was told that the company was under restructuring and that staff were still being trained—yet this was at the direct expense of paying customers like myself. How a company can operate in such chaos while continuing to take on new clients is beyond me.
To this day, I have received no formal acknowledgment, apology, or resolution from SPC Freezone. They clearly have no idea what they are doing and show no concern for the financial and professional damage they cause.
If you are considering using SPC Freezone, I strongly advise against it. Their lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service has made this one of the worst business experiences I have ever had.
Stay away and look for a more reputable free zone if you value your time, money, and sanity.
Scammers they only want to sell and get paid , worst experience ever , if they contact you just block them.
I had an awful experience with SPC Free Zone. From the beginning, the commercial representative, Arjun, assured me that I could run my business remotely from outside the UAE, specifically from Spain. After paying over €2000 to set up the company, I discovered it was impossible to open a bank account without a visa and residency in the UAE. This was entirely the opposite of what they promised. I feel deceived because the information provided was false, and now I’m left with a company that I cannot even operate.
I absolutely do not recommend their services. They mislead you and take your money without delivering what they promise. It's a total scam and fraud.
Scammers, they are fraud. Took my money and didn't do what was promised I cancelled immediately realizing their unprofessional behavior, my money was not returned I lost almost 8500 AED and still asking them to return. But the whole team is fraud, they keep asking me to wait and wait, it's been more than a month, money not returned. Not recommended
Its the worst communication and also Managment I have ever experienced in my whole life. We really tried our best but it took us hours and hours communicating with these brainless robots. Complete frustrating. We told them that we have only a month or less to get visa for school and everything and than portal was damaged and it send our payment wrong so we had to wait 10-45 working days to process only the payment they already got. No sorry, no help or somthing. just same temeplates by mail and whats app. This place should be closed. BAD karma!
