Great football and arts coverage, Antony Hilton is brilliant in the Finance section. Its a pity though about the Editorials, George gets a bit carried away with himself at times.

Israeli Standard or London Evening Standard?

Scarcely any mention of the 20,000+ Palestinian children that were massacred by Israel’s reckless aerial bombardment of Gaza from October 2023, however the newspapers are quick to criticise peaceful protestors flagging up Israel’s military response by routinely conflating anti-Semitism with anti-Zionism.

Anti-Zionism is a protected philosophical belief under the Equality Act 2010, as per the legal precedent set in the case of Miller v University of Bristol: An employment tribunal in the UK has concluded that Anti-Zionist beliefs had met the criteria of being “worthy of respect in a democratic society, be not incompatible with human dignity and not conflict with the fundamental rights of others.”

Furthermore, the newspaper contains misinformation that concerns public health, as like many other newspapers they do not even report on the forgotten victims of mRNA harm. The journalists writing the articles are not biochemists, yet they make one-sided blanket statements on this subject.

The newspaper seems to have a conflict of interest in multiple areas, and it does not seem that impartial or neutral.

Doesn't follow its own code of conduct, lies by omitting information and pushes feelings as facts.

Doesn't follow its own code of conduct especially the parts around making sure that it's news articles are factually correct. Unfortunately this takes second place towards pushing a political standpoint or a false narrative. I've personally seen many Evening Standard articles both online and in their print newspaper lie by omitting information, push emotional arguments of the journalist over facts and misrepresent quotes. I've even emailed them to point out where their journalists were incorrect but they've never once responded to me. By all means have your political leanings. By all means be part of the progressive left but make sure you include all of the facts so that readers can verify what they're reading and so that you're letting them come to their own conclusions.

Propaganda news

Just read what appears to be a one sided news article, very clearly bought and paid for propaganda claiming to be news. A ridiculous news source / outlet. They clearly don't allow comment on their site for a reason. You should really be able to block these types of sites on Google.

Is it available anywhere in West London?

Do they even bother to distribute the new Standard anywhere in West London since it's weekly re-launch?

I used to pick up a copy almost daily. Now I can't find it anywhere.

Asda Park Royal... nope!
North Acton Underground Station... nope!
Acton Main Line station... nope!

Annoyingly, I've yet to see a single copy since re-launch. What on earth has gone wrong with the distribution?

Little point in re-launching the paper if regular readers can't ever get their hands on a copy!

Unable to frame the customer base of a 200 year old historical paper.
The last thing they wanted to see is an A I picture of a winter fuel tzar, for more political blood letting by mighty press barons, gone by days.
The nation is quick at letting the London Standard rest in peace outside the stations by squatting in City Am distribution boxes, alienation by a design, wobbly

Dylan Jones Article on Connaught Village

After reading an article written by Dylan Jones that is so venomous about Connaught Village and its supposed ambition to revival Marylebone High Street I felt compelled to write this review.
How dare you, Evening Standard, allow the bias nasty opinion of your editor in chief to be published. Do you realise how an article like this can impact on existing businesses operating there, frankly putting people off from visiting!! The independent businesses operating there are probably struggling with rising costs already and don’t deserve this kind of negativity.
Furthermore, the rents in Connaught Village are a fraction of what they are in Marylebone High Street, something Mr D Jones has not factored in his vile review.
The article basically appears to be written out of some misguided hatred, possibly for the Church Commissioners? by a frustrated nasty closet.
I will be taking this further as a complaint as this kind of nasty journalism needs to be stamped out.
